I love the attention to detail that ER had. My grandmother was a nurse and she always wore her watch with the face turned to the inside of her wrist. It made it easier for her when taking pulses, she told us when we asked. If you look at the last scene, when Carter is sitting next to Chase's bed, you can see that his watch is turned in as well. Just small things like that, but it's stuff people notice. This is why ER was so great. Attention to detail :)
Benton around 3:00 is so heartbreaking. How they showed how this tough guy could get so overwhelmed by emotions was so powerful. Kudos to LaSalle! It was one of the most surprising powerful memorable scenes for Benton ever. Really awesome compilation here! Thanks for uploading it! I wish there could be a 10 stars rating! Quite a few scenes I really loved but I had forgotten about. They gave me goosebumps and teary eyes again.
The most heartbreaking thing was when Dr. Benton’s nephew passed away and he made the slow walk to the waiting room - no words uttered and the mother of the kid let out a blood-curdling wail as she saw all the blood on Benton’s scrubs. 😢 That one hurt.
Whenever Carter cries, I want to cry too! My favorite moment is 9:20. I think the way that Anna comforts him is exactly the right way and how he did need her touch.
Because a patient of him died. The woman was in labor, and he missed something, she had a complication. He tried to save her but he couldn't, he feels sorry about that and of course he feels guilty.
at 5:37 i was so mad. I saw this when it aired and when Mark did the whole "catch the girl" thing and professed his undying love for her and she still left, I was like "SUSAN, YOU IDIOT!" I liked Elizabeth but I would much rather have had Mark and Susan be together and Susan be the one around for Rachel after Mark died later or something.
It was only a random patient with end stage of the AIDS virus. This episode was right after he lost his mother and he was just remembering her as the patient was dying.
Actually Jeanie's affair with Benton wasn't the lone cause of her divorce from Al. Their marriage had been rocky for a while. Al constantly cheated on her and they both ended up HIV + because of his infidelity. Jeanie carried a lot of bitterness toward him for that, but finally made peace with him and they attempted to reconcile. But Al lost his job due to his HIV status and took another job in ATL. Jeanie wouldn't relocate with him and they finally parted ways for good.

The last clip where Carter is kinda holding it together, but when she touches his arm, all the emotion slips out for just a few seconds. Great acting.
I cry whenever Carter cries too! Noah Wyle is such a good actor!

9:17 Noah’s acting there was so on point 🙂👏🏻👏🏻
Tries not to let his vulnerability show until he feels Anna (Maria) touch his back ❤

@faryny I cried when he cried. His emotions just reached through the screen. He was truly heroic in this episode, even if he didn't believe it.
aww Carter. I luff him. But Dennis fine! He moved to New Jersey and works for Dr. House now! ;)
1:12 was from probably one of the hardest episodes of er to watch
It was at the end of a very hectic episode, where he misdiagnosed a women in labor, worked very hard to save her, but she died..
Susan talking about little Susie makes me cry.
thank you very much :)
Her niece Susy was taken back from her by Susans sister Chloe, and that doll was from Susy ;)
Yep, it was the episode Love's labor lost ;)
yes noah is
Why did susan leave that doll in the church? What happened?

Forgot Maria Bello was on this show.
Who is Dr.Benton sitting with in the emergency room. I believe the person on the gurney has passed away.
