Sad day for India....am ashamed to be a citizen under this Government......the PM is supposed to be like a father figure for all of us, regardless of our affiliations.......could he not have intervened to save a life ? No empathy at all. Shame! Shame!

Very True!!! May His Soul Rest in Peace
Yes🥺
It's tragic that a majority of Indians are silent spectators to the socio-economic injustice and the catastrophic political situation in our country!
Rev.Fr.StanSwamy is a shining insignia that all of us need to emulate.
An excellent summary of the crime against Father, brought forth here by Ms.Faye D'souza.
The country failed you, Fr. Stan. Hope you're resting in peace.
Thank you Faye D'Souza and team. Fr Stan would have appreciated the quiet dignity with which you have shared his journey. The catch in your voice when you said "Fr Stan is finally free", God bless you for that.
There are still in jail arrested n torture who fought for the rights. A deaf ear by the judiciary n government
Lord save India from this horror !
Fr. Stan died a martyer, he fought for justice for the poor and the most vulnerable in our society, his legacy will be in our hearts forever. He will be greatly missed in this world.
"“Power will go to the hands of rascals, rogues, freebooters; all Indian leaders will be of low calibre & men of straw. They will have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air and water would be taxed in India.”
Winston Churchill was prophetic.
@@binuvarghese4667 actually, it is said that he never said it. 😶

Winston Churchill on Indian independence - From Snopes, the World’s mythbusting HQ.
Thanks to Snopes, I could locate a speech that Churchill made in the British Parliament House of Commons on March 6, 1947, as part of a discussion the topic of Indian independence. The entire discussion is available in the Archives of the British Parliament. It is quite voluminous and runs into about 100 pages or so. I am here reproducing two paragraphs of his speech below, the ones that seemed to prompt the origin of the “prophecy”.

Irony: Criminals in Parliament
Innocents in Jail
Criminals in Parliament or enjoying in foreign BARS under GOI good will.
Oh. Stan Swamy a Maoist sympathisers and terror accused is innocent for you? chu------
@@krithiiyer5178 the GOI who is very much interested in cleaning up all the last vestiges of the British colonialism is using the very laws on sedition that prisoned Gandhi, Tilak and others is using now to silence critics of the government. So Mr. Bala if Gandhi and others were alive today, they too would have been in jail for the same reason why Fr. Stan and others are now.
Which is better to be a sympathizer of adivasis not only educating them about the cause of poverty but also exposing the villains behind this poverty and their sufferings?
OR
Criminals in our Parliament on BAIL rather than BEHIND BARS for horrible crimes against humanity and those who are now enjoying in FOREIGN BARS.
If GOI is not a tyrant, then why these Elderlies consisting of lawyers, intelectuals are not subjected to speedy trials? The very fact that conviction is not even 2.5 percent shows that the law is misused to SILENCE DISSENT, which according to the Apex Court "DISSENT IS THE SAFETY VALVE " for the proper functioning of our democratic institutions.
He lived life for others until his death. May his saul rest in peace.
May his soul rest in peace
Almighty God is watching over this injustice and will act on it at the right time where no one can escape from his judgement.
I don't understand where is Republic news of Arnub Swamy, who told that he fight for the truth, why no one fight for Fr Stan Swamy, just because he
is a Christian priest,
It's shocking to hear father Stan Sammy had go through such terrible situation in the jail , Indian investigative agency or judiciary Did not provide justice to Stan Sammy .70% people are languishing under trial without producing in courts .
"Stan swamy is free" made me cry.
Thanks Faye for Wonderfully summing up the live events of Rev Fr Stan Swamy. Dear Father, please pray for the people in India for humanity 🙏
Faye im sad you never covered him specifically all this time, only now after his death... why so late? He needed more coverage while he was alive. Please reply. :(
Oh my god. This government can't go on. Ruthless. Why can his supporters see this?????
Supporters have been brainwashed with high-octane nationalism where minorities are criminal before due process of law is followed. It's the slow death of India as we know it. Welcome to New India.
@@anthonygibson5561 Not only minorities, anyone with a rational mind and speaking up for the very essence and democracy of the country are anti national for them....
I agree Rituraj but if you are on the wrong side of religion then it's truly lot worse for you. Remember PM comparing Gujarat Muslim victims to puppies meeting with car accident.. That's the mindset towards minorities.
Because they're brainwashed, spineless and have not an iota of integrity nor decency! Woe betide the perpetrators.....

Wow Faye, in 10 minutes beautifully expressed the whole story 👏 😍
Thank you Faye. Please cover Bhima Koregaon and the falsehood of it in detail now. There are many still who can use coverage by press before they perish. General public still needs to be educated on the truth of it. In AMAs you have been requested earlier and said you would, but then you didnt. (Sorry if you did and I missed it)
Naman to father Stan, an activist who was the voice of the marginalized who couldn't defend or voice the
injustice and tribulations for themselves. Haam sharminda hain at our helplessness to protect our senior activist against immoral Gov't personnels and the Judiciary.

MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD BLESS HIS SOUL TO BECOME A SAINT 👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏
You have given the the complete picture in a nutshell. It's very heartening to listen to your last words as well as his words. It means still there are some people who can fight for justice.
Great.
Thank you for bringing this
Apparently he was a fighter not a silent spectator...
Rest in Peace dearest Father. Stan Swamy!
Excellent summarization!
Moved to tears by the whole story. Well presented! What is happening to our country?
This death should be registered as murder by NIA and the jail authorities.
Surely Fr Stan will send some blessings to us from heaven above sooon !!!His soul is free n rejoicing with the Lord !
Sometimes one is forced to wonder if the legal system is geared to dispensing justice .... or they just interprete the legal language of the law ..
That is a deep, perceptive and thought provoking comment. Perhaps the root of the problem. The letter ... but the spirit is missing
Thanks Faye, for an excellent summary about Fr. Stan Swamy, Hoping that many of us, me included, stop being silent spectators. One caged bird can no longer sing but now millions of us need to join the chorus so that whoever is promoting inhumanity and injustice is removed from power in a legal and democratic process
“Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord”. (Romans 12:19)
Thank you Faye, for the tribute in whatever little way possible, for the valiant hero of our time, albeit an un-sung hero he was. What a courageous fighter he was! Till last breath he stood up for truth and justice, stood up for the poor and the marginalized. He paid the price for being what he was. He lived a hero and died a hero. RIP Father Stan. Your martyrdom will not go in vain
Someone needs to do a story about all these institutions, NIA, RBI, CBI, etc.. we don’t know who these people are.. to whom they owe allegiance to, how did they come into those positions etc. We need a hell a lot of investigative journalists today than ever.
Only then can we get a clear picture of what it is that we are dealing with in the first place.
The latest case in point....who is the latest CEC, how was he plucked into that position?
A crying need persists for exposure of these institutions...
He stayed true to his call and convictions 🙏
Normally courts take up sou motto cases why not in this case ? Should ring a bell
Someone powerful rich wanted the trials voice be silenced.
