Welcome to the channel Jerry. Bet Bernie was one heck of a guy. LOL Don't always know what I'm doing but sure have a lot of fun. Hope you stick around.
Oh boy, I have no experience with the model you have, this washer must have some relation to the clutch adjuster, is this right. Let me know what you are doing, I will pull up the parts breakdown and see what it looks like.
Hi you know everything about Yamaha s so here is a question for you, Will 1978 Yamaha It175 piston and cylinder fit on a 1978 Yamaha DT175 . And will a 1978 Yamaha DT125 gears fit in a IT175 ??? I have looked for a long time on internet maybe you know I have a few projects going like your show Thanks
Oh, wow John, I wish I had an answer for you, my experience really stops at 1973. I do have a 1979 IT175 that will come into the shop soon for a freshen up. But it will be my first time to work on one.

What does the cable mechanism connect to when the cover is out back on?
It lines up with the push rod that goes all the way across the engine to the clutch.
Good job brother. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Cain
There is a washer on the diagrams I'm looking at for a 78 GT80, does that go inside or outside the cover?
