Great video John.. I reckon it’d be sick with the podcast to run through all the lures they have in there every day tackle box’s and stuff like that
So that's why we haven't seen a jack video for a while. Can't wait.
100% podcast! You are a gun fisho!
❤ good luck
beautiful fishing spot mate
Yew good stuff mate. 🤙🤙
Ps with that second bit of plastic leave 6mm over hang to center of tail . So now put a standard jig head in lure now cut hook off run 10 pound braid through lure right out through tail to center add assist hooks pull up hard to plastic back of tail red skirt on assists is a good colour tie off in front of lock 12 half hitches. The no miss system brilliant fold on that type of plastic.
This is pointless. As shown by John's video, no need for all that faf...
Great review and tutorial from the ‘Flatty Master’ there, thanks mate. As a bit of Missing at Sea fan, I picked up a full set of the Deathbaits range on release day. Haven’t had too much opportunity to get out and play with them though. You’ve got me keen know .. off to Your Lure Box to pick up a couple of files first as incentive gifts for a couple of mates who never touch up their hooks and wonder why the don’t get hook sets! Love the Podcast idea too mate.
As always John your information is gold. Your students are lucky to have you. I have been following the videos for a couple of years. I would love a podcast and if you get time maybe a video on snapper in the northern Bay would be a great topic. Thanks again for your time. THOMO.
I wonder if the stretch in the deathbait, means they bite the tail and it stretches when you strike?
The stretchy plastics are good though. Like the rapala imposters
Enjoy. Ps any paddle tail can be used.
Hey John, great video as always, just wondering where you got the deathbaits from.
Amazing
Mate.. I need to know more about this Jack lure!!! Hard body or soft plastic?
was wondering wen the jack softy was coming. looking forward to the jack action with the softy mate. mylurebox podcast wud be gud listening n relevant for the river systems beaches n even out on the local grounds.
would love a podcast
Cheers for the vid john , a podcast would be great on the channel cheers
Is your new jack lure soft plastic or hard body mate ??
When’s the video of Jai smashing that $1.25 slab of jew on the flats Johnny, been waiting to see it since jai posted it on Facebook.
What type of knot do you do to attach the bite leader
Great video champion, what knot do you use to attach your bite tippit to your leader,
Would be line - leader - lure.
Not many bother with a tippet for this kind of fishing.
Well id say that since "4 pound braid, 6 pound flouro leader n 12 pd bite leader" is mentioned at 14:40 it is a highly relevant question.
He also mention heavier bite leader at the 19minute mark (to save you retying alot if the bite is really on)
@@w0lfm4n43 Well there you go, I stand corrected.
Go to knot for fluoro to fluoro/mono would be double uni I would think, as you're unlikely to be casting that last bit through the runners.
Come fish at Broadwater. I want to see you
podcast ❤🎉😊
Shimano Zodias 270M.
I get its 2 piece 7 foot medium...
But what is line weight/ lure cast weight please n ty.
I have a maikuro II 702sp 2-4kg 3-8gr (might change 8pd to 4pd braid though)
Are they equivalent?
Specs i mean, zodias should be better rod, costing 100 more lol
Fish secret. Get a A4note book one with frog green plastic cover mark out TAIL glue on back of tail now not super glue but a 2 part resin do the first one that covers hole TAIL once dry find center of tail off center draw a line now come 2.5mm either side of center line now mark another tail out cut that shape out of it add to tail watch what happens when ya go out for a fish 🐠 lol.😂😂😂.
What's that mean in English?
@@ebisu8824 in other words is better fold on lure when fish 🐠 strikes lure gives a wild action to lure now ya can use any hook and place ie anywhere in lure small stainless hooks are better better hook up is now at 200%. Hope that helps.
Ps if you have assist in tail plastic saves tail from tearing as well ya get the best of both worlds.
@@ebisu8824 note as well when plastic is fitted to tail one can coat with a chrome paint for more bling now ya have a lure built into a lure chrome bearing can also be used as well.
Cool story bro...
what is the zodias rod 4-8ib?
can you tell me why you use a stop watch?
The thing around his neck is a remote to control his motor.
I reckon if you used a smaller lure your would have hooked more!....lots of small fish there....can't beat hards and trebles for their hook rates.
Sometimes with those jig head a bit of paint or clear coat goes on the hook point and it doesn't pin fish
The snag rate would have gone up just as much though. It's a toss up.
