do be warned he's lip syncing. I sat front row in 2017 and he's just mouthing along. The only time I heard sound from him was during bits of banter during and between songs...that said , the four backup singers are 100% singing live.
Taking our daughter to the concert in 2020. She loves his songs and music and well she is 15 years... we did good with introducing her to all kinds of music
Its amazing, he is singing with guys who are 50 years younger then him. So glad Jersey Boys inspired the younger generation to keep this his great music alive. Rock on Frankie love you!!
I saw Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in the early 60's at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Their big hit at the time way Sherri. What a class act. He is 85 and still takes the time to meet and greet all of those who attend his concert. Love this man. He is one of the many soundtracks of my life and an example of what it really means to be a man. Thank you Frankie Valli. Love every song forever!
He still has it! How many singers can we say that is right on the money at his age? God gave that man a gift and a God send a gift. I love you Francis all my love. Wish I could sit down with you and talk about life. My heart is with u. I know I could learn about life from you Don't knew if you will ever, see this, but it's all good. I love you anyway
Thanks be to GOD for the gift of MUSIC.Thanks Frankie Valli and your Company. May GOD will bless YOU all, will bless you more ...more years to your life/lives and more life to your years. And to GOD be all the glory.
How is that possible. To be his age and sing as much as he has and still sounds every bit as good as he did as a young man. What a gift. And thankyou sir for sharing that gift with us all. I truly appreciate all that you have done, amazing.
Hey Frankie, you brought it then, and you're still bringing it dude, a little slower, but ain't we all. Man, we Loved then, We Love Ya Now, THANKS Frankie for all the memories.
I grew up listening to his hits since the 80's and to see him alive and still well and singing is a true gift from up above. this man definitely has the talent and voice still in him. you rock Frankie Valli keep the music coming
He's able to hold his own still. (85 yrs young here). He really can do it still. These were huge hits for him/them but for me I love their hits from the 70's and 80's like "Who's Gonna Love you?", "Oh What A Night" (December 1963) and "Grease" to name a few. What a career! Music needs to come full circle again and we need singing and groups doing actual songs that have hooks we can sing with and love songs we can relate to!
it's great to know that Frankie and the band were still touring in 2019. It's December 23, 2021, and they sounded great to me, just like they did in the 60s. Thanks for the live video clip. I am still a fan of The Four Seasons
WOW!!!! Thank you very much for posting this excellent concert by Valli and Seasons. This man is a living legend and has led one of the most successful American bands. Over 40 top 40 hits, 20 top ten and 7 number 1’s thanks again!!!!
Beautifullyyyy done... LOVE ME SOOOOOME FRANKIE VALLI... ALTHOUHH HE WAS DEFINITELY BEFORE MY TIME... THE MANS RANGE IS INCREDIBLE LET ALONE I LOVE THAT BLUE EYED SOUL!!!
I saw The Four Seasons back in the mid-sixties at the Garret Coliseum in Montgomery, Alabama at the "BIG BAM SHOW" ( WBAM, 740 AM, 50,000 Watts Of Power!) along with Lou Christi, Roy Orbison, Leslie Gore, and many others. Great times!
I seen him in I believe 2015, might of been 2016 and he was 100% singing live. Not singing over a recording like this BUT he's in his mid 80's and can still hang. He's unbelievable and his longevity its unmatched. To still sound similar after 6+ decades of touring is absolutely mind boggling.
I don't know if he is lip syncing or just singing along with a light recording or auto tuned. But I will say this -- if he is singing this live without any aids he is a freak of nature. I don't know of any other 85 year old singer, and there are a few of them out there, who is able to sound that good. I would say that there are points of his performance that certainly do sound live -- different nuances and inflections.
None of this is lip synching. I have been to 8 of Frankie Valli's shows this year (Detroit, Phoenix, New Buffalo, Las Vegas, Medford, Minneapolis, Green Bay, and Rosemont... and will see him in Washington this week) and this is all really him singing. 85 years old and he still has got it.
The 2nd Verse of Sherry sounds live! Like for real! Like it doesn't sound like the normal track that I've heard for the past 6 years. This makes me ecstatic. I really don't have a problem if he lip syncs, but it's amazing to hear him actually sing and it's true that he really sounds fantastic!
@@joelow4517 No I wouldn't. I'm seeing him in April. I don't care if he lipsyncs or not. That's still Frankie Valli. The real deal. He is the legend. So for me it's worth it just to get to see him in person.
Where was this? We saw them last week in Huntsville AL. They were amazing! I would definitely go back again. Frankie Valli did great! Thanks so much for posting this!
Definitely a lot of lip syncing but he's 85 so good for him still being out on stage and touring. It's not anything different that the much younger "singers" of today all do in concert.
A performer of this caliber doesn't have to twerk, rub his rear end on people, grab his crotch or jump around acting like a fool. They stand and sing with such talent and emotion that they can bring up memories from your past, the good memories along with the bad. Not everyone has the ability to appreciate their talent. Young people of today listening to garbage like rap will never understand. Too bad.
I love hip hop. Music doesn’t always have to tell a story, sometimes people just wanna listen to what sounds good. But even in hip hop a lot of rap does tell stories, people are just too ignorant to listen. I love rap, soul, doo wop, classic rock, country, reggae, etc. don’t stereotype people just for enjoying rap
First saw them in 72 & many times into the early 80's. Always good. For the record (no pun intended)on the 60's hits the 45 read "The 4 Seasons featuring the sound of Frankie Valli'. Albums read 'The 4 Seasons'. In the mid 70's they had more hits & the group were under contract to Warner Bros. Their hits 'Oh What a Night' & 'Who Loves You' were by The Four Seasons. Solo hits (My Eyes Adored You, Our Day Will Come, etc.) were Frankie Valli under a different label. Their albums/singles were never Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons except for 1 album under Motown 1972.
What's this about lip syncing? If true, that's OK. After all, the guy is 85! But as someone said, this is the REAL FRANKIE VALLI. And if he's lip syncing, he's lip syncing his own voice, so hats off to him! Will see him in DC tomorrow night...yay!
We found out at the last minute that he had cancelled his Oct 24th at UPAC. After watching this, I think we are not going to the rescheduled event. I'm sorry because I grew up with his music and his 4 seasons. Then again if it were in the Spring rather then March, maybe we'd consider itjust to hear the back up singers but weather can be harsh that time of year.
@andrew5184 Sadly not. It's heavily digitally treated recording from later in his career. His mic has an on/off thumb switch for when he wants to talk in between lines or songs. It's possible he may sing the odd low-register bit here and there but it's mostly lip sync. Too much evidence online.
I don't think he's lip syncing at all he doesn't need the money and what good is performing if he's going to get out there and just move his lips and not just that you can hear a little bit of his voice being older but still perfect but I like how some people that think he is lip syncing still gave him a pass good for you guys cuz there's too many haters out there and I haven't found any here bravo Footnote when he speaks he sounds the same as he did all the years ago there's no reason why his singing wouldn't be the same
