I had Seizures until 14 years old I grew out of them but now have had two post concussion head injuries that have given me life long migraines so I am on medication for that the Imitrex injection and caffeine pills topamax 150 2 a day lyrica 200 2 day it is truly a horrible thing to have to put pills to live but it is what it is and then I also have a new heart problem probably my whole life didn’t have any clue but life experience can make us or break us or regardless of what we can’t change just like mark we move into what we can change and help

This storyline was devastating. Tony played Greene so well, hard not to empathise with the loss. Watch him in the early years, he was so committed and good at his job! Just sucks.

Seizures are incredibly scary. I suffered from them for years before I was rushed to the ER in winter 2010 and found out I had 3 benign tumours in my brain. I had to go through a ton of tests including repeated MRIs, a sleep deprived EEG, an 11 day in-patient study at Toronto Western Hospital and neuropsych testing before I could see the neurosurgeon and be approved for surgery. 2 weeks after that appointment I had brain surgery to remove the 2 tumours that were causing the problems. I've been on a bunch of medication (trial and error) to try and stop the seizures and now I am on Clobazam, Carbamazapine and Lamotrigine. Very high doses. I haven't had a seizure since April (fortunately) and I hope I won't have to have another one. They're horrible.

Annie Chen seizures are scary I had one in 2004 at 17 in November a week before Thanksgiving. I have been on medications ever since, I was in high school when had my seizure. I was actually home from school the day it happended as I was sick with one of the worst migraines I ever had. My mom called to check to see how I was and I was talking then quit mid sentence. She called 911 and rushed home and I was found on the floor at home by medical services and had bitten my tongue and had to give me cpr to get my heart going. If it wasn’t for my Mom calling probably wouldn’t be here today. I have been on Dilantin for medication but it was causing me problems with my liver count. I am on carbzembine the off brand of Tegretol currently after being on the tegretol for over 6 years. I am 32 almost 33 and do everything now to keep seizures at bay, I do not wish the condition on anyone as having can affect living and how do certain things even your memory.

But it got caught so early, plus my brother is a doctor so told me what to say to my GP in order to get admitted to hospital a week after my first seizure, (I was also living in the town with one of the best neuro departments in the country)... they lined the wound cavity in my brain with chemo wafers, then once they'd expired I had 6 weeks chemo and radiotherapy... Plus I had maybe 1000 Christians praying for me, if you believe in that thing. Like I say, miracle

As sad as it is in the end, this was one of my most favorite story lines on the show. I cried when Mark died , and the show really changed after he was gone. I know Anthony Edwards went on to direct and that is part of the reasons he left the show . In my opinion Mark was one of the strongest characters on the show and my favorite male cast member , with Carter behind him . My favorite female character was Corday, and behind her was Carla. I miss this show.

My daughter has seizures and there is no way you can just jump up after you wake up. You are confused for at least an hour afterwards and have a terrible headache.

He wouldn't be able to pull his arm to the side to do an iv. His arms would be locked. That's why they say don't try to hold us down because I've broken an arm before because someone tried to move my arm when I was seizing. I have Epilepsy.
@impasse0124 I'm sure 2 years later you know the answer to this, but no. :-) Oxygenation and ventilation are two different things and the latter is what affects your pH. 15 litres is also a reasonable amount for a patient who is emergently/resuscitatively ill (like having an active seizure).
He had it twice. The first time he had successful brain surgery and it went into remission but then it came back and the second time it was inoperable.
@@lucasdamottano, this scene is from the first tumor. They only thought it was inoperable, but they later got a second opinion from a neurosurgeon who agreed to operate on it. Then it came back the next season and they weren't able to operate at all the second time.

@@DianeJennings If someone is having a seizure you should put something like a jacket under their head or cup their head in your hands but you shouldn't try hold them still or pin them down. You should also put them on their side once the seizure end as they're less likely to inhale or choke on their saliva that way.
