It‘s actually worse because almost every item on the map was a suspicious item which got you spotted if an NPC saw you holding it. And killing a target didn‘t restore SA if the target spotted you.
I think what's worth mentioning about Longevity is that Hitman 1 cheats a little. By that I mean that whilst Hitman 1 released only with ICA training facility and Paris, and went on from there, both 2 and 3 released with 6 maps each from the start, and had continuous support from there. This results in Hitman 1 getting an unfair advantage, and also penalizing H2 and 3 for releasing as finished products.
One thing Im not a fan of in hitman 3 is that in earlier games, you could get frisked while carrying illegal items, and the guard frisking you would try and arrest you. It was something I liked having to keep track of, and adding the illegal item block took some of the realism and enjoyment out of it
Oh, I agree. But also, nothing makes more annoyed when trying to do a really precise run with no mistakes is forgetting a little detail and ruining 30minutes work. So whilst more realistic, avoiding a 'Derp'is appreciated
@@Moleoflands But that's the point. You're supposed to be the world's best assassin, paying close attention-to-detail at all times. Losing games isn't fun but that's what makes winning feel even better..
@andrebr1148 mate it's a game you're not actually meant to have the mental skills of a super assassin. irl you can't use focus either, doesn't mean they should remove it lol
For the holding down thing,it works by measuring for how long you held the G key,so if you go in your inventory, hold G and exit the inventory, even though the game was paused during that time, you were holding the key for over 0.5 seconds and you instantly exit mission, posion food, dump a body etc. Thats why i binded my inventory key to upper side mouse button (mouse 5) because i can spam it and not lose any time on the clock. Im not speedrunning but i might try doing it
The only thing i think is worse in hitman 3 than 2016 is, that when lock picking a door, it will automatically open. Or also opening with keys. In 2016 this was better, because you could lockpick and only open when you were sure no one would be there
For gameplay, every single Hitman entry has something better that the others don't. Hitman 2016 has amazing explosions with debris that lingered long after the blast. Hitman 2 had better physics, guns and blasts interacted with the environment more. Hitman III... well it just kinda rounds it all together.
before freelance id give 2 the edge but the addition of freelance adds a level of replay ability to the game as a whole for me that has had me addicted. I think the idea of earning all your gear and that you lose it if you fail adds something special
When Hitman 2 came out it didn't have those yellow detection arrows it had the same as 2016. They changed it mid 2019 I think. But I know for a fact it wasn't like that in 2018.
Good video, totally agree. Hitman 2016. I actually liked the episodic nature of the maps/updates. Gave good time out from the game, gamers do often like playing multiple games, so worked well in my own view. But did kill momentum in the actual story. So a year later when Hokkaido was released I was actually a bit lost in the actual story , oops lol replay time in the lead ups Hitman 2 I felt let down with the animated cut scenes. But great maps/gameplay/story Hitman 3 was a great ending all round. Great finish to the trilogy Every time I started off from scratch and like rebuilding the mastery levels. So lost some items I might not get back but whatever no complaints. Only picked up 3 last year because I just knew it would be a long lasting favourite & played 2 to death before it was released. When prompted to download part 3 I just kept to part 2 🤣 Freelancer update, brilliant. Breathing new life into maps like Paris & Sapienza after 5 years is no easy thing. Just shows how great a job they done on their designs. Great for old players and new.
Great video, loved the analysis. Always thought 2 had the better content. But Ambrose & freelancer great value. 3 should have lost points somewhere for all the escalations.
3 can't lose points because it offers literally all the maps from the first and second game. 3 cheats so hard for the bang for buck category but it was actually fun replaying through Hitman 1 via Hitman 3.
Considering how steep the price is and how many DLCs you have to buy, you cant really say that anymore. I agree, Hitman 3 wins and definitly has the most bang, but if its a good balance considering the pricing, I'm not really sure. I mean, base game 70 bucks, deluxe DLC another 30, 10 bucks for freelancer suits and decent weapons and then you still dont get the trinity pack if you didn't preorder it and will probably gave to pay for it in a couple of months. Honestly, that just sucks. Then again, if you didn't previously owned any other hitman game, you absutely get the most bang for your bucks. 3 great games in one, 5 different game modes? All for 110$ that is more than fair.
@@a_catfish5180 I agree, but technically speaking they are downloadable content, which is what DLC stands for. Bit I absolutely agree, 5$ is way too much for whatever the fuck those get you. Some weapons and 2 suits for 10$? Absolutely not worth it. That said, those are still nice things to have, I agree, they should have been included in the base game. Its not like those weapons are that great and those suits dont get you any benefits.

I started my hitman career when Hitman 2 launched! I was already a big of the old Hitman games but with Hitman 2 it was a huge impact for me: Graphics, Gameplay, Animations and Cutscenes were great. I played Hitman 1 only as rework of the package cause i bought Hitman 1+2 via Steam.... then that Epic Game was mandatory for getting early access on Hitman 3 so i got it with all DLCs and hat to play again from Start to get all ingame challenges because they didnt count 😢 i was very pissed that would impact my rating on Hitman 3 but Overall great work
I played 2016 the most and really enjoyed how much they let you get away with in that one. I also played it while I had covid so maybe that’s clouded my judgement.
hitman 1 is the first game i played and only played it and not hitman 2 for years. but when i started hitman 2 and 3 the first thing that struck me as a big change was the lockpick speed and also the ability to do a crouched animation for it aswell.
last summer i bought hitman 2016 during steam summer sale but for some reason it just didn't work due to issues communicating with the server? so i gave up on it. then last winter sale i put my hands on Hitman 2 and since i already had Hitman 2016 in my steam library i got it in Hitman 2 as well, but i didn't have time to play it back then. then in the steam spring cleaning sale i bought Hitman 3 (world of assassinations) for a really good price, and of course because i already had hitman 1 and hitman 2 in my steam library i also got their story modes unlocked in hitman 3, but i didn't actually realise that at the time. so i started playing Hitman 1 inside Hitman 2 back in April and oh boy i didn't even know what i was missing, it was REALLY awesome. i played it to completion (the story) and then said to myself that i'll come back to finish Hitman 2's story at a later date. well, this later date was this Sunday, and it was such a good game that i actually continued ahead to play Hitman 3's story too. and now i am extremely excited about a Hitman 4 game in the future lol so from my own personal experience i can say this: i feel like Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 have more "meat" in them, i mean it did take me around 19 hours to complete both games in my first play-through of the missions, while Hitman 3 took me around 6 hours to complete the story in my first playthrough. i CAN say that in Hitman 1 except for the prologue you don't really have any of those filler missions that you don't really do much in them, the complexity of the levels is also very good, i especially liked Marakesh and Sapienza. Hitman 2 continues this trend and improves upon it, the maps sizes in some of the missions get ridiculously large and level complexity is next level stuff too, my favorite maps there were actually isle of sgail, santa fortuna (a LOT of depth in this map), Mumbai (this map is pretty big and is pretty open for so many options for assassinations), Miami (gives me strong vibes of Marakesh from Hitman 1), and Last resort which is probably my most favorite map out of the bunch, but to be honest all of the maps in Hitman 2 are bonkers! and for Hitman 3, this one is a mixed bag because the game is filled with filler missions and feels like it is somewhat hasted, map sizes are again HUGE, but for the targets in the story missions they are unnecessarily huge because usually both or all targets are mostly located around the exact same place and can be easily killed even from a distance, it feels like there is no challange even though i'm playing on the hardest difficulty which is a shame. as for favorite maps - i'm really not sure about this, i really liked Dartmoor but it was mostly because of the murder investigation minigame rather than the map itself (which was quite confusing inside the mansion), Chongqing was also pretty good because it had those Hitman 2 map vibes i liked, but the streets felt pretty dead tbh and yeah i know its supposed to be midnight but still it was way to easy to finish this mission without witnesses or being hunted/compromised etc. when it comes to story, at first i felt like Hitman 1 was a pretty generic story, but after Playing Hitman 2 the story of Hitman 1 made a lot of sense. the Story in Hitman 3 as i mentioned before just seems like IOI were rushed to just finish the story - it has no depth or emotional attachment in it as the story in Hitman 2 was trying to achieve. so my favorite here would be Hitman 2 i guess, followed by Hitman 1 and lastly Hitman 3. also, the voice acting in all three games is EXCELLENT - i have to say that. idk i think my favorite game out of all three would have to go to Hitman 2 simply for the complexity of the levels, 2nd favorit would be Hitman 1 and least favorite would be Hitman 3 - purely based on experience with the story and the maps. all in all though this is an Excellent trilogy and i am very hyped for a future Hitman game to continue the story (which thankfully IOI managed to still keep open). i didn't yet play the side missions so i can't say much about them, but at least thankfully i still have more missions to play in the trilogy! xD
When you don't like to hold down the G button to dump a body, then you can click I to open the inventory and while in the inventory click G. The body gets dumped instantly
Loved the video but i think some categories shouldve been weighted higher then the rest such as gameplay and bang for buck being weighed more then graphics and story. Still I doubt this would have changed the result
Only things that are missing for me in woa trilogy is 1 suspicious meter(already in silent assassin contracts Blood money) 2 first person camera (silent assassin contracts Blood money) 3 stretching fiber wire animations (codename 47 silent assassin contracts Blood money) 4 lift strangling (Blood money) 5 peek on the keyhole of a door (silent assassin contracts Blood money) 6 disarming guns (Blood money, absolution when human shielding) 7 jesper kyd (codename 47 silent assassin contracts Blood money) 8 dual wielding silverballers and any pistol and smg also sawn off shotguns(codename 47 silent assassin contracts Blood money absolution) 9 human shield(Blood money absolution) 10 npcs speaking different languages(silent assassin contracts Blood money) 11 slow motion before death and back to life if you shoot down 3 people (contracts Blood money)
9:31 I really don’t understand this one, many textures in 2016 look like they’re missing UV maps or ambient occlusion making everything feel flat and like it’s just floating there Hitman 3 definitely takes the cake especially with the ray tracing which since getting a new pc I run all the time
Anyone has preferences but actually I like the white suspicion indicator more than the yellow and if you know in the white suspicion indicator was there in hitman 2 but eventually they swapped it out
Hey! good video, but you totally forgot to include the Sarajevo six dlc for hitman 2016, maybe not a huge difference for the score but worth mentioning atleast.
Thanks! Excellent video. I would have liked you to account for your own Map Tier list for rating the maps of the three games, as a separate parameter from Bang for Buck.
I also returned to the first game recently and having difficulties with some missions i relied to old videos. Oh boy... they were VERY different from the last version of the game. Somehow IOI screwed up with the first game HARD as they patched it. Most of the problems we have today weren't there on early versions of Hitman.
While I agree Hitman 2016 had better details and effects and cutscenes it was severely lacking in some gameplay features like picture in picture mode , the same voice acting of npcs in every map and the maps werent that great apart from Sapienza which was the only map I liked in that game Hitman 2 is my most favorite of the three it had better gameplay ,two new dlcs map which are awesome to replay and more freedom of choice Hitman 3 was mixed bag for me while it had improved features but felt more narrative driven and stricter NPCs AI
I would say that in the base package hitman 2016 game you so much more then hitman 2 you can argue about the expansions but hitman 2016 has 6 maps with 4 Extra "Map missions" while hitman 2 just has 5 maps as Hawks bay is very small
Hitman 3 obviously... But I'm a huge fan of blood money. Which was my first Hitman experience. I thought it was the coolest game I've ever played at the time. The new stuff is kinda the same, just upgraded. Bigger maps more ways to kill. A lot of changes really.. but still reminds me of the old stuff too. Now freelancer is the coolest thing I've played recently. 1 through 3 are all about the same?
map wise hitman 1 only has Paris, Sapienza and Hokkaido with loadout thats fun and the others are just discouraging to get into. hitman 2 maps also kick ass but 3 targets in Santa Fortuna is annoying and Mumbai is pretty bad unless you use speedrun strats to kill maelstrom, and don't even get me started on how shit haven is. hitman 3 is amazing to play with tons of replayability and fun with maps that have suit only in mind so that's good too, Ambrose i hate myself because of how unfriendly it is for casual players but i do see where it can be fun here and there
I love the trilogy and all but I wish the Carryover process bs where less of a pain to have to do especially when you get the new game only to see you have to unlock your stuff again 🤦 ( I’ve had hitman 2 for some time and finally got hitman 3 last year and when I saw the bs about a carryover process I was down at first because why not it’s a great feature, but I’ve been having issues trying to sync my ioi account to the 3rd game for some time now and tbh I just want some of my stuff from the previous game back, is all I really wanted I died a bit inside knowing that I had to unlock the matador a different way this time too it’s bs how the degaldo larceny escalation is now useless on the 3rd game)
@@catbhoy Afaik that only worked if you already had Hitman 1 and linked your IOI account with it. But with the Freelancer update you can play Hitman 1 or 2 levels even if you never bought them before.
I am a tad bit confused as to why for graphics, he only talked about the 2016 levels and not about how good the graphics look in like Berlin for example
@Marto2168 that makes sense, but if you're considering the graphics of the game individually, the way he talks about all the other topics, the games own levels should be the focus not how hitman 2016 levels look in hitman 3 cause while like Paris doesn't look amazing in hitman 3 Dubai (imo) looks better than every level in hitman 2016
@@stage5442 It's also based on visual effects too like destroyable environments, smoke, props and etc... Hitman 2016 had the best, while Hitman 3 the worst.

I'm not entirely sure why you've included Sarajevo Six as Hitman 3 content. I realize it hasn't been available to everyone 'til now, but it's Hitman 2016 content.
Story of 2016 is not hard to follow 47 joins the ica he complete hits but a pattern is found out as all the hits where made by the same person that goes after providence for revenge for him being an experiment with agent 47 riders is found to be a traitor then on the train Dian meets with the constable and that leads to 47 and his friend going after providence it’s all simple if you had just paid attention
yeah,it wasnt really that hard to follow, considering its not really cahoo-big as other 2 games have.1999,ICA Trains 47,19 years pass poof we're in present days.
The slower climbing and movement of H1 was way better, it’s way too fast now and means that the timing is WAY too easy. You’re a great content creator but a lot of the stuff you like is stuff that just makes the game way easier, not better.
true,i liked the slow moving in 2016,it had elegancy and control instead of RUSH IN RACING.Same with slow instinct, probably the last resemble to Absolution and how you thought of opportunities while passing by and slow-motion helped player with it.
Third is worst even though Freelancer does give some extra spice. First established what it is and second perfected it with containers and improved experience system. It even had sniper mode.

the Story in Hitman 3 as i mentioned before just seems like IOI were rushed to just finish the story - it has no depth or emotional attachment in it as the story in Hitman 2 was trying to achieve.
so my favorite here would be Hitman 2 i guess, followed by Hitman 1 and lastly Hitman 3.
also, the voice acting in all three games is EXCELLENT - i have to say that.
idk i think my favorite game out of all three would have to go to Hitman 2 simply for the complexity of the levels, 2nd favorit would be Hitman 1 and least favorite would be Hitman 3 - purely based on experience with the story and the maps.
all in all though this is an Excellent trilogy and i am very hyped for a future Hitman game to continue the story (which thankfully IOI managed to still keep open).
i didn't yet play the side missions so i can't say much about them, but at least thankfully i still have more missions to play in the trilogy! xD
ok but can we all agree that hitman 2016 has the best aesthetics of the bunch?
When you don't like to hold down the G button to dump a body, then you can click I to open the inventory and while in the inventory click G. The body gets dumped instantly
If you're gonna do that every single time, it's gonna get annoying in like 2 playthroughs
Is that the same tactic used by speedrunners to exfiltrate quicker?
@@ethanlivemere1162 yes
@@ethanlivemere1162 yup, exactly
@@wildgold I mean you can go try it out bruh
Another thing which you didn’t mention that I feel was better done in Hitman 3 than 2 are the special objectives not always being mandatory
yup, i cant remember how many runs i lost in colorado sa/so trying to get inside
Loved the video but i think some categories shouldve been weighted higher then the rest such as gameplay and bang for buck being weighed more then graphics and story. Still I doubt this would have changed the result
Ghost mode would be more popular if it's not real time and work somewhat similarly to Dark Souls' ghosts
Only things that are missing for me in woa trilogy is
1 suspicious meter(already in silent assassin contracts Blood money)
2 first person camera (silent assassin contracts Blood money)
3 stretching fiber wire animations (codename 47 silent assassin contracts Blood money)
4 lift strangling (Blood money)
5 peek on the keyhole of a door (silent assassin contracts Blood money)
6 disarming guns (Blood money, absolution when human shielding)
7 jesper kyd (codename 47 silent assassin contracts Blood money)
8 dual wielding silverballers and any pistol and smg also sawn off shotguns(codename 47 silent assassin contracts Blood money absolution)
9 human shield(Blood money absolution)
10 npcs speaking different languages(silent assassin contracts Blood money)
11 slow motion before death and back to life if you shoot down
3 people (contracts Blood money)
9:31 I really don’t understand this one, many textures in 2016 look like they’re missing UV maps or ambient occlusion making everything feel flat and like it’s just floating there
Hitman 3 definitely takes the cake especially with the ray tracing which since getting a new pc I run all the time
Anyone has preferences but actually I like the white suspicion indicator more than the yellow and if you know in the white suspicion indicator was there in hitman 2 but eventually they swapped it out
Hey! good video, but you totally forgot to include the Sarajevo six dlc for hitman 2016, maybe not a huge difference for the score but worth mentioning atleast.
That's an exclusive, It doesn't count
Thanks! Excellent video. I would have liked you to account for your own Map Tier list for rating the maps of the three games, as a separate parameter from Bang for Buck.
The menu soundtrack in 2016 was the best
This ^
Hitman 2 is my favourite out of the 3. I also liked HM1 instinct because I used it a lot in gun fights.
7:27 "I never liked the holding down button thing anyway" me who's on console: first time?
I also returned to the first game recently and having difficulties with some missions i relied to old videos. Oh boy... they were VERY different from the last version of the game. Somehow IOI screwed up with the first game HARD as they patched it. Most of the problems we have today weren't there on early versions of Hitman.
I bought the bundle on ps5 for 30 bucks … I love it for the good deal
While I agree Hitman 2016 had better details and effects and cutscenes it was severely lacking in some gameplay features like picture in picture mode , the same voice acting of npcs in every map and the maps werent that great apart from Sapienza which was the only map I liked in that game
Hitman 2 is my most favorite of the three it had better gameplay ,two new dlcs map which are awesome to replay and more freedom of choice
Hitman 3 was mixed bag for me while it had improved features but felt more narrative driven and stricter NPCs AI
Good thing about these games was , i owned 1, then got 2. Imported 1 into 2, sold 1. Then got 3, sold 2. Had all 3.
1 through 3 are all about the same?
map wise hitman 1 only has Paris, Sapienza and Hokkaido with loadout thats fun and the others are just discouraging to get into. hitman 2 maps also kick ass but 3 targets in Santa Fortuna is annoying and Mumbai is pretty bad unless you use speedrun strats to kill maelstrom, and don't even get me started on how shit haven is. hitman 3 is amazing to play with tons of replayability and fun with maps that have suit only in mind so that's good too, Ambrose i hate myself because of how unfriendly it is for casual players but i do see where it can be fun here and there
I love the trilogy and all but I wish the Carryover process bs where less of a pain to have to do especially when you get the new game only to see you have to unlock your stuff again 🤦 ( I’ve had hitman 2 for some time and finally got hitman 3 last year and when I saw the bs about a carryover process I was down at first because why not it’s a great feature, but I’ve been having issues trying to sync my ioi account to the 3rd game for some time now and tbh I just want some of my stuff from the previous game back, is all I really wanted I died a bit inside knowing that I had to unlock the matador a different way this time too it’s bs how the degaldo larceny escalation is now useless on the 3rd game)
you forgot the sarajevo six for bang for buck
It should be worth to mention how Hitman 3 also comes with all the previous WoA content tbf so it's definitely worth most bang for the buck.
2 did the same for one, great concept for sequels.
@@catbhoy Afaik that only worked if you already had Hitman 1 and linked your IOI account with it. But with the Freelancer update you can play Hitman 1 or 2 levels even if you never bought them before.
@@Merty1388 very true very true.
Hitman 1 levels look much better in Hitman 1. Paris red carpet for the auction was much brighter
One thing that hitman 2016 did better was that you can carry a sniper rifle as a guard
I am a tad bit confused as to why for graphics, he only talked about the 2016 levels and not about how good the graphics look in like Berlin for example
Can only compare it that way because Hitman 2 and 3 maps not on the first Hitman game.
I just finished the trilogy so it is pretty fresh for me I liked the way 2 handeled the cut sceens especially the meeting of the constant and the 3 family head it looked very cool for me.
To be fair do you think you can scale a wall or pipe that fast?
Hitman 2 is one of the only games I can think of whose gameplay looks better than its cutscenes.
What cutscenes?
@@Mrz_gotban I mean just the storyline bits between each mission. I suppose they don't even qualify as cutscenes LOL
I had the most fun on hitman 2, so it’s my favourite
I'm not entirely sure why you've included Sarajevo Six as Hitman 3 content. I realize it hasn't been available to everyone 'til now, but it's Hitman 2016 content.
Prob cos I got re released last year. But you're correct
Maybe you can rate the Tomb Raider Trilogy or Uncharted games?
i like 2016 version is more realistic and logical !
really want hitman 3 but boy did they screw over people who own 1/2 already
What is freelancer mode?
2016 graphics >>
Personally, hitman 2 is the best one.
In terms of maps, 3 best, then 1 then 2
Honestly, I like hitman 2 because of it's look even though it's worse than hitman 3
1 graphically better. But 47 face in 2 is the best.
I mean soders
yeah,it wasnt really that hard to follow, considering its not really cahoo-big as other 2 games have.1999,ICA Trains 47,19 years pass poof we're in present days.

damn, tbh good job!

2 wass the best, 3 was alreight, 1 was great
This is ez. The hitman game is 1 the hitman game is 2 and the hitman game is 3
Third is worst even though Freelancer does give some extra spice. First established what it is and second perfected it with containers and improved experience system. It even had sniper mode.

Both hitman games are better.
Hitman 3 becuase u can play all of them on a new engine.
