In MILLI’s interview “The idea for the song came up during one of our online meetings with 88rising. They wanted us to make a track that represents Thailand so we settled on mango sticky rice, which is my favourite dessert. Sticky rice also symbolises the bond between me and my family because we always stick together,” she explains.
“When I pitched the idea of eating it during my performance, they thought I was joking at first. Then they were like, ‘It’s your own show, you do you.’”
When she was in the States, She wrote this song in one day and go make the song to perform at Coachella.

Please consider that mangoes in Thailand is totally different from mangoes you buy in the US (mostly from south America).
Thai mangoes is unique in term of taste, scent , texture.
Try the authentic one before judging it. !!

Correct. I lived in the US 10 years a go. I cant stand mongo there epecially the scent is horrible.

I'm from Indonesia, in my country there're lots of types of mangoes here, but the one from Thailand is on another level, it's super sweet and so so so good. It's one of my most favorite mangoes
Most fruit in tropics are better than what you get elsewhere in the world.
We have year round fruit in the west where in other places it is seasonal and fresh not exported in bulk and not grown naturally.
I rarely eat fruit but the few times I visited Thailand I lived on fruit as it was so juicy and full of flavour

There are many varieties of mangoes in thailand. Not all can make 'Mango sticky rice', but many varieties can do. I prefer 'Ohk-Rong' (อกร่อง) is the best variety for 'Mango sticky rice'.
