Thank you very much for a very useful, straight to the point comparison testing! Really appreciate that, helped me make up my opinion and choose which drive to buy!
thanks for the video a while ago i had bought a 256gb samsung bar plus 3.1 and im trying to find out how to use games on it and download game directly to it from steam straight to the ponit i like it.
This was a clean comparison, thank you for the video. Do you work with Linux any? I'm looking for a fast thumb drive to boot Manjaro KDE from and use it as a portable desktop. Most people use a fast SSD, but those can be bulky. I need something that's small, but still quick.
Hey, so i am asking about the long term usage, since this video is 7 months old, how is the samsung BAR plus doing after this time period ? Did it break ? Or is it still working well
@@KnowledgeSharingTech you are welcome. I just purchased a 128 sandisk ssd drive 37.99 and my tv has android tv but all pounds with 4 gb of storage that’s insanely terrible. I tried a sandisk ultra Way too slow . Got the ssd Made it faster than the original operating system what is I got 128 gigs for room
i bought sandisk extreme pro, returned it, i got like 40 mb/sec, my old sandisk extreme is around average 90 mb /sec . think ist really crap. but your review is good =)
I prefer the Samsung USB drive for its ergonomic design. There are no important differences in speed compared with the Sandisk USB. The Sandisk pen drive has a pretty old design
Sandisk becomes brutally hot to achieve this speed, a Samsung phone batt may drain. However, Samsung phone OTG permanently reduces its heat, when the phone is set to standby with pressing the power button. I needed 3 retries to cool down a Sandisk drive, all others need one powerdown.
@@Mike-t5r9q When a drive is more hot than it should be, certainly it affects the battery power. As I wrote it earlier, only power btn to standby solves this problem permanently, but the drive will be slower in the phone, generating no heat. All pen drives have this APM feature, at the cost of speed.
Hi there, nice comparation! I’ve started building a PC and I need a flashdrive to store a windows 11 OS in order to make a boot from this unit and install it on the computer. Which of those models do you recommend me based on stability and security? Thank you in advance!
As a matter of fact, I found this USB key that I now recommend: amzn.to/3GXiTOD Here's a video comparing it to the Sandisk: th-cam.com/video/Kw_MNpNBD2I/w-d-xo.html
@@KnowledgeSharingTech Thank you for your fast reply bro, that flash drive isn’t available at this very moment in my region, but I’m gonna wait for stock to buy it. Subscribed to your channel.
What you don't tell is the reliability of Sandisk one after using a few times. It's an actual SSD inside so the speeds are fast, but it becomes flash corrupted after few uses. This product has major flaw. Sometimes the corruption occurred even after 1 use. I know because I returned the product a few times and it still had this issue.
I know sandisk has a 2 software of protection but the samsung bar does almost the same speed as the sandisk. Is having the protection worth picking over the bar plus?
You pick the Sandisk for its speed and not for the software. Also, after using both for a long time, I found out that the the Sandisk is more reliable.
When you plug the devices in Windows, do they appear as "Local Disk" (fixed) or "USB drive" (removable)? It is important for me to know as I need one that is recogniced as "removable" despite both being clearly not fixed. Thanks
Stay tuned for a video where I show a hidden gem I discovered in the form of an ultra fast USB key for less then half the price of the Sandisk! Video coming soon
Its good, but for transwer speed i use "Windows To Go" flash drives. Thats can copy a 13GB game in about 50 seconds. And can beet every flash drive on local market.
As a financial advisor, I'm really happy to see I spent half the price of the Sandisk to buy the Samsung USB for similar performance. Really good stuff.
Thank you very much for a very useful, straight to the point comparison testing! Really appreciate that, helped me make up my opinion and choose which drive to buy!
You are most welcome!
BTW, Which one you bought?
Both! I also have the TopeSel that I now recommend: th-cam.com/video/Kw_MNpNBD2I/w-d-xo.html
That is a clean demonstration!
Very informative video. No fluff. I would add that durability and size are also some purchasing considerations.
Good call!
Good video. Most videos I find are just “ top five” channels with zero tests.
Nice vid review, to the point and facts we need. I like it. I got the Samsung and I'm sure I wont regret it.
Enjoy it

Finally a proper test 👍

Excellent testing, sir. Thank you.

Both of them are still working fine

Great review. Just one question which no one seems to answer - why are there no caps on the end of these usb sticks to protect it from the elements?
Thanks, I guess it is for design purposes.
Probably because dirty pins are not as big as a problem on USB.

Does it really drain the battery of the phone ? If so that's a deal breaker for me

What do you mean by flash corrupted? Deleted?
NAND becomes so corrupted, Windows fails to initialize device. It also becomes write-protected. SMART reports corrupted blocks and read errors.
will the samsung bar plus be fine for booting operating system?
Knowledge Sharing Tech Nice content, was good help would you still recommend any of these in 2023?
I would recommend now the SanDisk more then the Samsung
Does the Extreme Pro reduce speed when attached with an adopter to attach to the USB C Macbook?
I didn't try it but it shouldn't. You should though make sure that the adaptor is of a good quality and that the port on the Mac is 3.0 or more.
@@KnowledgeSharingTech thanks
exactly what i need
thank you 😘😘😘

Do u press in the mechanism to put that metal usb inside? mine it is hard to put inside easy to pull out
*Thank you*
Thank you 🙏
From ps4 to Pc which one is good anyone have any idea ie files approx 1-2gb
great. can make test with teracopy for see something difference with windows copy system.
Thank you.
Hi, I bought this pen drive but it reaches very high temperatures 60/70°, is this normal for this type of USB or do you think it is faulty?
Which one? If you use it all the time, the temps are normal
@@KnowledgeSharingTech Sandisk
Clean! :D thx!
No problem!
Sandisk ultra Luxe vs Samsung bar plus which one is better??
I didn't try the Sandisk Ultra Luxe
Sandusky Extreme Pro vs Kingston Data Traveler Max

Kingston Data Traveler Max

Removable
Can i play large games with the Sandisk pro usb 3.2 flash drive?
I didn't try it but I don't see why not
how would that turn out with hundrets of audio files (music)?
What do you mean? I have thousands of files on the Sandisk connected to my router and it works flawlessly.
From what I could gather from your video, the SanDisk Extreme Pro USB can't sustain very high write speeds (300MBps+) for very long, right?
Good point!
There is no software to do those benchmark more easily ?
Yes there is. But even the best SW cannot mimic real life usage and that's what I'm trying to achieve in my tests.
tbh both would be a win from my sandisk glider that has a max write of 15mb and max write of 45mb that it never gets to ever... (i got usb 3.0 ports)
Stay tuned for a video where I show a hidden gem I discovered in the form of an ultra fast USB key for less then half the price of the Sandisk! Video coming soon

Has anyone experienced it getting quite warm? If so, how warm?
It gets a bit worm
@@KnowledgeSharingTechHow will watching a 20gb+ movie from it affect it? is more taxing on it when reading or writing?

I didn't try the Fit plus but it seems faster then the bar plus
@@KnowledgeSharingTech Thanks alot
hello
Samsung is faster, but looking at the comments, why is Sandisk recommended?
It is faster
Yea but the samsung is smaller and built like a tank. I'd honestly take that over faster large file write speeds.
IMO, you can't go wrong with either of these USB keys
Solid metal vs crappy plastic , easy choice.
As a financial advisor, I'm really happy to see I spent half the price of the Sandisk to buy the Samsung USB for similar performance.

😃✌️👍
Samsung is trash..Sandisk is always the best..I never fcked up with Sandisk usb disks.
To bad it has not temperature of both devices
At the time of this comment the samsung is less than half the price. $25/$60 Respectively, easy win for the samsung at that price
Look at this new video, it has an even better option: th-cam.com/video/Kw_MNpNBD2I/w-d-xo.html
I take the SanDisk... :)
Que lastima que no entiendo un carriso
Activa los subtitulos
I take the SanDisk.
Sandisk is winner. 💪💪💪
