- Check out www.mylurebox.com.au for all my latest lures and gear!
The gear i used today:
Shimano Curado 200 with 20lb PowerPro Slick 8 Braid and 20lb leader.
The Rod I use for skip casting is a 3-6kg Shimano Bass Raider 510.
The lure is a Tiemco Sumari 90D - If you can find em, tell me where?? they're becoming too rare...
Awesome Johnny. Anglers Warehouse for Tiemco Sumari mate.
Thanks John. So good to see you pull another beautiful Jack out of the water again . Nice video.
John this was great day out on the boat watching you enjoying yourself chasing Jack and Bass
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you kindly for sharing each of your outings outside.
To wish you your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year of 2023 from John Dickson.
Nice! I’ve been doing a lot of Jack fishing at my local creek in Hervey Bay and having lots of luck on the live target fleeing shrimps and the chasebaits paddle bait. Keep it up! Cheers, Christian
Very nice video John. I can never resist the alert I get when you post a new video. Thanks again for all you contribute to the fishing fraternity. You're simply a legend. Merry Christmas to you and your family mate. Al the very best.
Jeff

Top stuff John. Nothing beats the tranquil quiet creeks hey. Its a slow burn build up waiting for those hits
Usually catch these first thing but ive been trying to put the ph down a lil more lately. Mate very good video , really getting in to detail on the way you fish .👌
Hi mate, recently come across your channel on chasing big flathead on glides and big plastics, just ordered some through you store looking forward to receiving them,
That’s awesome Wayne ;) Thanks for checking my videos out. I can’t wait to hear how you get on with the Soft Glides
Great footage as always mate, merry Christmas and a happy new year from Cooktown!
Great video John, thanks for all the great tips this year, amazing work champion, have a great Christmas to you and the family, loving my brag mat and soft glides, 😀🎣🎣🎣
Great video John. I've learned a lot through your expertise! You are right about those Tiemco Sumari's being rare, well in that 173 colour scheme anyway. After a year of looking I've finally found some in the 173 scheme, 1 as a 90 MD; and 4 as the 90D of which these 4 I'm still awaiting delivery on from Japan. Msg me if ur still after one. Merry Christmas mate, Toney
You always deliver John, nice to see a Mangrove Jack coming in to the boat. Thanks for the prompt delivery of the lures, Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to you & your family mate... have a good one. 🎄👍🎣
Hi John, love your work, can you tell me the brand or where you get your lightweight long pants?
Love your Jack stuff mate.
Awesome video mate, what rod were you using for the hardbody’s
Great to see you back chasing the reds again John. Hope you have a happy New year. Look forward to catching up again in 2023. Just wondering what depth is the water in the back of those systems
Cheers mate ;) Happy new year!
It’s generally 1.8m+ in the middle of the skinny stuff. Once it gets less than 1.5 or so I find em hard to target with the boat. I reckon I spook em a bit in the shallows like that.
Awesome vid Johnny what's your theory on importance of a high tide for Jacks? Or is super early in the morning more important. Haven't had much luck when the tide is high in the middle of the day. Cheers mate keep up the good work.👍
Hey I don’t know if you remember but I saw you at telly boat ramp my name is Kymani and I had a brother and sister! I hope you had good luck
,Kymani
Hey john are there any creeks around the gold coast area that i would be able to kayak fish for jacks
Hey mate, been doing a bit of nipper pumping of late and trying to bag a few legal Whiting, off some local sand flats, my pump is a large metal one and I tried cleaning it after session, pumping in freshwater from a big bucket, got alot of sand and mud all over me and failed to successfully clean the thing fully. Do you have any tips to clean one of these bait pumps?
Its this Australia? Is it fresh water or brackish water? On the Mangrove Jack Can't find anything about him.
Like ur singlehand rod. Nice video keep it bro 👍
Would a 3-5kg bait caster be suitable for this kind of fishing?
Yew his is a 3-6kg
Do you use a fluorocarbon leader and what brand and braking test thanks 👍
Yes 20lb fc rock fluorocarbon leader is what he uses
you can get water out if you blow it with hari dryer

Anglerswarehouse is where I get mine
Hi I’m wondering if you can help me pick a bait caster I want it for jacks and have $300 budget
I'm getting a taigek baitcaster from amazon bc I recently lost my and I'm pairing it with a shimano bass raider which adds up to $220
Nicee
