Admittedly I’m not the most “accurate” content watcher. But I tested the s90d alongside the g4 in my home. The s90 did have better color luminance overall. But it lacked so much in brightness for me. The g4 was plenty bright, while lacking slightly in color. I ultimately chose the g4 for my sun soaked room. The g4 I have changed to native color gamut, and turning the color adjustment to high. It actually creates super vibrant colors, probably not “perfect” but plenty enough to make it equal to what I saw on the s90d.
I concur since I have a G4 now and still have a first gen qdoled Samsung s95b. Glad to see S90D still doesn’t match the G4 in brightness 😂 G4 just is razor sharp too in resolution and processing, that you notice distant objects in landscapes are more discernible. As you mentioned the color advantage is overhyped with QD oled in a sense, and Samsung has always used oversaturated colors anyhow for their TVs. I hear the Sony qdoled looks more muted and therefore more accurate compared to Samsung, which makes the overall color advantage over LG more of a moot point. To compensate for color diff like you mentioned I turn up G4 color to 65 or 70, use native color gamut for SDR since HDR automatically uses it, but also bumping up color temp to warmest/highest setting.
@@lpromer4796 depends on which sony but the A95L is better than the s90d but very close, I don’t like the Dolby vision implementation on the A95L it’s a bit buggy
I think so to. Make TV's great instead of marketing again. I went from an LG G2 to a G4 for MLA. More hype than value. Brightens is massive on the G4, to a point where I think it's too much

Because in 4-5 years when I upgrade again it will be a massive upgrade again. I mean it can get super bright in HDR and with PC games in HDR when you can tweak the settings. Same thing deep blacks and contrast and smack in your face HDR. But yes, this year it will be even better. But that doesn't mean what we got is bad. If we constantly look for next year you will never have a TV.
The G4 vs a QDOLED lost in colour the brighter the image was and especially lacking a lot in colour specular highlights. Don't try and downplay the biggest issue the LG OLEDs always had. Now they might have fixed that for the most part is the biggest deal in WOLED history. It might not still hit QDOLED colour levels. But if it retains colours at higher brightness and more pure that is nothing but a win. The fact the G5 is likely a decent amount brighter as well is a huge win because it means the improvements doesn't come with a drawback. The screen is pure black this time when lights hit it too. Higher refresh rate, improved processing. Why is this even a discussion? Sure save money get a G4 but you're also getting a worse TV. It's that simple.

Hi , can someone please answer this !! Thanks . If I buy an LG C4 the next time they are on sale , how can I be sure they or LG is not trying to pass of a factory free // brand new unit for a rebfurbished unit ? I mean lets face it , they just want to sell . Like Amazon or Crutch. , how can we know they are band new and never been open ? Thanks for your help.
I went from an LG: CX to G2 then a G4. Brightness between G2 and G4 is massive. With OLED pixel brightness at 0 on the g4 it's still bright. I think LG should have worked on other stuff than brightness
They should work on implementing their best processor and screen tech to the C series. Back then no one cared for the G series - now it’s the model to get if you want peak highlights.
Looks like technology of the big 3 TV producers has maxed out for the next 2 or more years after an incredible explosion last year. I don't see much more picture quality that is gonna be worth the wow factor for years to come. That's why I upgraded to a G4 this year. It's a big wow over my 6 year old Samsung from 2018. I'm set for at least another 5 years.
Wouldn’t you be drawing more power with a 4 stack oled? I thought the whole narrative lately was to be green . Anyways although I have the older C2 oled’s in my home, that MLA sounded like a great idea as it’s improving the picture and it’s passive . If I had the money I’d upgrade my living room oled from a 65 c2 to a 77 g4 . I bet it’s amazing
Are you saying even on hdr games that are colorful, you rarely see the extra color luminance? And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Panasonic act like their g5 panel was rgb?
I still cannot invest in these TVs as a long term investment. I want the OLED contrast as I’ve had many of the C series TVs but they always wind up with dead pixels and it drives me nuts having to be mindful of leaving a static screen constantly. I think I’m just going high end QLED until we get QDEL or MicroLED. I’m sticking with that for at least 5 years, hopefully OLED is no longer the best by then as I don’t want small risk of burn in. I want no risk of burn in for this kind of money.

Thank you
@ might aswell go 240. I reckon they are using some input IC that monitor manufacturers were using a few years ago that can only do 165 and it’s not a panel issue. Since all new OLEd monitors are doing 240 now wouldn’t be surprised if they follow suit next year
I can't even fathom someone giving out buying advice before the G5 is even out. "Just get the G4". You have no clue at all and you talk about 'unknown'. Do you think LG is just going to change the panel layout again in 2026? This is the NEW panel and that won't change. There is nothing to fix for 2026 in that regard. Do you also think they would just put together a new panel without any knowledge of failure etc? This is just ridiculous. The G5 is better than the G4 in every single regard, you can come back to this comment when it comes out and we will see who eats crow. Poor suckers that "just get the G4" a few months before the new and improved G5 comes out, lol. This is ridiculous. Don't give out buying advice based on speculation FFS!!!

I might be interested in the most because of the RGB panel unless Sony revealed something good
So MLA is a dead in the water? LG Dispalys probably hasnt made their initial investment in MLA back, it usually takes 3-5 years to make up all the R&D costs, and costs to set up all the new infrastructure for the nee technology. Still unsure why LG can't use MLA with the tandem display? You can not use MLA with qd-oled, but should be able to be used with the tandem oled. What a waste LG, what a watse.
Why is the C series being shoved under the rug - in terms of processor and best screen tech? Rhetorical question. Not long ago it dominated the OLED lineup 2019-2022. No one cared for the G series back then.
the 77" is one I will look at plus G5, and S95D . prices for Panasonic in my country are pretty good - I think by the time I upgrade that the forever TV will be near perfect so go larger . As a purist always liked Pannys PQ ( 90 to 100" is in perfect range for me, as don't watch that much TV , plus projectors will give options with lasers and very short throw anyway if want 120 to 160" in 5 years)

Natural language ISN'T A.I. If it was real A.I. then you could have spoken to it and asked it to calibrate your TV or whatever else you need without the person having to do anything but ask.
Another minor problem with the g5 is that it does not come with a stand. It only comes with a wall mount. If people that don’t have the wall space to mount a tv this is a no go.
$2800 for a 65" oled is not a good buy...... mla or no mla it's still not a good buy. And if MLA is so great, why is LG and Panasonic abandoning MLA then? You can't say MLA is the panacea, then LG discontinues MLA afterbonly 2 years. Sorry all 5 those people that purchased a G3/G4.
@williamlowry5704 owning both of there 2024 models I can strongly say the Samsung looked better with HDR content then the LG , but if the Samsung can truly hit up to 4000 Nits that will be great to see

Great video... Just Subbed... bought the G4 83 from a 2013 Hisense 3d tv... loved that tv... but the G4 is amazing....
Do u think they will release a 88inch oled or micro tv for my next tv....
Wow the Hisense lasted for 12 years!!
Any uniformity or vertical banding on greyscale?
@@nash797 It's still going....
Also MLA is probably more power efficient right?
What about a Tesla TV
Thank you for doing this video FOMO. Been considering this decision a few weeks ago now. Gonna get a 77 inch. G4 or G5. I know Best Buy had the G4 for $3500 on Black Friday. How much do you think the 77 inch G5 will be when it’s released. Thank you for all the videos you do buddy. 👍
This is a good analysis short of actual lab testing.
Cant wait for the G6 to have 4 stack oled and MLA to beat the G5
At that point might as well 👀 at the 🌞
Looks like technology of the big 3 TV producers has maxed out for the next 2 or more years after an incredible explosion last year. I don't see much more picture quality that is gonna be worth the wow factor for years to come. That's why I upgraded to a G4 this year. It's a big wow over my 6 year old Samsung from 2018. I'm set for at least another 5 years.
42in for cpu monitor?
What TV is going to be better with performance and brightness for the PS5 PRO
Wouldn’t you be drawing more power with a 4 stack oled? I thought the whole narrative lately was to be green . Anyways although I have the older C2 oled’s in my home, that MLA sounded like a great idea as it’s improving the picture and it’s passive . If I had the money I’d upgrade my living room oled from a 65 c2 to a 77 g4 . I bet it’s amazing
Why not G3?
The only benefits to me of the G5 coming out is that the G4 will go on sale !!
G6 with HDMI 2.2. Next year's tvs will be a better choice
I still won't buy OLED but I'm really excited about the new miniled tech you covered
Hello there?
I have a 65-in CXPUA TV that keeps shutting off when it gets hot .I am waiting on the price drop for the 77-in LG c4 hopefully before super bowl My question is.. how much better will this upgrade be cuz I am super excited to get to c4 And I should add that I play a lot of video games on a PS5 occasional movies. Thank you
I'm told the c5 will have a 98 inch. i need that in my life
Wondering if they fixed the gaming brightness/color on the C5 yet, gonna guess no if it’s still the A9 processor
Please, tell samsung that matte finish is a terrible idea. Thx for your content
G6 240Hz expectations?
I'd be happy with 200 lol
Obviously the G5 is better but anyone who pays full price early on in the release cycle is a fool.
Hey buddy. G4 and save money 😊
Money is not problem
Hey FOMO. One last question buddy. Do you think the 77 inch C5 will have comparable image quality to a 77 inch G4? Thx Sir.
G4 is much brighter
@ Appreciate the advice buddy. Yeah, probably will get G4. Just waiting for price to drop just a bit more. 👍
@@brianbeene4181 wait for the g5 till it becomes available, then the g4s will be on sale after a couple of months. That's how I bought my g3 a year ago.
What does AI in a TV actually do or is it just a marketing term that does nothing?
G1 and G2 last gen without MLA had better inki blacks than G3 and G4. G5 without MLA will have inkier blacks. I will never buy oled with anti glare. Anti glare no buy !
That is not true!
Maybe in full bright rooms has MLA raised blacks but not in dark rooms.
So please stick by the truth.
@Deadleaus That’s your opinion, and I have a right to mine.
That's your opinion, and I have the right to mine.
Seriously the Tandem technology is not nes it was already used in 2019 in many other products. In addition it is the same technology as the iPod Pro!
LG é o melhor fabricante de TVS DISPLAYS etc do mundo tem durabilidade qualidade confiabilidade garantia experiência imponente etc LG melhor do mundo LG capricha em tudo 👑🥇🏆🌟💯🚀🎉
Thanks
For me what about gz2000 to z95b????
Would you happen to know about AWALL Microleds TV? They are getting cheap.
I don’t think the money is worth it for any 2024 TV that year felt like filler. I’m getting me a 2025 TV personally I would just advise people to wait on a cell if y’all want, but I’m getting a TV day one S95B Panasonic right now be the TV. I might be interested in the most because of the RGB panel unless Sony revealed something good
LG G4 is already too bright, what brightness improvement G5 is going to have. Its just More brightness and bette 165 hz which I dont think is helpful.
This not my type of tvs but I enjoy your video Lgs is getting better but you said alot facs
Next year!
Why is the C series being shoved under the rug - in terms of processor and best screen tech? Rhetorical question. Not long ago it dominated the OLED lineup 2019-2022. No one cared for the G series back then.
Late stage capitalism bud
@ Agreed
Because beginning with the G3 the G series has better panels. G1/G2 only had a heatsink and the wall mount.
165hz how with hdmi bandwidth limitations? 4k 165hz not possible... but 1440p yes
hdmi 2.2 coming
@ but we don't know if the G5 has hdmi 2.2. I doubt it
They make a great tv; not so much a remote....
And? Who buys a tv just for the remote??
Then buy a logitech universal remote to control everything
Get the Panasonic 😂 That's what I'm doing
the 77" is one I will look at plus G5, and S95D . prices for Panasonic in my country are pretty good - I think by the time I upgrade that the forever TV will be near perfect so go larger . As a purist always liked Pannys PQ ( 90 to 100" is in perfect range for me, as don't watch that much TV , plus projectors will give options with lasers and very short throw anyway if want 120 to 160" in 5 years)
Ive seen the videos of the s95F. Blacks still look terrible to me
which video?
Can’t tell just by looking at vids or listening to influencers.
Have a look at it when it comes out.
I want ultra max vs ultra ultimate 😀
Hey FOMO. Can you send me one of your unused OLED tv. I sure could use one.
QD OLED spectrum is still the most pure. S90F will be glossy and perform close to current S95D? I could go for some of that.
It is not glossy it is the mate coating!
@@we8463 oh word. I didn't know that thanks. Maybe they are going to matte coating because QD OLED is so difficult to clean without a protective coating.
C Series never really improves. Going on 6 years now.
G3 is amazing and was reviewed by most as one of the best OLEDs at the time. It's still great.
oleds are overpriced. wait a year.
Until now, this is not a good year for buy a new tv. Mayve Sony fix this mess.
A disgusting Matt finish
G5 has a matte screen? Glad I got the G4 then.
@@weduhpeople8504 He's talking about the Samsung S95F. G5 is glossy.
Samsungs OLED is going to destroy the LG OLED this year
Think the rumours are it's not much improvement from Samsung and they just r a terrible company for making there TVs Less bright
@williamlowry5704 owning both of there 2024 models I can strongly say the Samsung looked better with HDR content then the LG , but if the Samsung can truly hit up to 4000 Nits that will be great to see
I'm never again buying an LG OLED TV for not supporting DTS, I still have a huge collection of DVDs that support DTS
All the LG oleds support dts since the C3
The remote is useless with cable tv
