Thank You for this video. I first started playing EQ in October 1999 (how fast 23 yrs go :) I felt some nostalgia just now as your vid popped in my feed, if it's OK for me to share here.
I was on/off EQ Live till 2011. So many fond memories. EQ was my first intro to MMO , shocked to see the different avatars running around, realizing my gosh, those are "real people" moving those characters around.
I quickly became hooked on "Everquack". Joining a guild, in game weddings, in game fights lol, and not realizing how fast 15 real hours goes by when enthralled.
Life itself kept me from returning. I was considering P2002 years back. Live was just too far ahead. I kept reading P99 was toxic. But what is called toxic by some, really means P99 is the "real deal" for experiencing the original days.
Your video put me into a great mood, Life has been kicking my b*tt lately.
Seeing now that P99 is still going strong, I am now looking forward to giving it a try after holidays.

I played original EQ. Best game ever . I kinda feel bad for newer players. Imagine playing packed servers . I never soloed . Now most vids I see are solos. There was no wow so a lot of the best was on here
i played back in the day too and def grouped more back then i think you are mostly right. you could still find groups but its def harder now
idk who else makes eq videos but i've seen nathan, ayonic, zaide all post videos where they die. zaide's whole thing is playing a character until it dies

Hey bro just a tip. If you sit between every cani you can hit the meditation tick. Nice way to get mana back faster.
i think thats what i do! i have a macro that does it automatically
