    [Synopsis]
In this video, I configure, and run the XM6 Pro 68k emulator. This computer game out in 1987, and it used the popular Motorola 68000 cpu. It was designed to be a computer to run arcade quality games, but there PC titles released for this computer. I did see Sharp X68000 computers back in the early 1990s in a store that sold imported Japanese video game consoles and computers. When I saw one, it was expensive, because it was imported. It looks like a modern desktop tower computer at a time when computers looked like IBM PCs where the case was laid horizontally, but this computer's case was laid vertically which was a novelty back then.
The Sharp X68000 came with two floppy disk drives, it could be two 5.25" or two 3.5" fdds. Later models came with 20 MB to 80 MB SCSI hard drives. Later models came with 4 MBs of ram, and a faster Motorola MC68EC030 processor clocked at 25 Mhz. The Sharp X68000 series wasn't supported in 1996, but the last production united were produced in May of 1993 in the form of the Sharp X68030. The Sharp X68000 series wasn't IBM compatible PC, it was its own platform, like the Commodore Amiga, Tandy 1000 series, NEC PC-98, Apple Macintosh, or Fujitsu FM Towns computers. There was only one independent platform that survived the turbulent mid 1990s computer market, like the Apple Mac. Even Apple was having a very difficult time in the mid to late 1990s. Never the less, Apple managed to survive, and all the other platforms went away. In some cases, the entire company went away as was the case for Commodore Amiga in 1994. Other companies, like Fujitsu, NEC, and Sharp stopped producing computers. Companies, like Tandy made their computers into IBM clones, and they simply faded away as a brand.
