Midge Ure-what a talent. His list of bands played in is itself amazing. Teeny pop, Rock, Electronica. He's done the lot, yet remains humble and hardworking. Can't help but admire the man. GO MIDGE.☆☆
Amazing...I had a bad youth...was outside alone at night for many times...coz I had to break out...and always the songs from Ultravox where with me...wow, thanks
Amazing! Two decades later and Midge's voice is still young and amazing! I love Ultravox, I started listening to them in the 1980s, along with Depeche Mode and other bands.
I have been a huge fan of Ultravox since 1981-2. I was lucky to see them play in Liverpool when I was visiting family. By far it was the highlight of the trip. I did a drama presentation in my senior year in school to "Visions In Blue" Not only did I get a perfect A+, I also got a standing ovation. Best part my entire class went to the record store and bought the album. BTW**there was no such thing as a C.D. PLAYER or IPod back then. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. CHECKING THESE TUNES OUT.
Such a diverse band in its sound and vision. I can only imagine what it must have been like to witness this live at full concert volume. Such a great band! Midge is a great musician.
Rage In Eden/Quartet/Lament......the perfect HAT-TRICK of U-VOX era......wtout Hymn this it was the most best track from Quartet in my personal opinion......so,after Rage In Eden it was not easy make a new good and awww album!!!Nice memories from U-VOX Tour in Italy, and so sad to know the dissolution of the Band/Group......at last i wish say how is FANTASTIC Midge Voice!!!!🔝🔝💯💯💯🎸🎹👏👍🎤🎻
gives me goosebumps watching Midge extremely Rare ( never....? ) doing Visions in Blue & hitting his High Note in the Beginning...? What a treat he rarely does it because he has to save / conserve his unique Amazing Voice...? Thanks Sir Midge Ure / Ultravox for one more time...? After 25 Years or longer Break with all four Original 79 - 85 Band Members
Damn it. I’m gonna sound like an old geezer, but here goes: they just don’t write songs like this anymore. So beautiful. I’m glad I was young in the 80’s...
You and me both my friend. I spent my formative years in the 80'.....namely 1981 to 1989...and I do not regret a single moment..And by the way I am 54 years old and I say is long live the 80's
for me music is meant to provoke an emotional response. Midge, Jim kerr and others Depeche mode etc were experts. This tune is just wonderful RIP Steve strange
When I lie on my deathbed I want 2 songs....visions in blue and Lord of the Rings...Gandalf v |Balrog in its entirety from the lowest point to the highest mountain peak..at least I will die with honor
you must be very young because Vince Clark is a Legend in his own so no comparison needed influence came from Kraftwerk & Germany"s Krautrock movements 1971-1983 incl.NDW befor British New Wave Synthi Style music Explodet around 78 - 85...? Thanks to Ultravox/Midge Ure/Billy Currie/John Foxx/Gary Numan & Visage...
@@andik8570 I believe Vince was influenced by OMD, so... OMD was the real influence on British synth pop. But they were highly influenced by Kraftwerk, so in the end, everything comes down to those German lads
This is one of the most incredible songs ever written. Period.

VIlken låt! Den sticker fortfarande ut med sin starka atmosfär.
Sheer brilliance
What this song does to me...probably isn't appropriate to describe in an open forum. I'll just say, they've still got it...
I miei Ultravox ❤

Excelente tema del recuerdo!!
Prachtig.
To all the so called artists in the charts these days, this is how you make music period.
i hope i look as good as midge when my time comes
Another song with this kind of deepness is on the u-vox album from '96 and it's called: all in one day.
U-Vox Album = 1986 but without Drummer Warren Cann not 1996 ?
wunderschöne Bilder im Kopf

This song is still awesome; Midge Ure sounds a lot like Scott Walker...
agreed
Beautiful synth-music with a lead singer that can 'SING'...
Mooi fhil you to
Mooi zeg Phil collins
I'll wager the lads from Erasure were quite influenced by this band.
