SIG's Strategic Weapons Group works with Team SIG's Daniel Horner and Lena Miculek to create the fastest, lightest, and most accurate MCX the world will ever see!
@@jzzzzz8362 People like us would buy after the fact. Someone else should just make them as aftermarket parts. I feel like their is a market, especially for parts on the larger frame rifle.
@@liberaltears9231 I really want to like SIG because those are some nice features. But the critical failures and absolute the justification SIG fanboys have is absolutely mind blowing. I know people have their brands, but f&€k that in the face, I’ll stick to companies that give a crap about its customers.
They probably have it already developed. They have 6.5, .227, .308, 300 win and 300 Norma already completed. Issue is only SIG barrels and bolts can handle the hybrid round.
Real nice, thanks for sharing. Would love to know your limitations for the competition (caliber restriction to 5.56 or 308 ?, Barrel length 16? or SBR ok ?, Mag restrictions ? Please keep the videos going, damm cool guys!
@@MossyOakFreak They are going to the competition in Finland in 2024, what are the limitations do they have to comply to, any difficulty using and SBR to go there, any caliber restriction for the competition, can they use a sound moderator (suppressor) etc. Would be nice to hear the build specs and rules sheet.
@@sharearms Well they are going to a competition, lets say you would google that one? And then click your way untill you hit rules for IPSC rifle OPEN? On a second thought, that would be to easy.
Hmmm, so the engineer over 1:24 is holding a 10.5" CSAW, which is a new primary assaulter weapon for a certain US SOF unit that works on Bragg. Shame that the same guys went back to their 416s because the thing wasn't tight!
Ok, look... Sig is making it sound like all of this high end R&D is only being made possible because these two shooters are going to be in a shooting match. I know Daniel and Lena are not paying for the R&D, so it's just and excuse to explore the edges. Sig could spend that same money without the thinly veiled excuse and have R&D explore the edges of performance anyway. The premise just comes off weird. Some folks have famously claimed that American civilians own more small arms than all the militaries of the world combined, and nearly half of all the small arms in the world. If you come up with something cool and practical, why wouldn't the American commercial market support it? I know a common problem is something is absolutely amazing, but costs way too much for the market to make it a volume success, but aside from that problem... It's just the whole "we are only doing it for these two people in this one match, and that's how we'll learn something new" vibe just feels off somehow...
I mean the F1 analogy is spot on- companies are risk averse and big name competitions are the lever to get more R&D money in exchange for trophies which translate into PR and thus more sales. It's not an "excuse to explore", it's an "incentive to explore".
The increased reciprocating mass of the MCX will never allow a recoil impulse as soft as what's possible with an AR-15. Go back to physics class or design a new action.
They need to turn that lpvo around in order to meet navy reqs...
Please release the titanium mcx parts 😭😭

@@OperationalGoon MCX bolt I believe is Sig’s IPP, so no other company can make it
Great sig can do this for pro shooters but it would be awesome if they would fix current model issues like the XTen magazines
Remember to engineer it so the barrel and hand guard don’t flop and flex when it leaves the factory. #science
No. Use floppy handguard for more kinetic energy.

It will be cool to watch this R&D work its way into production models.
