Speaking from experience (all bad), I must implore readers buy only USB thumbdrives that have a hole at one end. Why? Because these tiny devices are so darn small I've lost a few of these already. My recommendation is to hook them onto one of those mini-D-rings or put these onto a key chain SO THEY DON'T GET LOST! And get a 3.0 - as the transfer speeds will totally blow your mind! Nothing sucks worse than waiting seemingly forever due to agonizingly read/write speeds. When I updated my computer and it had 3.0 ports - I was amazed how fast I could move an 18 GB movie file from drive-to-drive. Expect to realize 4-7x the transfer rates than what you had on your old 2.0 USB.
+Brian Brewster couldn't have said it better myself. That's why I love this USB. It's 3.0, looks great, and has the hole for a key chain.
I went to buy one of this this morning on Amazon and lo and behold - they have (2) of these 32GB sticks for almost the price of one! $22.78 for two of these is practically a steal! I was tempted to get a 64-GB but I hardly use these any more. I find external HDDs are pretty cheap now but they are far from being portable in the truest sense.

Thank you for the fast reply. From the videos and pictures I can see that there is "something" inside, but it's not clear what it is. I saw other drives similar to this one, in which there was an intricate plastic shape filling most of the space inside.
late reply, but .. there is not all space filled with PCB. All PCB (SIP) is in the USB plug

In Italy, the 64GB version of this USB 3.0 pen-drive costs €29.90 (about US$32.81). I really love it. I had a SanDisk Cruzer 8GB 2.0 USB pen-drive and it didn't work fastly at all.

Jay Ed.90 Da altro dispositivo al pennino 55~70mbps, dal pennino ad altro dispositivo 100~135mbps (non credo arriverà mai a 150mbps come scritto sulla confezione) - Se hai supporto a USB 3.1 scegli un'USB 3.1
Non male..cmq non è per me. Io ho la Cruzer Extreme che è una bomba, però costa anche molto di più. Un ultima cosa, ho letto varie recensioni in cui dicono che scalda tanto, addirittura che "scotta" in certi casi. Secondo te come è sotto questo punto di vista? grazie per le info :)
Jay Ed.90 Che riscaldi è vero, ma sulla perdita di dati improvvisa o sull'autochiusura del pennino mentre che stai trasferendo o stai guardando file dal pennino col PC non ho ancora avuto modo di verificare.

Is there anyway to secure the front end that is exposed to dirt, grime, etc. I like the speed and security but I'm returning it if I can't find a way to keep the inside from getting dirty on a keychain
I've personally been using it on a key chain for the past 2 years and I've had no issues with dust or dirt. I mainly keep them in my pocket.

Can I move files from an old computer running XL onto a SanDisk Ultra Flair? The package says compatible with Vista on wards but I'm not worried about speeds, USB 3.0 and all, I just need to get the files off an old hard drive. Obviously going forward I'd rather buy a state of the art flash drive that will have other applications but only if it will talk to XP. Can anybody advise?

Thanks, James. What I really need is to save the files from the XP machine and some more from a Vista laptop and be able to open them on newer O/Ss (Windows, Mac, Android). Plus to be able to transfer to the stick files from the newer gear too. Is all that possible on the same flash drive or will I need a bunch of them?

Whys mine so damn slow tho? Im transferring local files to sandisk cz73, Im sure I plugged it in usb 3.0 but the speed is like 1 MB maximum lol
Also depends on the file size. If you're transferring smaller files it's slower. Also, this USB does suffer from thermal throttling (gets slower when it gets hot)
@@jcunboxing well um, I am basically trying to back up files as I'm about to reinstall my windows 10 soon, I have C D E F files, and I kinda just create a folder for each of them like "C back up" " E back up" so on, the total size of them is around 280 GB, so I just copy 4 back up files into SANDISK CZ73 , it's just really slow lol, but I just tested moving C back up only (1.2 gb folder) and it takes 2 minutes to finish, but earilier when I tried moving all files into CZ73 the speed was like 2 MB/s max, I'm wondering if I bought the fake one lol, because it's like half the price than official store.
@@Jason-pb2vo you need to make sure you have the most upto date USB 3.1 drivers. Also make sure you test the USB ports to ensure you aren't using a USB 2.0 port. I had a top side USB 3.0 port that didn't go at 3.0 speeds, I had to eventually connect them at the back.

i just used mine about 10-15 time of this drive...right now the computer cant detect the usb..erghhhhh
NO WHERE can i find the write speeds of this drive, even the Sandisk website merely states "faster than 2.0"... that only throws up flags for me. I have a drive that Kingston states reads up to 115mb/s, so comparable to this drive, but the write speeds are brutal.

I bought the 64GB and it messes up my Logitech keyboard and/or mouse - sometimes one or even both. I don't know if it overheats the circuitry inside the PC or if its chipset doesn't get along with Logitech unifiers. I don't think these should be sold anymore at all. I no longer trust SanDisk at all.

No you can't. But I would imagine it will if you apply a great deal of force. But for general use it won't come off.

I bought one of these recently from my local tesco. The drive has only Sandisk etched into the metal, no other writing on it, and when It is in my PC it gets REALLY hot! When tested, the test finished without errors and was 64GB, but it only had write speeds of 22.6 Mbytes/s and read speeds of 68.1Mbytes/s. Would not recommend buying

It does, and it does have some thermal throttling issues but I still use it everyday for transferring basic files.

I bought it yesterday (32GB) and when I open its properties in my computer says that it has 28GB. Scam??? You will probably say: well for 4GB you are not going to die and it's true but it has to be exactly what it says I mean you are buying a 32GB flash drive not a 28GB one
That's the way flash memory works. It NEVER is exactly the amount it lists. You can probably google /TH-cam the reason why it's like that.
