Love that we get to look back on this awesome holiday together for years to come. Thanks for doing all the hard work while I just come along for the ride! 😅
Looking forward to this...being an ex-Hobart boy (left nearly 37 years ago...) and hoping to do a similar trip (albeit from Wollongong) one day, am eager to see your highlights...thank you for sharing...
It's such a great experience. You'd love it. I'm so glad we plucked up the courage to actually do it. The roads in Tassie are fantastic and the scenery is just incredible.
Thank you!! All the best for your recovery. It would suck not being able to get on the bike. Lucky for you... part 2 is already out! 😁 th-cam.com/video/NG9LFFYNySE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FX6C55LSIsuLPiUn
Love it guys. What a great start to an epic journey. Cant wait to see more. I remember "the Flies" at the Parks dish were so thick and sticky you couldn't escape them on my last visit there. Keep the vids coming.
Thanks Ian. 🙂 Damn flies! We pulled over to have a quick break between Lake Broadwater and Moree and the flies were insane. We had to just get straight back on the bikes and high tail it out of there! It must be too cold in Tassie for flies... bees on the other hand.....
Thanks for watching 😊 I'm looking forward to the Conondale rally. It'll be a nice chill weekend. (Also... part 2 is finished and ready to watch... in case you missed it)
Thanks! We've tried out alot of stuff over the years but what we have now works for us. I was initially a little apprehensive about taking the 2 stretcher tents on such a long trip (14kg each) but they were awesome. So comfy. And the esky on the back was a game changer!! Good times! And thanks for watching 😊
What an epic journey for the both of you, seasoned travellers now! i"m glad you are back in one piece. I hope you are going to Conondale, I would love to catch up.
Thanks Papa Smurf! It was frikkin awesome hey. Can't wait to do another long ride like that. Planning to go to both Connondale and Maidenwell. 🙂 Lots of stories to tell
4 hrs to Dubbo from Hervey Bay, that'll be a quick run 🤣😂. Bloody epic start to an epic journey. I also carry a Personal Location Beacon, ya never know. Good to see you did the trip in small digestible chucks, no big long haul days. That makes the trip pleasant. That was marvellous, looking forward to the next part. Ride well. Cheers
Thanks heaps Moz. It was definitely a little daunting at the beginning... but small chucks each day was the key. In the end we just relaxed and really got into the swing of things. Awesome experience. Can't wait to show you the next vid 😊
Big Bert sent me to your channel.. love the camp beds, and the gear you guys have, would love to see how you pack all your gear, Sorry we missed you down hear(Tas). Hope you have a great trip in Tas… will keep an eye on you guys as you travel this great country 🥰
Big Bert is a top bloke. So glad to have caught up with him. Thanks for coming to che k it out. I love the stretcher tents too. Super comfy. I'll probs do a video about our set up after the Tassie vids are finished I reckon
You'll love it. It's great being on the road for an extended amount of time and super satisfying when you look at the map and see how far you've gone. Tassie was awesome 👌
I’m from the bay but now live 2 hours out west from dalby . It’s my dream to travel on my bike but after an hour my back and neck can’t handle it. It’s good watching video’s like this.
Oooo a local... kinda. Haha! Thanks for watching 😊 What a shame you get neck/ back pain. What bike do you ride? Perhaps there's an option out there for you... a mod or something to help change your seated position so it's less painful on your body?? 🤞
Gooday VS Chick, and Rebel Rider. so far neat video. going all the way down country, pretty darn neat. how is the Rebel handling with all the gear on back?(being a 500 compared to the 750) i would have liked seeing more country, but it's the trip, not a viewer tour. I had to laugh at the bird mess, i mean, the amount, that was one big bird. oh yeah, the park pet also, if you stay there you have to pick up their pet's poop. LOL. OK, looking for the Tasmania part, the ferry ride would be neat. until next time, be safe.
Thanks David! We had an absolute blast! Both bikes handled it awesomely. The rebel carried a little less as I had both stretcher tents on the Vulcan. It was a great ride. Can't wait to show you the next vid
Thanks Tazy. 🙂 We saw Big Bert down there and he said you lived near Penguin? Damn we loved that place!! Such a cool vibe. You're livin the dream mate!
Yeah I'll do that in a future video I reckon. It took us a while to get it sorted but we're really happy with it now. There was only one thing we didn't end up using on the trip... which was the collapsible sink.

Yeah its still hard to believe we actually did it hey. Go us!! (Totally happy for you to edit the next video??!)

@@TheVSChick...and both bikes did well?? Have travelled most roads back home but not on bike, so that's the thing I'm looking forward to.
Yep the bikes did really well. We just did the basic maintenance throughout the trip with no major issues.
Great first part of the trip guys. Loving this. Cant wait for more
Thanks Rob. It's just a shame I couldn't do it in a couple of weeks when the gang is heading down there.
You guys are going to dig that trip like a thorough bred pool pony. Great to watch.
Haha no idea what that means but I'm all for it! Haha
@@TheVSChick you don't remember the old Aussie ads from 10 or so years ago about thorough bred pool ponies?
I dont but I'm totally going to do some research now. I'm intrigued lol

Love the esky top box!
Honestly it was my favourite addition to the camping set up. Such a life saver! Wish I had of done it sooner. Thanks for watching 😊
Looks like you had a ball. Rain events and chook poo just add to the adventures. Loved the ‘out take’.
Looking forward to the next
Haha yeah it's all good fun isn't it. Still can't get over how massive that bird poo was though. Haha
Looks like an awesome trip can’t wait for the rest of the videos and catch up at conondale
