"This has been Patric Casey with Planet Destiny. Your guide, to the Destiny universe." I laughed the first time I heard you say that, way back in 2014. You have no idea how much I came to depend on hearing those words said by you as time went on. Thanks for everything... 👍
Thank you Patrick for some good laughs, and great, informative, well done videos for PD. Can't wait to see what the future holds on your personal channel! I sure will be watching!
The original PD crew will be held together at a different place with a different name. Don't worry, they are simply migrating away to leave space for smaller youtubers to get some time in the spotlight. PD is known for being a helpful platform for smaller channels.
Spartan0417 I completely agree. I remember when I first started getting into Destiny; it was Patrick and his videos that helped me move forward and understand the game a lot better. I do wish him luck with his own endeavours but Planet Destiny sure isn't going to be the same without him. On the bright side, at least they still have Tefty Teft and Story.
Thank you very much for your contributions over the last two years. Your videos in particular were my favorites on PD. Your reviews were informative and entertaining. You had an ability unique among your peers (in my opinion) to present information in a rational manner without getting caught up too much in 'fan speak', while still being interesting and engaging. You also presented a much more balanced view point (again imho), addressing both PvE and PvP issues. Thank you for the work you've done, I look forward to seeing more of your content in the future.
I'll always remember and love the work from Planet Destiny's Original Crew. Good job guys, this 3 years were a incredible journey with you all guiding us.
Pat, you've been a huge help in growing not only my abilities, but also my understanding of the intricacies of what has become my favorite pass time. Thank you and all the best
thank you, Patrick for all the vids. The first thing I do when I get home is open YT and check what you and the others have uploaded. I will continue watching your vids on your channel
Thanks Patrick. Your reviews have been something I've watched since I played Destiny, I for one will miss them and of course the PD podcast. Best of luck in whatever comes next.
Your weapon reviews were the highlights of my days. I'm going to miss you and your reviews so much. You've helped make this community so awesome and nice! Thanks for being our guide to the destiny universe.
Pat you've been my guide since October of 2014 it's sad to see you leave most of the PD community will miss you, you've lead us into vanilla, into the dark below, into the house, into ttk, and you lead us into ROI. You've been with most of us ever since we started playing destiny. Thank you for the countless hours you spent making content for us we all appreciate it. We all will miss you Patrick.
going to miss you Patrick. your voice made these easy to listen to and understand. I hope story machine takes over reviews. he's the only one left that keeps me subbed to PD
Really pumped for to see where creative freedom takes you, Holtz! The nostalgia his extra hard at the end of this video, but I rewatched all your crispy throwing knife kills peppered throughout and my dewy eyes were dried by the fires of said crispiness! Good luck!
Idea for a future improvement to the Khvostov's effectiveness: Reports of small but very loud explosions at night in the Cosmodrome spark Shiro's interest, and he sends the guardian to investigate (possibly, the Splicers found crates of these components and mistook them for antique grenades or something). Quest structure may vary, but basically the Guardian finds an unidentified weapon component somewhere in the Cosmodrome. Before Ghost can analyze it, it explodes with a deafening sound. Eventually the Guardian finds one that is relatively stable and Ghost identifies it as an unstable T.I.C. (Thermal Infusion Component), an experimental component that was created by the same Russian manufacturer who made the Kvhostov rifle. A database or something says that the parts were never put into mass production due to their stability issues. The Guardian then takes the part back to Shiro, who then tells him/her to take the T.I.C to the Gunsmith at the Tower so he can hopefully improve it and fit it into the Guardian's Kvhostov 7G-0X. The Gunsmith eventually completes this task and the Guardian receives a brand new perk on his/her Kvhostov called T.I.C. This perk grants Solar damage and a slight boost to Impact, with a slight loss to Stability. Tell me what you guys think
My last chance for a hello from you in a review D:, thank you for such amazing reviews man, you got me back into Destiny after I left for so long. best of lucks!
Thanks for all the reviews, podcasts, and all other forms of content you gave to the community. You'll be missed on PD, but I'm sure you'll find much success on your personally channel.
Thanks for the vid, I never considered doing this quest but finally did after coming across your vid. Putting it on 900 rpm mode is amazing in Crucible, it just melts peeps. First game with it I went 27-8 and consistently get 1.5-2.0 k/d with the occasional 3-4. I don't like it in PvE as much but it's become my go-to weapon for PvP.
Thanks, Patrick, for the past couple of years of great content. Looking forward to seeing what you and the rest of the crew have got in store and best wishes to PD for the future. I'm certainly remaining a loyal subscriber!
Sniffle... I still remember watching Patrick's first weapon review for PD, the Plan C. If only I had know what a staple of the Destiny community he would become. Whenever I wanted to know if I should buy a gun from Xûr, he was always there to guide me. I can even remember learning to use throwing knives after seeing some badass plays by Patrick. Now, throwing knives are a large part of my load out. His crazy theories and tinfoil hats were what made the podcast great. Your hard work always was, and always will be, what made Planet Destiny great. When I think of Destiny, you are the first player to come to mind. You are who I will always think of as a "classic Destiny player". No one will replace Patrick as my favorite Destiny player. Thank you Patrick, for being my guide to the Destiny universe.
Jeesh. Nostalgia hit me at the end of the vid. Been watching the channel since early year one, will miss you on PD, but will def check out your new channel.
thank u patrick casey! the first video i watched from Pd has been ft you. and ive loved ur calm, honest reviews ever since. best of luck w ur future projects mate
I rate Patrick Casey as a must have exotic. Thank you for amazing contribution to this wonderful game and its wonderful community. I hope you enjoy yourself wherever it may take you next. Be brave.
I think the Braced Frame without Counter Balance, and Braced Frame with Counterbalance shots are backwards, because the one that says it has counterbalance has a lot of kick to the left (3:01 to check for yourself)
After I left Destiny (PS3) when Rise of Iron came out, I unsubscribed from all the Destiny related channels I was subscribed to. All except Planet Destiny. I still wanted to see Patrick Casey's and TeftyTeft's videos and especially reviews, since I enjoy their style a lot and they help me learn how to do video game weapon reviews for when I finish my new PC (there's a huge lack of this type of content in Spanish). Sorry, but now that they are gone, there's no reason for me to be subscribed to Planet Destiny anymore. I will come back in a few years, hopefully, when they make a decent generation of consoles or Bungie decides to port Destiny to PC. Thank you for the awesome site you have, guys.
At 2:07, are the pictures mislabeled? I doesn't make sense that hammer forged should have more stability in 450 RPM (at least in terms of looking at it) than Braced Frame. Maybe that's just because Bungo messed it up. The 900 RPM mode appears to be correctly labeled. However, at 2:43, the left side is clearly the side WITH counterbalance since there is virtually no visible side-to-side recoil. It's labeled as the side without. I could make another comment about Patrick leaving PD, but if you follow his personal twitter, you'd have learned about this a while ago. Nonetheless, thank you Patrick for taking us through Destiny for so long. It's been one hell of a ride, and we'll certainly miss you here. Hopefully we'll see everybody migrate over to your personal channel to stay in the loop!
An interesting exotic perk for khvostov that you would sacrifice your super ( and maybe grenade and melee) to increase all stats on the gun, except fire rates, but the perks will be randomized when this happens to not make it too strong, so like 450 rpm would have same fire rate but even more boosted range and damage, and so on
I have my khvostov set at 900 RPM with a 78 round magazine, and I've found it to be great in PvE for me, paired with the Claws of Ahamkara with an auto rifle reload perk, it melts stronger enemies and shielded enemies. I also have many perks helping out my grenade and melee recharge, so reloading is never a worry. He's right about the review, but if you have the right perks, it's a great gun that if wielded properly, can take out a splicer dreg in 7 bullets.
Honestly, I love this gun. I use Semi Auto and Full Auto most of the time, and Burst Fire is ok, too. I am very happy that I got this gun day 1. To me, this gun is well worth the exotic slot. Why carry 6 guns when you can just modify 1?
Thom Beacock I beat this weapon with literally every primary I have. It's only viable as automatic mode. Burst and single fire aren't worth it. It's slow firing pulse damage is out done by hawksaw and it's faster pulse loses terribly to a grasp of Malok. It's single fire mode loses to all scouts. This gun is good as a automatic suit rifle. Oh well at least it's a cool exotic on paper but will never be used for serious competitive play.
Patrick I've been with you since before taken king thank you for all of your videos you were the only person whose opinion I really valued on exotic and legendary weapons I'm so sad to see you go thank you for everything .thank you for being my guide to the destiny universe.thank you
Damn. I'll fucking miss Pat... I've watched his reviews and stuff since the first week of Destiny. I guess the only thing I can say is that it's been a really good ride, you'll have my undying support forever, and we will all miss you. Good luck with all your future projects... 😢 Please don't leave...
i cant believe he is leaving. i watched holtzman since his pocket infinity review. i saw it recently the other day, and i was blown away at how much he improved. LIKE if you'll miss holtzman
That send off was heart wrenching. Thanks for the amazing videos, the past three years have been made so much better by what you've done.
i cri everi tiem
To think, all this started because some guy wanted to talk about how terrible Bad Juju is. We'll miss you, Patrick.
***** Almost the entire PlanetDestiny crew is leaving.
TheNerdFormer why? What happened?
Wtf are you even talking about, they are leaving the spotlight for the smaller youtubers
That ending was just...wow... I had to like the video after hearing that lol. It was great watching your PD weapon reviews Holtzmann!
Shredderblade123 Patrick Casey did the review by the way
Hence the reason I said the ending was good. I thought I made it quite clear that I watched the video man.
Joel Stahr Patrick Casey = Holtzmann
I didn't feel sad until the ending line, pulling on my heart string of feels! why is everyone leaving???
"This has been Patrick Casey with Planet Destiny, your guide to the destiny universe." The feels man the feels
"This has been Patric Casey with Planet Destiny. Your guide, to the Destiny universe."
I laughed the first time I heard you say that, way back in 2014.

Thanks for everything... 👍
Thank you Patrick for some good laughs, and great, informative, well done videos for PD. Can't wait to see what the future holds on your personal channel! I sure will be watching!
it's been a fun ride Patrick, thanks for all the reviews.
a huge chunk of my life has been destiny and seeing one of the people leave one of my favorite channels is disheartening
The original PD crew will be held together at a different place with a different name. Don't worry, they are simply migrating away to leave space for smaller youtubers to get some time in the spotlight. PD is known for being a helpful platform for smaller channels.

Tefty is also leaving I believe.
Everyone from the PD podcast is leaving :(
Thanks for two plus years of awesome content, Patrick. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with your personal channel going forward.
Thank you very much for your contributions over the last two years. Your videos in particular were my favorites on PD. Your reviews were informative and entertaining. I just want to say thank you Patrick. I have watched your video since the early days of destiny and they have been a big help. Thanks being my guide.
The jazz goes incredibly well with your voice Patrick, good stuff!

Thanks Patrick. Your reviews have been something I've watched since I played Destiny, I for one will miss them and of course the PD podcast. Best of luck in whatever comes next.

Patrick's pretty much been the voice of the weapons since launch. Thanks for all the help, man.
Really pumped for to see where creative freedom takes you, Holtz! The nostalgia his extra hard at the end of this video, but I rewatched all your crispy throwing knife kills peppered throughout and my dewy eyes were dried by the fires of said crispiness! Good luck!

love the reviews, you've been my go to channel for weapon reviews for some time now, gonna be missed

Patrick! No I am so sad. Thank you so much for all that you have done for the Destiny community. We will miss hearing your voice on PD. Best of luck!
Dammit Patrick, you just killed me. Gonna be weird not hearing your video ending line anymore. One more reason to subscribe to you!
Thank you for all the reviews you've done for us Patrick. They've made me an infinitely better Guardian in the crucible
Thanks, Patrick, for the past couple of years of great content. Looking forward to seeing what you and the rest of the crew have got in store and best wishes to PD for the future. I'm certainly remaining a loyal subscriber!
Is this the last review by Patrick Casey for PD? I was hoping he'd devote a whole channel to the weekly Gunsmith rolls. :-P
It just came out 7 mins ago...

First Sir Wallen left :-( And now Holtzmann, TeftyTeft and Briar Rabbit... That's the entire original PD crew :-(
Flavor, and Fantasy. Those are important words for an exotic, and this one deserves to be brought into D2
Uh
Don't leave us :( You're the reason I subbed!
I guess this means goodbye. You are and always will be my favorite guide in this amazing universe. And was the core reason why I subbed.
You are why I subbed to Planet Destiny... Goddamnit Ill miss you man!
That was a great final sign off Patrick! I cry every time!
You, Briar, Teftyteft, are the reason why I love Planet Destiny
wow, great video dude! first one i've seen, killed it! had a very meditative quality, thanks!
I thought he meant cuz it's the last exotic in Destiny until Destiny 2 arrives, will miss you

Thanks for all of the awesome PD videos Patrick! I'll be sure to sub to your new channel as well.
You'll always be favorite Patrick, good luck on your channel

This gun, even when you JUST get it, absolutely crushes in Crucible. I love it.
You're watching this casual weapon review and all of a sudden no chill "Yup I'm outtie" damn Patrick you literally ARE Planet Destiny just dang
Good job Patrick will still be following you in your future content
Thanks for all of the great content, Patrick!
Thank you pat! I've been listening to you since I picked up destiny year 1, sad to see you guys leaving best of luck with all you do!
It's the Boolean Gemini of year 3
Boolean is great now
I agree, High Caliber makes the gun better and the Or Another does help protecting you. But OP is right, it is the Boolean Gemini of Year 3.
I completely forgot about that gun.
Thanks for all the hard work Holtz. I'll see you on your personal and twitch channel.
literally shed a crocodile tear. we love you Patrick!

that last part gave me the feels didnt know you where leaving well all miss you Patrick

I hate the zoom on modern scope IMO, so i use classic
Your outro....... It shall always be in my heart ;-;
Thanks for all the great Videos Patrick.
We will miss you Patrick, almost cried at the end bro
An interesting exotic perk for khvostov that you would sacrifice your super ( and maybe grenade and melee) to increase all stats on the gun, except fire rates, but the perks will be randomized when this happens to not make it too strong, so like 450 rpm would have same fire rate but even more boosted range and damage, and so on

because all the modifications are crap except the full auto?
the kvostov exotic is an all around.gun. i like it a lot. i rather use auto rifles over any other gun tho. i just love ARs.
Because there's basically no downside to carrying six guns, in fact they will likely be better than your tap-fire auto.
+Jonah Brown you're bad if you think it's the worst weapon in the game
Thom Beacock I beat this weapon with literally every primary I have. It's only viable as automatic mode. Burst and single fire aren't worth it. It's slow firing pulse damage is out done by hawksaw and it's faster pulse loses terribly to a grasp of Malok. It's single fire mode loses to all scouts. This gun is good as a automatic suit rifle. Bye Patrick, you will be missed!
Love ya Patric you were the reason I subbed to this channel but Iv subbed to your main one now :3
Thank u for the info, I wouldn't have known the new scope is better. 👍🏻
Great job Patrick sad to see you go
Why you glad fam?
Lol where did you get "glad" from?
Stroke the Forge sad. he said sad not glad.
Zack Diabo Meh, Im blind.
This is sad. I love all the crew but always thought Patrick IS Planet Destiny. Subbing to your channel now. Thanks for all you've done here man.
Damn. I'll fucking miss Pat... I've watched his reviews and stuff since the first week of Destiny. I guess the only thing I can say is that it's been a really good ride, you'll have my undying support forever, and we will all miss you. Good luck with all your future projects... 😢
Please don't leave...
I hope the d2 dev's have this thing set for a later season. I can see this thing being made in the enclave forge, but that's just me hoping.
Patrick, I'll miss your PD guides. Best of luck on your next endevor.
i cant believe he is leaving. i watched holtzman since his pocket infinity review. i saw it recently the other day, and i was blown away at how much he improved. LIKE if you'll miss holtzman
