I would love to see these in action in a painting. I would (maybe incorrectly) assume that it would be too much to do 1 per day like you did a year or 2 ago, but I wonder what it would look like if you chose a subset or palette by the season to show how you mix them in action. I always get inspired by your color palette. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thanks Irit. I always try to put together your color palettes. I was able to do this one with the colors I have in my stash. Your videos encourage me to use what I have. Your crocheting endeavors reminded me that i have a cricket loom and so you are indirectly responsible for the renewal of my weaving. Only thing I need is more time!! Happy holidays.
I love love love your book and all the color swatches that you included. I find myself going back to it over and over. It makes a great gift as my sister will know shortly. I also got her a DS dot card. This last summer, on her birthday, I gave her a DS pallet that I had put together of my favorite colors. All of your favorites were in there except the Hematite Violet as I do not have that one. I am in the US so DS is much more affordable for me than others, in fact they are made here on the west coast. Have yourself a wonderful holidays. I wish the best for you and yours in this coming year.
Very interesting changes you made! I love the addition of Cascade Green (I keep meaning to try that one...) and the Olive Green. And it's so interesting to see the different versions of Naples Yellow, they are all so different, even though they are meant to be skin tone bases. Not too many companies make a pastel apricot like that!
Glad you enjoyed! I actually think Lukas Naples yellow reddish is different than other companies and is the least 'apricoty'... It's more of an earthy yellow orange, I would name it golden yellow ochre 😀
Hi Iritt, I see that me and you always prefer the same kinds of colors. I love to watch your art halls for that reason! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas holiday and a very happy new year!! Hope you receive art supplies for Christmas!!👋☃️🎨✍😃👍🌲🙏🥳😉😄🌹
Thank you for showing your new palette setup 💕 I really like the amount of yellows & pinks and cobalt teal, from these you can mix almost every other color. It would be great if starter packs would focus more on those 3. It is very interesting to see other palettes and how they reflect the artists style. Many palettes I’ve seen so far include a lot of browns/earthy colors which seems strange to me because I never painted landscapes. Also I have some trouble with granulating colors.
You are so welcome! Yes, watercolor is a very classic medium and most artists I've seen use a traditional palette which usually includes traditional earth tones. After many years of including some in my palette I realised I didn't want or need them, so bye bye and hello pretty yellows, pinks and teals!
Always love the way you mix it up with brands and get a completely different palette because that’s what you do. I will be back to check the name of that fluorescent pink, I have a palette that needs it. Have a good holiday, here’s wishing you a good year in 2023.
Irit I have a crochet question for u have you ever crocheted out of Birds Butterflies & Little Beasts to Knit & Crochet by Lesley Stanfield..???..so cute but stuck on a sardine pattern have a 2 mo old cutie pie kitten I want to make this for.
Hi! No I haven't, sorry! I'm not into crocheting tiny stuff, I feel with the amounts of yarn I have, every project I take on needs to be a yarn eater😂 lucky you for having a kitten!!
Great color choices, with lots of familiar colors for those who follow your channel, like me. Just FYI, Bloodstone is missing from your list of watercolors in your video description. Anyway, cheers and happy painting!
If u love bright rose by holbein ty Try the bright the bright violet. You will be just in love or more and there's not another brand that makes one anything like it. It will have the word luminous just like the bright rose does. I can't decide which I prefer but the violet has a slight edge just because it's a brand specific color.
I didn’t get the name on the very last color? Please?? Thanks for this video, I too adore my pinks & Holbein’s Brilliant pink is my complete FAV since you share it!! Thanks so much!!❤❤❤
These colors are so gorgeous. I also have the Nickel Azo Yellow by Daniel Smith and love it for mixing but I didn't know they have that pushing effect.
I love these “favorites” videos! You always open my eyes to view colors I already own (but don’t use) in a new light! ❤❤❤ Do you offer your Quiller Wheel Palette swatch template for sale? I’d love to use it for mine, mine is a bit janky! 🥴 Thanks!
Hey Ashley! Glad you enjoyed! It's currently not on sale in my shop but it is a benefit for patrons together with a couple more, that's currently the only option but I'll update if that changes!
Wish more companies let you pick your color pans w Tin... think Jackson's did that sometime this year and I wish I would have tried some of there pretty colors ...I love that you give the mixture for lavendar. I love mixing colors I mostly have Mission Golds with a few Daniel Smiths and White Nights....would love to try those French pots of mat acrylic you showed recently. I'm tying to take the leap from watercolors to more mixed media thx for all the inspiration!!!! Have a beautiful 🎄 season....I think we need a fieldtrip of how your city decorates for the season I bet it is spectacular but freezing 🥶 there!! Stay cozy and warm and be blessed!!!☆
I did, I mean it's not full but has my go-to paints. I just haven't been painting with watercolors much recently so can't say I used it a lot. I would try and mix colors to see if they neutralize each other and then place them opposite one another on the palette. I actually don't have many that do that so I just tried to place them in a color wheel.
That Frida Kahlo sketch book ? Swatch book ? I want it now in my life !! My Obsession with FK is real❤️❤️❤️ been to your online shop just wasn’t sure which set had the Frida book
The Frida book is a Little Golden book that you can order from Amazon😀 the printables in my shop are sized to fit these books, I love turning them into sketchbooks😀
@@iritlandgraf thank you :) was trying to decide if it was worth it to try the daniel smith one cause it may be different or special compared to the qor :)
❤omg everytime I am watching this kind of videos that you have, I hid my wallet. Hahaha 😛 good thing I have almost have all the watercolors you have since I have based it on your last year’s video and I bought it all😂
Danke Carolina! Shipping from Jackson's varies, but I have never paid that much... Since Brexit I do buy less there and more at Gerstaecker or Peter's Art in Berlin. Between those two stores I usually find almost everything I need and shipping is much lower. Hope that helps!
you don't like Vermillion, orange/coral or tomato red 😏....just use a pinky red with some naples yellow or quin gold...and poof...you are good to go! ...and no burnt sienna or burnt umber...no paynes gray or indigo....you just throw some ultramarine into the bloodstone or hemetite violet and poof...there is your dark...nice colours...you choose....but would like to add a few more to my palette...especially titanium white, a pyrrole red...yellow leaning warm red, a green gold, a manganese violet, a PV 55 and...a blue that is yellow leaning...cool blue ,and a lemon yellow..{ yellow leaning to blue}...cool yellow...easily 30 colours...yikes...need to use your RED perfect palette for this set up for sure😜
Thanks for the video! Love it ❤🩹 A note on Lukas Turquoise: it unfortunately isn't any longer made of PG50 but PB28 (since the "German" Brand is produced in UK by Dawler Rowney)
Yup I know, is it recent? I have older tubes that also say PB28. All other cobalt teals I know are PG50 so I didn't want to confuse, that's why I mentioned the Lukas one by name and the rest by pigment. Is it produced in the UK? Interesting! Yup, just looked at my tubes and there it is! Made in England. Funny!

Glad you enjoyed stacy😀❤️ I hope to make more painting videos next year😀
Such lovely colors! All my faves too. Happy Holidays and Happy New Years! 💙🎨

Those are some awesome watercolors. I gotta agree with another, those in a painting together would be sublime
I think so too!

Fair enough!

Good call!
Yes such a beautiful group of colours there. I'd definitely love to see your pencil favourites too. Merry Christmas Irit!

Haha, yes, very beautifully decordated but cold and crowded, two things I don't like very much ;)
Did you finish filling your large Stephen Quiller palette? I’d love to see an update, I recently got a dupe one and am struggling with how to fill it.
I did, I mean it's not full but has my go-to paints. I just haven't been painting with watercolors much recently so can't say I used it a lot. by chance do you have the nickel azo yellow in qor as well? how do they compare in your opinion?
Sorry no but my experience from other brands is that they are all very similar
@@iritlandgraf thank you :) was trying to decide if it was worth it to try the daniel smith one cause it may be different or special compared to the qor :)
lovely!! 😊❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Lol!! Yes, I am happy to say they are all old friends😁
ewer thought about selling this set up palette?
What do you mean sell it? Like my actual palette? I think it would be cheaper the paints and set it up alone...
yeah the actual palette, yeah prob cheaper to set up yourself, people are often lazy and wont someone to do it for them 😝
It's a great idea, I'll definitely think about it!
