The episode with the patient who had rabies was a really good one (S1 Histories). The way Foreman went from a real jerk in the beginning to a lot more compassionate throughout the episode was great to see, made me see him in a different light. And the ending involving Wilson was also very interesting and was great for his character development. Another reason I enjoy the episode was because for the first time House is more of a side character, and the story focused more on Foreman, Wilson and the patient-very rare that House isn't central to the story. A very strong episode.
And one of the few episodes where the patient was dead before she first saw House. There was nothing they could have done to save her life. A very sad, and -- as you said -- very strong episode.
Every time I watch any episode, even i watched it long time ago, i never stop falling in love with the character that Mr. Hugh Laurie is representing. Just simply a "Super Human, GENIUS". I remember the episode of the woman having sleeping sickness. She got better and had to tell who she had slept with one time. Her husband's best friend. Cameron had to visit him to tell him he was infected, as she parked in front if his house his young boys were playing in the yard, that made it hard on her knowing he had wife and kids. The wife would also have to know and be tested. The husband walked away from his wife after she said it was only that one time. Cameron was upset with him, that's why House sent her to tell the man who was responsible. She knew in a glance that this family to will be broken up. House always tried to harden her to facts. He told her once that he knew how she felt about him. That she could fix him, or she thought she could fix him. She was drawn to people who are sick. He told her love doesn't fix a thing. It wasn't going to fix his leg or addiction. That it would only destroy her life and self esteem. I think after years of working with him,she understood where his mentality was coming from.

@@BobbyGeee yes. Im an aspiring medical student, and one thing that I struggle with is the idea of triage. Triage is the order in which you see patients determined by how critical their case is. If someone goes into an ER with a gunshot wound in the chest while someone else is waiting to be seen who complains of a cough and a headache, obviously the gunshot is more important to be seen immediately regardless of how long the other person has been there. Same with organ donation and transplant. You look at the probablity of the reciever to put that organ to use and make most out of life. If someone has liver failure because they are in the midst of chronic and severe alcoholism and shows no motivation to change their lifestyle, theres hesitation in regards to where to put them on the transplant list because that organ will be put to waste while others who have a fight and will to live suffer. Now, saving any life isnt a waste, however when you put the alcoholics case in perspective, there is a very high probablity that they will continue drinking/using after the transplant which is already incredibly dangerous, but they are also put on immunosuppresents which lowers their ENTIRE immune system so the abuse of drink is not only going to do damage, but its going to be at least 50x worse. To be succinct, being a doctor who interacts with patients and also has a say on who is "most deserving" of the most intense and life saving operations is hell, and the biggest thing on anyones mind is "by giving this organ to this person... am I killing someone else who may have used it for 10+ years longer and taken better care of it?". Certainly I'll take a doctor who selfishly wants to save my life because it looks good on his record than the one that doesn't care if I live or die and is just doing it because it's his job. The former is motivated to save me because he sees it as a benefit to him personally so will work hard at it unlike the latter who'll just move on to the next patient when his neglect ends up crippling or killing me.
I've been binge watching House since earlier this year .... it's on late on Duke tv (tv1) in New Zealand every Sunday and Monday night's....no commercials...just tv promos.... so there's about 6/7 episodes Sunday....4/5 on Mondays.... it's now in 2010 (began 2004).... it's brilliantly acted and written....Hugh Laurie's father was a doctor and also a Gold medal winning rower at the Olympic games in 1948 in London! He was also at the Berlin Olympics in 1936 as part of the rowing eight that finished 4th.....the USA won the Gold and a book was written about it and in particular one crew member Joe Rantz who lived into his 90's..... wonderful book that's just been turned into a movie!
About 30 years ago, my mother had a doctor, that reminds me so much of Dr house funny thing is, he was listed, as an expert diagnostician also like Dr house, 👍 he was very concerned for his patients, and not preoccupied with money I'm convinced that my mother lived as long as she did, because of his care and absolute dedication. G. House is a fascinating well written character. I will definitely be reserving time to watch the series some time in the future.
Wow, there are so many cameos from 24 actors in S1! Yeah, obviously they aren't actually related, but i was like seven or eight so...

People who say they don't want their love one to die without dignity to me is code for they wouldn't suffer like they think their love one is sufferring.
Whoa the amount of Prison break actors in this first season caught me off gaurd
And Michael appears a few seasons later as a patient too, couldn't believe it when I recognised him.
Despite his misantropy, we need a real-life Dr. Gregory House.
Bruh if you are having a problem with your health, you absolutely need to tell them everything, it doesn't matter if its illegal or not, you are dying. The stupidity to not tell doctors what is really wrong is baffling.
he was actually really nice to sister augustine...
House back in the days when Dr's were told that hydrocodone wasn't addictive. After years they had to finally admit it was highly addictive.
We are currently told marijuana is harmless(or nearly so). I know no one who uses it regularly that can voluntarily stop and have seen personality changes in close family heavy users.
My own doctor was a fan! Seriously!
I had an allergic reaction to meds and I quit taking them. Checked on the web and found out it could cause necrosis. When I saw my doc on Monday and explained, he said, “What do you know about necrosis?”
I told him a lot! I watch House.😁🤣🤣
Necrotizing fasciitis 😭😭
You can really see who house truly is on the inside, he doesnt want others to die... Lol probably more for a selfish reason that anything but still
Certainly I'll take a doctor who selfishly wants to save my life because it looks good on his record than the one that doesn't care if I live or die and is just doing it because it's his job. The former is motivated to save me because he sees it as a benefit to him personally so will work hard at it unlike the latter who'll just move on to the next patient when his neglect ends up crippling or killing me.
24:11 That perfectly cut off "YOU THINK???" 😂😂😂
Thank you for this gem of an upload
If there is a heaven, that Dr is defenitely there
"People don't bug me until they get teeth"😂😂😂
Haven’t watched this series, always kept hearing about it during the late 2000s/early 2010s - Kinna have a negative stereotype of shows on over the air channels as being crappy (they’ve never been my type) and now am obsessed with the clips from this series. G. House is a fascinating well written character. I will definitely be reserving time to watch the series some time in the future.
Most of these are just house being the man that speaks the brutal truth
45 minutes of perfection
I pretty much ended watching tv after this and GOT was over lol
Wow, there are so many cameos from 24 actors in S1! I had totally forgotten, but i just remembered watching both shows basically at the same time and being utterly convinced that there was some sort of crossover going on. Like, maybe Teri Bauer (spoiler alert) didn't actually die in 24, but instead got amnesia and ended up a patient of dr House? Yeah, obviously they aren't actually related, but i was like seven or eight so...
I finally understand the appeal of this show. Everyone fantasizes about finding a doctor capable of figuring out what's actually wrong with you.
The first episode is definitely one of my favorites!
One of the best TV dramas ever ❤.
1st class job of editing...I'm envious...
This a great collection of episodes.
Moin . vielen Dank ❤ frohes Fest
Yakuub knows your crimes
HOUSE A MEDICAL GENIUS!
At this stage they should just upload all the full episodes :D
Foreman and the baby...🤣
10:59 How did I only just get this Sound of Music reference?
4:43 House predicted “The Diddler”
I’m waiting the the clinic duty videos!
0:05 Lisbon! ❤️
I love watching your videos I can watch them all day like to morning to night
He likes crazy people...they're not boring...😂😂😂 gotta love Chase....House will always be one of the greatest shows.
i remember watching this show a lot when i would get sick and stay home from school, and it holds up so well.
This show almost made me a doctor but thank god the expenses made me stop😂
dude same, I still plan on med school because my mother is a saint and will help me pay for it, however I would have never considered it if I had to speak to the patient. Thats why Im opting for Forensic Pathology or a Medical Examiner 😭
I relate SO HARD to the second episode dude. I had a concussion, er found NOTHING. However, I couldn’t walk, light sensitive, noise sensitive, extreme migraines, and so on. They actually did that test of name animals. I think house was checking for eye movement with the flicks. If you can’t track that is a badddddd sign. So anywho. House 10/10 of make it awkward to get the truth. I admitted to my concussion/ hit. My brother denied his and uhHhH let just say he didn’t have as much medical support as me
4:43 DIDDLED BY DADDY OR MOMMY LMAOOOO DIDDY DIDDLER STRIKES AGAIN!!
No matter how many times I watch house MD I don’t get bored of it. It is just so funny and interesting at the same time.
Hugh Laurie is a treasure, as Dr. House.
We could use a few of his kind (brilliant genius) in the uk's NHS don't know if that would sort out the problems but sure would help Hugh rocks his role to perfection 😊
I shouldn't be laughing
When she said now i can't walk and im wearing 😂😅😂😂
40:07 ayyyy its harold freaking out lmao - i forgot how crazy good this show was. it shows how medicines worked with cgi (at the time)
the in-body zoom ins to microscopic. it's crazy how he can "speak american" with such a convincing accent... when his normal voice is
just as thick in the british meter, right-o guv'nah!
He is a great actor
0:21 not clinic duty
2:40 isn't either. These are his major cases, apparently.
ur the best for putting in the annotation of what season ep it is thx
