You should consider taking the finished art work of each book of the Bible and putting them into a single bound book or eBook. If in an eBook the graphic could easily have a link out to TH-cam. But in a real book, it would be beautiful! Or even posters. I'd love to be able to use these as a resource when teaching a Sunday school class.
Thank you for doing all of the hard work for us! Sometimes it’s hard to understand the main idea behind the stories, especially in the Old Testament, smh
Wow this helped me understand Samuel 1 & 2 so much more. When you read the Bible it's easy to miss the main themes or forget what you've read in another Book. I love how you tie everything together and bring clarity to God's larger story at work
I find the Bible impossible to read, even the simple translations. Every time I hear about a Biblical theme or story I think: "Wow! That's amazing, it's totally what I'm interested in, I'm gonna read that." But when I try I can't 😕😕😕
My dear @Margarita Magdalena that's how it is. That's why a project like this helps us all to develop and sustain our interest in reading and understanding God's words. It's only His Words that is bigger than His name that's why the enemy makes it so difficult for us to read and dwell in it. That's the secret to life. You need to ask God for the grace, only the Spirit of God can help you; it's not by power or might. Cry to God for what you desire, and He'll answer. If I can read my bible now, my dear, you too can.😘
I lovedddd this! I’m only 14 but I’m starting to get closer to God. I watch these movies before starting a new chapter of my Bible and it always leaves me feeling great because I understand the Bible so much better after. Thank you so much for taking your time to make this, it’s truly amazing! God bless you!
Hey. I'm 17. I also love these Bible project summaries. Personally I watch a video once I finish a chapter just to compare my experience reading with the Bible project experience. These videos motivate me to read more so keep going too 😀🎉
I'm always encouraged by people who admit to not being able to read The Bible, Gods Word, as well as others. That's "me" l really gain so much from these videos, and am able to see the bigger picture.. Thankyou to the makers,👏👏 your gift and your channel Blesses 'me' and many others, l can see. ✝️🙌🙌✝️ ❤❤ 🇦🇺
I’ve started reading my Bible with a goal to read it throughly, and actually study as I go. These videos have really helped in further understanding and memorizing the books. Thank you Thank you Thank you! May God Bless the team at Bible Project and all your present and future projects to come!!!
Please NEVER stop making these. Because God is working through you guys.❤ all the way in South Africa and you're moving the entire world with your work. THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND THANK YOU🔥❤❤❤
I'm a book lover but the Bible has been a struggle for me. I don't always understand the meaning of everything. I start with a book my dad gave me called The Complete Guide to the Bible, then watch your video on the book of the Bible I'm reading, then read that book of the Bible aloud to myself. There's also a couple TH-cam I found that break down each chapter of each book so if I'm looking for deeper meaning I search their videos. I'm really thankful for so many resources to help me understand God's word. Thank you!
Every time I rewatch this: “How can these videos be so good?!” Seriously, thank you so much for showing the parallels from the beginning of 1 Sam to the end of 2 Sam. Powerful to see the repetition.
I have to go to work soon, but I don't want to stop watching this series it's just beautiful in it's entirety I feel my God's presence as I keep listening and watching the beauty of the art work. God bless you guys
You all are doing a great service to and for disciples of Jesus Christ! To God be the glory. I will continue to support and yes brought finances. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I really needed these summarizations. I'm not a very patient reader so I struggle with reading the Bible and understanding overall themes! This is so helpful to me! God bless you.
All I can say is " God always has somebody" these descriptions helps me summarize the books and it all comes together! Thank you God for blessing this young man with the knowledge and wisdom to interpret the books of the bible with a better understanding...may God continue to bless you
Thank you. Your presentations really help. This one also illustrates a beautiful literary element called Chiasmus ( Ky-az-mus). Chiasmus or a chiasm is a list of things or events that points to a central theme by presenting a sequence and then reversing the sequence with a list of parallels and the central theme or the point is the event in the middle, or by listing sequence and parallel in the same order both ending in the principle theme. A, B, C, D, E, d, c, b, a or Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, E. Your presentation of the end of 2 Samuel illustrates this well. Good job. God Bless.
I love "The Bible Project"! The way they outline and illustrate the books of the Bible really demonstrates that there really is an Author of Time. The book of Samuel demonstrates this extremely well. Seeing how the historically proven events have been laid out is amazing.
The Bible is so complex. It’s a shame that so many people don’t believe in it because they just simple don’t understand it. God help us and teach us! Great Videos.
I was lead to read 1 Sam 16 and onward earlier this week, and I learned soo much about David’s character! These videos together was a great recap of what I read 🙌🏾 more grace to you guys!
You guys explain things very well, and I love watching the Bible Project every night so that I get a better understanding about God's word and story. Keep up the good work!
may we make decisions that honor our Lord but when we don't may we remorsefully throw ourselves at His feet and seek reconciliation knowing that our God is one who makes amends!
May God bless your work! You bring beauty and clear understanding of the Bible showing how God is and has always been good to His people and how we as humans keep failing besides His Mercy and grace.
my heart is about to explode of joy when i watch every books one by one sometimes i repeat or go back n forth 3-4 times and rejoice by God´s amazing work. this was what exactly i needed. God Bless you abundantly !!
Thank you for another amazing video. It helped me to choose my baby boy's name. My wife and I decided to watch one of your videos every morning during our maternity leave. Thank you so much. God bless you 💙
ISAIAH 9 - 1 SAMUEL “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.” (Isaiah 9:2) WORDS BY: FATHER "Are you afraid to stand out as a beacon in the darkness? Are you ashamed to represent Christ to the nations of the world so that all who see you know that you are My image? Or would you prefer to fit in with the rest of the world to preserve your identity? The insecurity of being different is so great that it has not only crippled many spiritually, but it has stopped many believers from walking in the fullness. It causes people to act a certain way in order to fit in. But have you ever stopped to consider what it is you are fitting in to? A world so driven by image over integrity. Man in himself is a speck; but in Me so much more. David knew this which was why he could dance before Israel and be a fool for My sake. Unlike his wife who was ashamed, his acceptance was in Me alone. Therefore, a fool was the least he could be for Me. Fear is indeed a snare unto humanity and if you are ashamed of Me, of My gospel, of My words, then you will have a fruitless life just as Michal became fruitless in childbearing. Who do you value? You are called to be the light of the world and stand out as My servant Samuel did; for indeed he was a sign to Israel of one faithful to the light. My requirement for you is the same - walk in the light continually so that darkness has no hold in you. It begins by being obedient to My still small voice which daily whispers your name. This will test your integrity levels. By listening faithfully when I speak, you become a light that others will be drawn to and you will indeed stand out as a beacon in the spirit realm. So whose image will you represent - the world’s image or My image?"
ISAIAH 10 - 2 SAMUEL “Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.” (Isaiah 10:12) WORDS BY: FATHER "The first thing out of the six things I hate - a proud look. It is the fruit that despises the humble, that dominates the lesser, that rises up against leadership, that looks down upon anything that disagrees with it, that takes offence when light is given, that resists and denies obvious truth, that never admits its wrong, that walks around with the air of superiority, always thinking it knows better, and never seeing eye to eye with Me. This is indeed a proud look which I despise. Everything about Absalom portrayed this image in the way he acted, from his defiance against authority, to the way he rose up against My anointed. His pride then caused him to do the seventh thing I despise - sowing discord amongst the brethren, by turning David’s people against him. Pride always leads to a fall and he was indeed punished for the fruit of his arrogant heart and the glory of his haughty looks. The thing I require from you is humility. It is the fruit that is quick to listen and slow to speak, that doesn’t yield to darkness, nor resists the light, that always speaks in truth regardless, and that is in agreement with Me. This is a humble heart that I appreciate. David was not perfect but he displayed many of these qualities because he was a man after My heart. Even though he fell at times and made some poor decisions, there was always grace in his failings. I never look at your imperfections in life but rather what you do to choose humility. Choose this day to humble yourself under My hand and My grace will be sufficient for you to pull you through any situation you’re in."
I love this beautiful, well-organized structure and sketches. Thank you so much. I'm using this clip to teach my children today for the Sunday Chaple due to COVID 19.
It's 8yrs past and I came across this only today . This is a beautiful concise way of presenting the books in the Bible.. A good instrument for all ages everyone God bless the channel..
I would absolutely LOVE for these to be converted into some sort of children's book so that I can read this to my son! Currently reading The Beginning Bible but I feel that these are much better!
3:54 makes me think of the immoral things I’ve done and how it could effect my kids and everyone around me. I have to be better for them and for myself! I pray God will forgive me and help me be like his son Jesus! Everyone has done things without consequences, but God will hold you accountable!
These videos definitely clear up a lot for me. It's hard to read some of these books and understand how they relate to the bigger picture of scripture sometimes and this super helps ☝🏼
Thank you so much for making these- it's so helpful! I like to read a few chapters and then watch these videos to keep the bigger picture in mind! Praise the Lord for his provisions!
Something new I learned from this video is that although David made bad choices, God still continued to love him when he humbled himself. However, like all people, David had to face the consequences of his actions. Each of these stories follow the same pattern of a person sinning, God forgiving them, and eventually them paying the price for their actions.
I've never really been truly religious or a believer (although christianity has played a role in my upbringing kind of indirectly through my grandparents), I find bible stories really fascinating and most importantly I find these videos very comforting.
These videos are amazing and I’m very grateful for the time and effort put into them. God bless the maker/s for putting his word out for all to clearly understand!
I love these videos. I sometimes use them to help me better understand what I’m reading . Example, 2 Samuel, I was getting confused by the last chapters. I find they explain well the format of the stories.
Man.. The book of Samuel is jam packed with stuff. Much of which I still haven't grasped, despite having just finished reading it a couple of days ago. I have been reading about 2 chapters a day. But on most days it was taking me 1-2 hours just to finish two chapters a day. And I feel like I still needed a lot more time to study each chapter. I definitely need to go back and do a deeper study on the book. But that could take a couple of months for me to go through it thoroughly, like I wanted. I want to read the entire bible, but if I spent that much time in one book, I was afraid I might not ever accomplish reading the whole thing.
You guys should do an apologetic series just like the Torah series. Ideas to put in this series: -reliability of scripture -proving Gods existence Etc. Really hope you guys do at least something in the field of apologetics
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35.
Just amazing!!! Thank you so much for putting all the bible chapters together in a precise, comprehensive/easily-understood summary! 🙏🏼 God bless you all
Among all the books in the TaNaKh this is the very first book that I read and it's well summarize here specifically the literature design of it which is very important to fully understand the entire book. God Bless you and your ministry.
Thank you guys for your hard work. I have been trying to read Samuel 1 for a while now. I have KJV and I struggle with that old English. It's great to try to read the chapters, and then come to you guys just to make sure I am getting it right.
why dont you try using another translation of the Bible? They are all available online and for free. I'd suggest you read from either the NIV or ESV translations.
This explanation helped me understand a little more better, when I was reading these chapters I was so shocked and amazed at the same time. it really does have a lot of meanings that can work in our daily lives.
I appreciate these videos so much. I have comprehension problems after a TBI years ago. Seeing this helps me understand what im readong so much better. Ty so much!
Wow! Very informational, I think one of my favorite parts was when Samuel explained on when David was the King of Israel. It was told well and very interesting with key information.
Truly amazing videos. I came across this site just by random and found it so interesting that within a week I watched most of the videos. Thanks so much team...keep doing them. God bless us
I absolutely love those videos cause I go from the Bible to here and vice versa. One thing about this video is it is missing the below: David did not IMMEDIATELY own up to his wrongdoing. Nathan used the parable of the rich man with many flocks and herds and the poor man with the little lamb. It was then that David condemned his own sin. “So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.”” II Samuel 12:5-6 NKJV When Nathan revealed that David was the rich man and was told of the consequences of his actions he acknowledged that he had sinned. (The difference between Saul and David) “So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.” II Samuel 12:13 NKJV Although God was not going to take his life. David too had confessed in verse 6 that with true repentance there had to be restitution. And from then on God promised that from that day forward David would know violence and bloodshed among his own family members. “Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’” II Samuel 12:10 NKJV

These videos are amazing and I’m very grateful for the time and effort put into them. God bless the maker/s for putting his word out for all to clearly understand!
Awesome! Reading the bible in a whole new way! Thank you very much for making these videos!
I’m just in Awe! Wow!!!! The Bible Project, May God enlarge your territory. Beautiful work!
Millions need to see these videos
I love these videos. I sometimes use them to help me better understand what I’m reading . Example, 2 Samuel, I was getting confused by the last chapters. I find they explain well the format of the stories.
i love this bible story and praise jesus and god
fantastic! we've been making our way through 2nd Samuel in church and this is a delightful addition to our knowledge, thank you :)
Ideas to put in this series:
-reliability of scripture
-proving Gods existence
Etc.
Really hope you guys do at least something in the field of apologetics
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35.
Praise jesus❤❤ matthew 6:33 seek ye first the kingdom of God
Thank you, thank you, thank you! These videos are SO HELPFUL to me as I’m finally reading through the Bible for the first time.
God bless you guys for this fantastic work.
You are such a blessing!! Thank you so much for your hard work in these videos! Thank you!!

Thank you so much for putting all the bible chapters together in a precise, comprehensive/easily-understood summary! 🙏🏼 God bless you all
Thank you so much for doing these. My son came home from his Lutheran school where they introduced him to your channel. We love watching! God Bless!!
Thank you SO much for this! I’ve decided that after each book I read, I’ll come back here to get a great refresher and summary! God bless you guys
I love this video.. Godbless u all.. Looking forward for next scripture
This series is explained so well!! Amazing work done here, building up treasures in the kingdom for these :)

I love this so much. Thank you for helping us read the bible and being so simple to follow
This explanation helped me understand a little more better, when I was reading these chapters I was so shocked and amazed at the same time. it really does have a lot of meanings that can work in our daily lives.
5:51 Grand picture of the entire story line. 2 Sam 21-24 is too rich to read through without tasting this grand theme.
Thank you, the Bible Project!

Very well put together, a real blessing! Thank you!
I absolutely love those videos cause I go from the Bible to here and vice versa.
One thing about this video is it is missing the below:
David did not IMMEDIATELY own up to his wrongdoing. Nathan used the parable of the rich man with many flocks and herds and the poor man with the little lamb. It was then that David condemned his own sin.
“So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.””
II Samuel 12:5-6 NKJV
When Nathan revealed that David was the rich man and was told of the consequences of his actions he acknowledged that he had sinned. (The difference between Saul and David)
“So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.”
II Samuel 12:13 NKJV
Although God was not going to take his life. David too had confessed in verse 6 that with true repentance there had to be restitution. And from then on God promised that from that day forward David would know violence and bloodshed among his own family members.
“Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’”
II Samuel 12:10 NKJV
THank you Bible Project for this video.
