I did one from Durban to Maputo a few years ago. Now I’m told there are taxis that offer such trips from Jhb to Maputo. Buses operate from Cape Town to Windhoek and other African cities. Learn a bit of a new language. Go with an open heart. uBuntu is alive. When in doubt (be mindful who and where you are) ask the locals. Blessings you all.

I live in Southern Arizona and the heat and landscape is very similar to that of SA heading to Namibia. In the summer we have to make sure our car tires are either new or well serviced otherwise the heat on the tarmac will shred them to pieces. Another awesome video from my favorite TH-camrs😊...

When an engine overheats, you don't switch it off, let it cool down whilst idling and then pour coolant or water when it's cool, it'll save your engine.

I am an air conditioner expert, i advise you to change the o rings on high & low side pipe.subarus have that common problem because of high temperatures on engine area.once you do the problem will be solved for about a year.thank you.

Use the car air con with temperature set between 20-22 degrees and it will be fine................... setting it at lowest temperature will damage system eventually because its working hard constantly.
For de sake of environment and de pocket, use AC only if u cant avoid it especially where fuel is dearer because it consumes extra fuel since de AC compresser needs to be powered, too! Still marvellous keeping track of your adventure, big up further on!

South Africa is a big country 1.2million km squared,almost as big as Tanzania and Uganda combined,to tour such a country i think it would be better to focus on the provinces and tour all of them to get a balanced impression of the country, Thanks for posting.

The problem is in South Africa we love SPEED and I am not familiar with Subaru that much. Here we prefer Audi, BMW and Merc. My car is VW Tiguan and one thing I know about it is that it is also aggressive on the road.
Again i notice the truck-trailers 🚛🚒 are 7 axle load configuration. The maximum on East African roads is 6 axle configuration...meaning that the design standards of RSA and Namibia roads / highways is higher than East African standards

Adiya did see the papa (shark) and she wasn't excited. What happened to the tax refund? I always get problems with the AC gas but I found a golden rule: First add some gas to to pressurize the system and spray foam on most of the pipe joints to check for leakages. If you sort out any leakages which are there then you can fill in the full gas volume. That gas will remain constant in the system as long as there's no leakage. Seeing CALTEX filling stations brings great memories to me. That was my no.1 filling station in East Africa.
I did not get a tax refund. I missed a step in the process. Thank you so much for the valuable tips. I will be sure to implement it to prevent future inconveniences.
I'd advise you to release your handbrake whenever you are at a resting place in such a that there'll be enough ventilation on your back wheels. To avoid tyre bursts... enjoy your journey and God bless you abundantly.

Adiya did see the papa (shark) and she wasn't excited. What happened to the tax refund? I always get problems with the AC gas but I found a golden rule: First add some gas to to pressurize the system and spray foam on most of the pipe joints to check for leakages. If you sort out any leakages which are there then you can fill in the full gas volume. That gas will remain constant in the system as long as there's no leakage. Seeing CALTEX filling stations brings great memories to me. That was my no.1 filling station in East Africa.
I did not get a tax refund. I missed a step in the process. Thank you so much for the valuable tips. I will be sure to implement it to prevent future inconveniences.

Very scenic journey from Cape Town. Wish the government would consider reviving those rivers, it's possible.
The region was quite dry. If most of the river water is not lost to evaporation, it is lost through irrigation.

Hey dear I was watching your journey since from Nairobi to Cape Town I loved it, but when u in Cape Town I thought u gonna go to Robben Island, I was busy cheer up with my hubby saying go to Robben Island pls 😅but u didn't , u would have wonderful experience n learn about our struggle n freedom. But anyway it was great watching u n your friends.❤❤
