Since most IG attacks have you locked in animation for a longer time, you have to choose your attacks carefully in a way that you can still roll through an incoming attack.
CantaPerMe well not for your videos, but i've seen people who have tried out bushido for the first time and managed to avoid every attack without even trying. it certainly gives the impression of being absolutely broken.
Good run. When do you think you could do speedkills of the Ferocious versions of monsters? I've found that these LV10 weapons completely steamroll through the regular 6-7 star monsters that aren't Ferocious. I'm just curious how much longer it would take to beat them.
+brightsuperstition Not sure if I will speedrun ferocious monsters. Most of them are just tankier versions of the regular monsters, so their fight won't be different from their regular versions.
This has nothing to do with the video but: i just had the CRAZIEST EXPIDITION EVER!! Listen: it said that the was a najarala to hunt down and with a treasure area.... so i went in and in the first area was nothing, besides some jaggi's... i started mining for the treasure and indeed got 2 shining charms, then all of the sudden the najarala appeared right below me and thus hitting me... i came for the treasure and the najarala and got the treasure so decided to attack the najarala.. when it fled i decided to go after it and when i got in his area a kut-ku appeared (funny becasue i fought this duo yesterday) so i slayed the najarala and i needed some kut ku parts anyways so slayed that one too..when i was carving the yian i saw in the background a nercylla appear... YES, A THIRD MONSTER WHILE THERE IS JUST 1 GIVEN!! I decided to slay that one too because the armour set is pretty good (skill-whise).. when i slayed it and started carving A GODDAMNED BASARIOS LANDED BEHIND ME!! And i had 1 more whetstone so decided to sharpen back up to white and attack (that thing still bounces it off, ffs) and i was on a killing spree anyways so decided to go after it... he was short lived... then in the next area i found a palico of the protection one and recruited it.. in the same area was also a poogie so got a new clothing for him... there were also some supplies there and i got a barrel bomb L from it and a barrel L, at the last part (at the end) i talked to the veggie elder and he gave me ANOTHER BARREL BOMB L! After that i didn't have any whetstones so decided to end it there...
So Im guessing there are some nifty new attacks for the IG (Seeing that neat whip around move you do bashing the Lagi with the blunt end of the IG) Do you know if the Gunlance in particular got anything new and as exciting as the IG ? :P Im a Gunlance fan because Im bad lol
Basically, MHX allows you to play a nearly insectless glave. I like it. Just like I like the idea of Air+hammer having access to a slightly-stronger version of the hammer uppercut.
+Mister Branches Nah, it's actually quite different, I'd recommend to watch a casual run of it to see what Lagiacrus is capable of in MHX, speedruns tend to make monsters look very easy.

I'm super excited for MHX and I really loved the Insect Glaive in MH4U, and I've been a little worried as of late because I really, really want to abuse the dodge mechanic of Bushido because I play really aggressively. My entire MH4U playstyle at the end game was using the Highest of Glaives, a paralysis weapon, to first get at least the red buff, then attempt to mount the monster until I succeeded, then getting the last buffs if necessary, then inevitably paralyzing the monster after my second combo, then hitting it more until it broke out, moving back, and repeating the entire process. I almost never hit a monster that's not helpless or a large monster with lots of parts to hit, like Najarala or most elder dragons, because it's just so easy to mount and immobilize monsters with my playstyle(this is why I never moved on from Highest of Glaives, a level 9 weapon that's not necessarily the best) and also because I feel like I never have enough time to do anything in most cases, especially against faster monsters, because the combos are long and much more effective if fully executed, and I'd love to be able to make use of the dodge ability of Bushido to help take advantage of monsters' moments of weakness better(and allow me to easily avoid that accursed tail swipe that Rathians use that inflicts the one element I loathe above all others, poison. It just leaves you so helpless as you're forced to throw your arms up in the air after downing a bottle of mysterious liquid you made from strange plants and possibly mushrooms that morning in order to cure a deadly venom coursing through your veins while a monster is running straight at you for the kill and you either have to decide to drink a health potion and risk the damage or attempt to dodge and use the invincibility frames. Oh yeah, please tell me MHX did something about that. Just lie to me if they didn't, I don't care. They could just give it a longer drinking animation, but no, it's "throw your arms in the air and give 'em a good flex" time and the same instant it's "I'm going to die a horrible, painful death and be dragged away by cats" time. I'm sorry, I just REALLY hate poison XD) and get more hits in during times I would otherwise be forced to stop everything and run away. Even if you don't answer, I loved this video and I thank you for giving me a good demonstration of how Insect Glaives with Bushido can work. It was really helpful :)
+David Bruder 1. In your room at the item box, you can change it whenever you feel like it while you're not on a quest. 2. For all styles, the art gauge fills as you hit the monster, striker style also fills the gauge if you get hit and bushido fills the gauge if you perform a perfect guard/evade 3. Kinsect and weapon are upgraded separately, which makes upgrading easier. Also, nectars don't decrase stats anymore, they only increase them.
Sketch Sheets It's probably that MHX has smaller field of vision than MH4U so the 'camera' is basically closer to the monster so it makes them look a bit bigger while their actual size has remained the same.
+Kari You have no direct control over your Kinsect except when you send it out and the attacks after the bushido evade isn't that great that it would justify using Bushido instead of Guild Style.

not really. lagiacrus just happens to be one of the monsters that are extremely weak against it
