Wonderful photos. Nice that they are so common in the UK. Not so much in the USA but if you know where to look one can find them. They have certainly increased in numbers since I was a boy also. So fun to watch them fly and can achieve so incredible speed not only in the stoop but also in level flight. So much faster than other birds along the coast. Thanks for sharing you photography and keep up the good work.
Beautiful video. I’ve never seen a Peregrine although they live in central London where I work and apparently around the cliffs of Dover 20 miles from where I live in Kent.
Great stuff Mike! I have a ? For you … I’m using DSLR gear canon 80D with sigma 150-600.. & much like your spot in the video by me it’s a cliff setting and at time I’m above looking down on him/her…. My ? Is though I always stay is single point AF….& that gets tricky especially when falcon is flying soo should I go up in AF to the next larger option the box or even bigger ? Thanks appreciate it
The general rule of thumb, is to use the smallest at area that you can reliably keep on your subject. If it’s too difficult with single point, try zone af, if it’s still too difficult try large zone. Hope this helps
Great video mike you have inspired me enough to purchase a A1 ,would love to know the location for these birds i have them near me in chichester cathedral but it is awkward photographing them could i pm you for a location if you do not want to disclose the location ,
Excellent Mike I love Peregrines, I photograph ones around Derbyshire. They usually hunting pigeons it’s amazing to watch and get shots . presume you using zone focus ? Do you leave bird eye AF on for BIF ? Also which tracking sensitivity?
@@MikeLaneFRPS Thanks Mike I find that tracking sensitivity to really make a difference , for Swifts , Swallows I use 4 but like 1 and 2 for most other things normally 2 for the Peregrines flex spot set to half shutter and wide or zone set to AF-ON button
Hello Mike I've been watching your videos and enjoying all your photos which I find fantastic ,on one of your videos you said you used to sell a bird hide with the poles ,do you still have one for sale .if you do how much because I would like to place one in the garden outside my flat to photograph all the birds that come down to feed like long tail tits jays all the tit family's and the dunks and a verity of over birds thank you from paul
Hi Psul, No sorry. We tried selling them, but demand was too low and we gave up. Butteo hides I highly recommend. There is a link in the description of all my reccent videos or Google Buteo hides.

Brilliant, yet again, Mike
Great video Mike
Lovely shots and some useful tips, thank you!
Another informative and well presented video. Very many thanks for sharing once more.
Awesome photos, as always..
Wonderful content! As for the TCx2.0 use. I could see some haze in the footage. Was it atmospheric haze or does the TC introduce it?
Extenders do not cause haze.
Very nice video. Love the shots! I very much appreciate the straight talk about what the camera can and cannot do (i.e. you still need skills)
Stunning Photos I'm using the Olympus E-M 1 Mark 2 loving it but not got photos of this Quality yet Thanks for sharing
Hello new friend ,i am watching full to make connected , thanks you
Super video Mike and some great images , where was the cliff top you were visiting ?
I can't give the location of a Peregrine site on a public forum. Sorry.

@@mikkelstormhansen9733 I would agree with the above. It is rare to do flight shots with a single foucs point.
Hi Mike, do you have any exposure comp on these shots (BIF)?
When against a blue sky no. Against a white sky yes, but I might stop taking pictures with a white sky.
@@MikeLaneFRPS not me if it’s an Eagle 😎😎

Wide focus area with bird tracking. Level 1 for sensitivity

It’s a Plucking Post
I really like your videos, long-lasting interaction registration💖:-)😍
