Love the hobbit cape colors. The dark purply blue color looks a bit like the pantone color of the year for 2022, a medium dark muted periwinkle. Was thinking about you and your family, and the U.N., when I read about the nationwide power outage. Glad it's over now!

I just love the podcasts! Always nice to see the evolution of your work! Makes me feel not so bad about frogging 3/4 of a blanket, twice! I like hats that cover my ears. It is also hard to choose a color palette for the cape as they are both beautiful. But, I am like you and don’t really wear the bolder colors, so I would pick the “earthy” color palette. So interesting- the second yarn choices on my iPhone show as 2 totally gorg shades of purples - 1 lilac and 1 semi-dark smoky purple- then two fab shades of brownish and the fifth choice comes out as a phenomenal green !!! Love love love the look Kiddo !

Oh those colors are really beautiful the muted colors are earthy and soft. The other colors are not loud but they look light and springy you could have both and let your mood dictate. An idea for another time. You could use the granny Ruth blanket stitch you make a large rectangle cocoon shrug fringe and all. That could be a really cute snuggly jacket. I saw one with fringe and it really added something. Love ya

Christa I LOVE the colours in the loud & proud one, but too busy for me with changing colours every row. I reckon if you had thicker sections of each colour transitioning from similar colours through it would look really lovely!?! I love the colours in the muted one too & would be more likely to wear that if both were in single rows of colour. The addition of the green was genius & I like that the colour changes aren't predictable! I've never liked wearing beanies even when I'm super cold.... wish I did! Cute touque but please don’t shorten it!! If anything make it longer so you can fold it over for a brim, (it’s cold in Canada) those are so hard to find. The darker cape is nicer in my opinion. I like that there is no pattern for the colours I think it would also be fun if you switched up the stitches , like add some popcorn or window rows etc. that would be a fun CAL and I totally can see the claps you are talking about but have no idea where you would get one.
