This is a great look on you! It would be cool to see Coco Chanel! She was a huge influence to women during the 1920's and 30's. I think I heard somewhere that she also started the trend of tanned skin!
this is off topic, but I live in NY, USA (not NYC) and a primark just opened in Boston about 3 days ago!!!!!! I'm so excited I guess I have to go to Boston now
I remember this old show on AMC called Hollywood Fashion Machine, that said her eyebrows were drawn in one hair at a time with pencils that were kept in a freezer to ensure they stayed as sharp and hard as possible. There were, I think they said, about half a dozen black and brown ones ready to go because one had to be put aside as soon as it started drawing more than a fine line.
That was so amazing. Your makeup is gorgeous! You did a great job considering your face shape is SO much different than Elizabeth Taylor's. I love Elizabeth's eyebrows and you did fantastic with imitating them. I think I got a good idea from your explanation. I think I might try that look for myself. Other beauty beacons, Madame de Pompadour, Lauren Bacall or Audrey Hepburn, possibly?
This is so beautiful, the brows are perfect and really suit you :) for some reason whenever I think of a beauty beacon I think of Anne Boleyn even though she wasn't supposed to be that beautiful, but she was pretty intelligent (minus marrying the king who then had her head removed but hey, everyone has flaws lol)!
O wow this look really suits you! And also the hair! If you ever decide to cut it (not that I'm tryin to push you or anything ;)) this would be such a gourgeous lenght for you! :) You have a very mature, relaxed vibe about you in this video, I like it! :) And also, I LOVE this new series! ^^
Diane de Poitiers, Madam de Pompadour, Marie Deplessis, Cora Pearl, Virginia Oldoini, Tulia d'Aragona, Imperia Cognati, Umrao Jaan, La Paiva, Thais, Aspasia, Phryne, Theodora, Agnes Sorel, Jane Shore, Veronica Franco, Marie Touchet, Madam Barry, Marion Delorme, Ninon de l'Enclos, Barbara Palmer, Madam de Montespan, Louise de la Valliere, Nell Gwyn. The woman described in the Song of Songs.
That is a myth. :) Alexandria disease was made up by someone for the book they were writing, and then it got spread around on the internet. No one actually has violet eyes, but very deep blue eyes can look violet in certain lighting. :)
Wow! Great work, Lucy! You look gorgeous as Elizabeth Taylor. My ideas for beaty beacons are: Emma Watson Lady Diana Nerfertiti Marylin Monroe Audrey Hepburn :)
interesting tid bit.... elizabeth taylor was not english. she was born in the small town of arkansas city, ks (an hour s.e. of wichita). she still had family here/there (that's where i live) when she died.
My sister has the same mutation that Liz Taylor had, so she she also has has loads and loads of lashes. It's pretty insane, especially on an eleven year old.
