I think the eras where we first fell in love with motorcycles that really imprints us for life regarding our preference in design. I've primarily had classically designed bike whether it be Triumph, BMW, Moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, Yamaha or Kawasaki.
G'day mate, I've been a rider for 4+ decades and owned many different bikes but have only just discovered the Z900rs and have just purchased a 2018 cafe model in lime 💚. Judging by the forums and Facebook pages dedicated to this model I think the interest in the kwacka and other makes in the retro styling is just continuing to grow. I think Sports bikes are great but can only really be ridden in the purpose they were made for on a race track and bikes like this are far more suited to everyday riding. By the way great to see someone from the south coast doing TH-cam video's, I'm in Ulladulla and we have some of the best riding road's around don't we. Keep up the good work and hopefully we can ride together one day. 👍
Thanks Jeff. They stopped making the Cafe model after the first couple of years so that will probably hold its value even more than the one I have. ENJOY. :>)
lovely bike, almost pulled the trigger on one 6 years ago, slightly too tall for me and the finance was expensive so went for the cb 1100rs, however i sold it and regretted it, bought one again last year, only 2000 miles and as new. I think we remember these bike as kids but also seem popular with younger riders, enjoy ride safe
The CB 1100RS is a great bike too and has similar looks to the bikes I remember as a teenager. Pity the new CB1000 Hornet SP isn't a little more retro looking. With the reworked Fireblade engine (from 2015 I think) sounds like it is going to be an amazing bike. :>)
I own the 2022 model in dark green. This is my third season with the bike. I’ve already done long tours across Europe with it, and I have to say the motorcycle is perfect for every situation. I’m very happy with it and don’t see myself selling it in the coming years. By the way, I’m only 37 and previously rode a sportbike.
Have to agree with just about all your comments on the RS I have the exact same bike as yours bought secondhand but like new has the flash tune which is good and the early style tank badges it's a great match for my Z1A same colour as well as for the gearing I rode a mate's bike with 16 tooth front sprocket and 5th gear is like 6th to likely to get booked in top gear plus I stay away from the freeway
Thanks Paul. WOW you have a Z1A as well. That's the bike that probably most inspired me when I was a teenager. Which is why I wanted this colour and not the jaffa colour from the original Z1 in 1972. I only ever saw the yellow and green models in the streets near where I went to school and tjeu were the bikes I dreamed of owning at that time. Even more so than the CB750Four which was also a revolution for motorcycling at that time. :>)
Yes I have a tragic obsession with the early models there's 7 of them in the shed the only late model bikes I have are the RS and a Honda CRF 450 we are lucky living on the south coast I'm at Mollymook and usually ride further south just great for dirt and road riding our classic club is having a display at Mollymook beach on Australia Day morning drop in if your out riding.
@@pauldarderi3560 Thanks Paul. I have visitors this weekend but if I can get away I will. If not keep me informed about future events and I will definitely make one. Love that kind of event. :>)
Yes can be a busy weekend and catch up with friends I'll keep you posted about events our Berry bike show is on the first Sunday in May gets a good turnout.

That was definitely the case for me and my taste in bikes. :>)
I own one. I love how Japanese modified Z900RS.
Great bike aren't they :>)
Hi from the states just bought one of these this week. I grew up in England in the 1970s and this was the bike everyone wanted.
Congratulations. I know this bike lived up to all my expectations and more and am sure it will be the same for you. ENJOY. :>)

Getting a '24 SE shortly. I can't wait.
I'm not surprised you can't wait. Have fun. :>)

That's awesome. The Z900RS will be more comfortable I'm guessing than the sports bikes. :>)
