Oh my goodness, lucky you! Those paints are gorgeous. I’ve never tried handmade watercolors because they’re price prohibitive. But these! Fromthe paint to the lovely palette, simply beautiful.
So happy to see a review on Mashas paints!!! She one of my favorite handmade watercolor makers. I’ve never bought a color that isn’t amazing!! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!
I'm so glad you like the paints! I am head over heels over her mixes. I love that she includes pigment info (vivianite is actually a natural pigment, btw). When I approached Masha about a collab to send you paints, I specifically asked for a granulating set. The ones in the palette are her granulating best sellers. I also tried to make sure you were getting pigments I don't usually see you use in any videos (I've binge watched enough to have an idea of what you usually have on hand). The swatching is fun but where you see the magic is in actual full paintings as you will soon find out! 🤗🤗 Also, Masha and I had a huge (very friendly) debate going on for a few days. Now that you have the palette, which color do you like best so far from the swatches: Peach or Turquoise Violet? Also, if you had to pick two out of Peach, Flame and Turquoise Violet, which would you pick as good choices to use in addition to the others in the palette?
I adore this seller on etsy! Her paints are all granulating and soo gorgeous! I had never tried homemade paints before, I figured why fall in love with something that might not be able to be duplicated..but her paints are worth it, not just granulating but also usually a second color, very special.
Masha's paints are some of my favorites!!! It is so nice to see her get some air time with you!! You were the first intro to watercolors for me a few years ago, thank you for the fun honest energy you bring to all of us.
What a thoughtful gift! I enjoyed watching and listening to your enthusiasm! Preparing for a winter blast of ice and up to 18 inches of snow. Unusual for Indiana. And here I am confines after emergency surgery. Home, safe and being well taken care. My children are amazing!!
Ah Lindsay, those are spectacular granulating colors… you are causing my want monster to awake from its winter slumber. 🤩🥰🤣👍🏾 thank you Masha and Rosie! Thanks Lindsay for swatching those babies!!
Beautiful little palette! I love the vintage floral magnet top. The colors are gorgeous and love that they all granulate! Looking forward to seeing you use them and seeing how they mix. That cobalt green!😍 Thanks for sharing Lindsay!
Those colors are gorgeous! And the whole palate--what a beautiful work of art itself! What a special gift! I really appreciate you going over the colors and showing how they act! I will be checking out both shops for future purchases!
What a lovely gift from both ladies! I like that you showed us swatching them. I learned more about watercolor. Thank you! 🌺 Have a cheerful...not crabby day! 😜
I am gonna have to get some. I love that blue/purple one. Lindsay, you know so much about pigments just by sight. Amazing. I can't even remember my phone number half the time.
These paints are lovely! What an awesome gift! I'm afraid I'm going to have to check these out :) Lindsay, you never brag! You're all about the information and we love it!
What a beautiful, unique pallette! That was a nice gift. The colors are really pretty and I liked your explanation of the granulation. It will be nice to see how you use them. Thanks for sharing this.
Well you won't have long to wait! I filmed 3 landscapes today with them and I hope to post the video tomorrow! I really like them and they work great with my other watercolors!
Such lovely watercolors! I would never buy anything like this for myself, I know I would not use it, I'd always worry about running out or making it look less pretty. But it's such a nice gift and the colors are gorgeous. I LOVE the granite! Oh and PY40 is cobalt yellow I think.
It is when you use the lovely stuff and get to know it that it makes a lovely difference. It is very pleasant to try lovely stuff. I encourage you to try some lovely stuff.
Oh my goodness these are beautiful watercolours. I love the colours and how they shift, granulate and even separate. Thank you so much for sharing, Lindsay.
Bless you Lyndsey , I am a bit late , but thoroughly enjoyed learning listening and very grateful for the kind gift you received sharing hand made watercolors in a Georgous portable customized wooden box * Thanks to Rosie for spoiling you and leading this wonderful creator and her husband to your mailbox with such a wonderful handmade gift idea :)
I was on the fence about granulated watercolors but after seeing these, I will have to add some to my stash. I was particularly impressed by the dark gray dot with pink undertones. Great for flower petals.
Masha's Watercolors are wonderful! I've bought handmade watercolors from a number of different etsy sellers and they're all great but I think her paints are my favorite. It helps that she's generous with sample dots, too. Just a great person to buy from.
That was really fun to watch, and there's no way anyone could say you were "bragging"! 😁 I'm really looking forward to seeing you do a painting with those beautiful colors.
I have a few Iuile handmade watercolor pans and dots. Love them and will definitely be checking Masha’s shop out. Loved this video and agree that wooden box is so cute and creative.
You amaze me … you have talked about the large collection of paints you have many times. Yet you rattle off the pigments and compare them all like you’re a chemist! What a memory you have !
I can't wait to see what you create with these. I happen to love the look and magic of granulating watercolors, have several, and admittedly haven't played with them yet. Please share, I really learn a lot from you Lindsay. Congrats on gift!
Gorgeous! I love your swatching videos. I enjoy seeing the colors move on the paper. Lucky you! I'm glad these brought you out of your weather-caused funk. 😉
After this comment I am going to check out her Etsy shop...those colors are amazing especially that blue second row second paint in...love it...I look forward to seeing you create with a painting with it...never feel bad about sharing a gift it opens viewers up to what is out there and made by hand...HUGS from Nova Scotia where we can tell the days are getting longer
I just ordered some paints from this seller! I'm still waiting for them, but I'm SUPER excited!! 😁 I REALLY want to get one of her boxes as well at some point. The purple heart wood looks amazing!
@@thefrugalcrafter I received my first order a couple days ago and I LOVE them! My second order is waiting at the post office, I'll be picking it up tomorrow! I've been talking to Masha and I'll be ordering my palette in the purple heart wood soon! 😁
Thanks for the review Lindsay. These look beautiful and interesting in their granulation. Hope they are able to restock as they are sold out of this pallet and the sample pallet. ✨💞🤗💞✨
Thank you so much for sharing this with us!! We often analyze cost but the point is, its a joy to see beautiful, innovative products like this . It provides inspiration & fun)! 😊
Those are beautiful! I really like the pallet! I have my eye on some other handmades that do color shifting and my oh my are they lush! Although the water puck is pricey to me, I really like how quickly it’s cleaning your brush! That dang want monster gets me every time! TFS!
Hullo Lindsay, I have avoided handmade paints for about 20 years. I did make my own watercolors before that and I had problems with lightfastness. I did break down and use some from AGallo Paints from Italy. I was asked to do an evaluation for a friend, she was going to buy supplies for a weekend retreat and wanted to purchase several palettes of paint for her ”campers” I mention only these as they were the very best that I have ever tried, from a handmade creator! I enjoyed watching you play with these exceptional paints. The palette is truly lovely! The clacking of the magnets was so FUN!
I literally came across these paints randomly for the first time last night completely by random chance so its crazy they popped up on your channel just now
You deserve this wonderful gift! I really enjoyed the swatching, thanks for sharing. Maybe one day I will be able to own a gorgeous set like this. Until then, I will just continue watching the happiness from others as they inbox/swatch. 💜
I’m so glad you do these reviews! I’d rather support small business any day over big box. If I know of good small businesses with quality products, I’ll always think of them first when shopping.
Love all this handmade goodness! Those paints look gorgeous. Granite reminds me of DS Moonglow or DV Artemis, maybe? Trying so hard not to want to buy all the things.....
These look amazing, and I love her craft palettes. And apart from the peach, the samples look pretty much the same as the label. But I suck at watercolors still, so I'm more for solid middle-class supplies for myself. But buying two or three of the half-pans - well, that seems possible ...
Buckeye! I'm going to visit my mother and cousins in Phoenix & Chandler next month. I wonder if Masha's paints are available in any local shops out there...
I am across the state in Safford Arizona where we have all four seasons. We are currently in winter. Mount Graham is snow capped. In the valley we get below freezing (sometimes into teens or twenties) overnight. We warm into the 50s or 60s during the afternoon. We are arid most of the year but humid in late summer during monsoon season.
Holy moly. That is definitely the fanciest watercolors. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous on its own, but the paints are holy moly. I love buying watercolors from Etsy stores just to try them out. There are some really cute, unique ones out there, but I have to say this is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. Wow. I’m drooling. *goes to Etsy store because I have no self control* 😂

Oooh so pretty! I never knew granulation was a name I love the effect. Always try to make it but I guess you can’t do it with basic watercolor found at Ross or the like , oh and crayola markers
You need at least one granulating pigment in the mix. Do you have an ultramarine blue or mars black? You can mix a bit of yhat in colors to get granulation and those pigments aren't too pricey and ofyen come in standard sets. Try mixing what you have. Saltwater helps too!
Anyone else just love it when Lindsay talks color to us? 😉😜😂
😂😂😂Yes!!! I’m fascinated every time. She’s the best.
