I have visited the carousel countless times, and it truly is as magical as this piece makes it out to be. Every time I go, I see some little detail I have never seen before. And now I will look for the koala next time I am there, to capture a little more of the love the carousel has.
I randomnly stumbled across the carousel in winter 2019 when I pulled over at the shopping center next to it on a whim while driving home to Boulder and was looking for a restroom and we saw the lights on. It was truly an amazing experience and it is even more beautiful in person.
The inventor of the Carousel went to school with the inventor of the Ferris Wheel, but they didn't know each other. They traveled in different circles.
I mean if you knew how many of us military and law enforcement people are in the furry fandom.... you'd see that sometimes you get the best joy in your own life by spreading it to others.... making someone smile creates a ray of joy that covers everyone in that moment.
