Quick tip with standees bases, if you clip a clothes peg on them, and drop them in boiling water, it will reduce the width of the gap, so they hold thinner card stock.
Such a cool version! Always felt like redesigning the contents in a b&w inked old school theme with smaller footprint for everything. Your video puts things in perspective!
My travel version is 5mm scale. You need a pair of tweezers to play and the tiles hardly stay together. I may upsize from there to 15 or 10mm and include actual miniatures. Everything is conducted with 5mm disks cut out of gift cards and old credit cards with a hole punch and hand painted. Larger monsters are manually cut to size of 10mm.
Excellent, thanks for sharing. I like the use of the laminated character cards, perhaps you could create a simplified character sheet to put on the back of each card, as it won't take up any more space and may be easier to track HP's, Gold, etc rather than on the card front.
The standees and the bases seem oversized for the 15mm grid tiles. How about converting them to counters/tokens instead (which will make the set even more compact)? It's a neat idea to write directly on the character cards. I recommend using matt laminating pouches instead of the common glossy ones. The surface feels more paper like. Ink get smudged less easily. You can even use erasable pens and eraser.
Yes! Tokens will work brilliant and more uniformed! I use tokens on my original WHQ all the time. For this build, I want to try and see if I can still fit base and standee in the tiny box. And yes, the 20mm base are a bit big for the 15mm squares but they are also the cheapest and most common around. And good tip on the Matt laminate sheet. Definitely will check that out!
Wow that's awesome. These would sell truckloads if they were sold pre-made.
Oh man this is great. I’m actually going to use 15mm minis!
This is a great idea. Thank you for sharing this travel version with us!
This is really cool. I've never played warhammer quest, but I dig this self made DIY version.
Nice to see you back Mel.

You, sir, are a genius. Thankyou so much for this comment!

That is a great idea! I will take a look to see if that is possible!
Well done Mel!!

You should sell these. I'd buy a copy for sure.
Love it!
Doors by Nick Thornton don’t exist in the DD files section. Just checked.
You are right. It’s actually in one of his comment. I will add the Google drive link directly

Where are the pdfs at little monks site? I can‘t find them…🤷🏼♂️
Can you do something like this for HeroQuest?
So cool but that room is claustrophobic
Yea. It’s a bit cramped but WHQ has always been like that :)
