The writing in this show was so amazing. The writers seem to be aware that the joke at 2:04 was funnier than their normal ones. Notice how after house delivers the punchline we see a shot of Forman holding in a laugh, for obvious reasons. He can't give house the satisfaction of him laughing, or give him the pleasure of seeing his stone cold demeanor slip up. Its so subtle and realistic that I didn't notice it until now, and Ive watched this scene more than once. The little things like this add so much depth to the characters, they seem like real people.
With the final clip I love the idea that the interviewer asked a simple question and House just told a completely unrelated story but instead of stopping him and repeating the question they just sat there and listened til the end
House is lucky that everyday at work he has that one conversation with a colleague and says the very specific phrase that inadvertently and vaguely correlates to the patients illness, which thankfully saves their life.

There's also no real consistency in what they claim to be compiling. There are maybe three real "eureka moments" in this video, and the rest of it is padded with House being sarcastic. They could have had a whole season's worth of shots of the camera slowly zooming in on House's face and him explaining what he just realized. They didn't need to show him actually arguing with the patients about whether or not he's right. And that one at the end with 13 wasn't even a "eureka moment". She just happened to see evidence of something she'd already theorized could be the case.

My ex-bf's mother had it and had to have a unit of blood draw every month to prevent organ damage along with a modified diet. My ex-bf had to be monitored every six months for it because it's genetic. He was also told to eat a modifies diet. And he loved liver too, but couldn't have it. Vibrio, one good reason to not eat raw fish or shellfish.
Yeah, my dad has haemochromotosis and I’m potentially on the chopping block for it as well (yippee). He had to have a pint of blood removed a week, then once a fortnight, then once a month until the levels of iron in his blood were healthy enough that it’s just once every couple of months now. It was horrible for him - it hurt and he’d feel tired and crappy afterwards... but mostly he just bemoaned the fact that he couldn’t drown his misery with a plate full of his beloved steak and ribs xD typical dad lol. You have never seen a more wounded man than my dad being told to cut down his meat intake :,)

I have COPD because both of my parents chain smoked around me (and I have the 'early onset' genetic form... yippie) and I was born with asthma. I also have epilepsy and a screwed up back, my body hates me. I refuse to push my luck when it comes to my COPD (or any of my illnesses really), I watched my Dad die of end stage COPD and was his caregiver, it's a horrible way to die.
That’s not how his mind works. It needs to be constantly challenged. All that arguing and the back and forth helps him rule out which is which. More often, he asks for diagnoses and he tried to prove that it isn’t.
Always love when Wilson and House bounce off each other in differentials Their bond throughout the show is also just heartwarming, they respect each other's opinions on things even when they don't fully know if they're right or not.

I just don't understand why the bubonic plague was brought up here, considering that it could now be _potentially worse_ to have haemochromatosis than the plague. You can treat the plague with antibiotics (doxycycline for example). haemochromatosis is more complicated. I'm not denying that the black plague is painful and deadly especially if left untreated, it really is a horrible disease.

House's character is a genius but he really needs a team to give him the puzzle pieces so he can figure it out. It's amazing in deducing and patterns but he sometimes missed some simple things.

So the episode when they're treating the guy with the facial deformity. Theres a really funny scene where they watch the documentary thats being filmed. The editors spliced all kinds of bits together to make it look like house was a super attentive and caring doctor and everyone else was trying to sabotage him and screw him over. House gets completely outraged that made him seem like a good guy

Figured I should point out that you can get Lyme disease without a target rash (also known as the bulls-eye rash), I had it happen to me when I was a kid, instead, my right knee swelled up to about twice its size, luckily I went to the doctor before it could get worse, and a blood test confirmed the diagnosis.

Figured I should point out that you can get Lyme disease without a target rash (also known as the bulls-eye rash), I had it happen to me when I was a kid, instead, my right knee swelled up to about twice its size, luckily I went to the doctor before it could get worse, and a blood test confirmed the diagnosis.
