Recognized Dr. David Suzuki's voice right away - that makes this a "Nature of Things" episode (long running Canadian series). I am a big fan of Istanbul's history - its a pity that the site had to be used for the subway, but that is not a unique situation in heavily urban locations around the world.
History is fascinating. Hopefully there will never be another earthquake like in the beginning of this year 😢

Who wrote the script? Who didn't check it? The Bosporus isn't a sea, and at 31:55 the narrator said "samples of the Earth's core". WTF? They're core samples, not samples of the core. Nobody has drilled to the core :P

@@aaronjaben7913 Does the nature of things say about the ancient Greek history of the harbor that was mentioned in Xenophon's (Ξενοφώντος Κύρου Ανάβασις) His book about the exodus of the mitionaries of the civil war of the Persians! Mr Suzuki must read the book!
