MY DAUGHTER will get this sent to her….modest beautiful intelligent…..no raptor nails no baby bands no caterpillars on their eyes…..THIS IS REFRESHING…..there’s hope
You sound sad and hopefully this energy in your comment isn’t felt by your child. I say that because this image is just one moment in a whole life for the hosts of this podcast. Their real lives most likely include the fun make up and and nail art etc. What is indecent or unintelligent about fun styles for young people? Parents like you really disappoint me with your comparisons and arbitrary hate for silly things. Let creative people be. Ps. I agree hat these ladies are well groomed. Let’s praise that and keep moving.
I teach American Literature, and I can say the slave narratives are easily available. I always include them in my classes. I will check out Hustlin’ Backward.
Thanks for taking the time to comment! What are your favorite slave narratives that you go through with students in the class? We would love to add some to our library! I think I have Olaudah Equiano, Phyllis Wheatley‘s poems, and maybe one more female narrative but I can’t remember her name, and then of course Frederick Douglas. And please let us know what you think about Hustlin’ Backward! ✌🏽❤️🪮
A lot of what you both were talking about in reference to the successors giving the history. Is equivalent to what Adolf Hitler said when he said. "That the worst thing you can do is allow the victims to tell their narrative."
Hair Grease! Loved this episode, ladies. Missed the first chapter. I'll try to swing back and watch it. The only hope for change we have is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14. How God chooses to implement change, such as through prophets, leadership, revival, etc. we would only realize after the fact. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is the key.
Beautiful generation of authentic spirits and great minds! Title of this book "Hustlin' Backward" is actually a lyrical slang heard in Melvin Bliss's 1973 song "Synthetic Substitution." Very interesting conversation, ladies!
Shalom sisters!!! All praises to the most high God🎉 I want to know were do y'all get your skirts!!!! In the name of Jesus 🙏🏽 I hope y'all see this 🫶🏽 peace and blessings
Thank you for another stimulating discussion. FYI, none of the issues you mentioned can be solved with our current state of Christianity. Christianity in America is broken. When we have politicians calling themselves Christians while telling lies, assaulting women and girls, demonizing immigrants, blocking health care for the poor trying to end social security for seniors, and doing the bidding of Russia, there is no Christianity in these behaviors. We need people to start living the words of the gospels. BTW, I recommend you take a close look at my Alma maters in your search for colleges that will make you a better person, McGill University, Montreal Canada, University of Notre Dame. Best wishes to you all.
I went to a HBCU it has its pro bc I did learn more about my culture’s contributions but I also got accepted the lie of Black Power. Overall I did learn and appreciated my HBCU experience
Wonderful discussion on such a complex topic, ladies. It is a honor to know that you both, alongside, others are producing works such as Hustlin' Backward that cause us to question the "system", and how it applies to us both practically and impractically. It is also an honor to witness you both come into your own each week, before our eyes, and bear witness to how such works shape your individual pespectives on education, race, and class. Thank you for working toward making such topics the standard for our communities. You are on to something special with these podcasts. Upward and onward to 100,000 subscribers. Peace, love, and hairgrease.
I like to salute and thank you young ladies for keeping your body fully covered. This new generation is lost and deteriorating fast. Keep setting good examples and putting our good information.
I would love to hear your opinion or your reaction to Jane Elliott & her teaching of "Blue Eyes & Brown Eyes" New Watcher...will probably subscribe. PL&HG ✊🏿
I love that these young ladies are breathing life into a people that the white colonial system has been trying to desecrate and demonize for centuries. To the persecutor; equality, feels life oppression.
Love you ladies! Please list any of the books you mention during the podcast. I would love to read them. For example, you mentioned "Black AF History". Is that the full title? Thank you so much!❤
Haven't listened to a video yet, but when I saw how you were dressed I subscribed. Please, please don't be woke or the predominate, mainstream narrative.
Very intelligent podcasts. Your personalities definitely make it an interesting watch. I just dont get the long dresses tho. You both realize we are in the 21st century right.😊
The thing I love about these ladies is this! They are being themselves and not ashamed nor apologetic. It's honestly inspiring to someone like me who has been wanting to do so but is afraid of how people will view me and say... But ladies like this remind me to just be free

What kind of camera do y’all use? Love y’all’s videos ❤
We recently got a Sony FX 30, which we use in pretty much every podcast shoot that we do now.
What do you mean by prophetic voice? Which prophetic voices have been silenced?
Where is it mentioned that Dr. king said it was a nightmare or something along that line ?
Malcom X said it
Dr king said it to a NBC news correspondent in 1967

I'm curious as to the dress code of these young women.
Are they part of a religious order? It's refreshing to see either way.
