Great to see you PD cows in the locking yokes. We used are Jourdain locking yokes for TB testing for the first time - brilliant. Will have to buy more as didn’t have enough for all of them - so put them through the crush. All clear thankfully for another 6 months. All the cows were in calf thankfully. New for us was vacinating for DVD and clostridial as a bit more protection. I had to laugh when you told ‘dad’ not to scuff his feet - surprised you didn’t get a ‘dad’ quick answer back. Amazing scrapyard - I could do with a working back end for my Ford 7810, have lost 2nd and 4th gear - might be able to repair it via the stub axel. Wish I could get a set of the double zip overalls here, unprinted, I have never worn overalls due to the single zips!!!! I would need Brunyee Salers printed on mine 🤣🤣🤣 A lovely Sunday Evening Video treat. Stay safe and keep smiling.
Very Nice to see You and your Parents do the Beef Farm work .I have had many years Blonde Aquitaine on the farm .Thanks for sharing .I am searching for a side plate for MF 3060 of 1986 .Also on the scrapyard .Greetings to you All
Great video Laura. I'd say you could get a whole series out of that spreader. Your dad is a goodun to take it on. He deserves a new set of wheels and tyres sponsored at the very least. Look forward to seeing progress on it. Cheers
Those cattle are a credit to your mam and dad, Laura thanks for the upload and I will be getting one of those overalls haven't seen them here in Ireland.
Back in the early 1980’s I use to run my agricultural contracting with Le-boulch 12 ton wide spread muck spreaders pulled by Ford 7710 and loaded with matbro ram & teleram 40D which came from Matbro in Horley Surrey, Great videos of all the burnt out agricultural machinery and listening to the person with you explaining the burnt out spreader and his future plans, 🇬🇧🇮🇪.
Your father thinks exactly the same as I do especially when I first started agriculture contracting 1980’s spending a small amount to save yourself thousands 🇬🇧🇮🇪.
Thank you for another interesting, varied and enjoyable video. Sometime could you explain the 240 cow quota and how for a young person Ireland, Australia and france compare life wise and starting farming or even settling down. My son lives in Sydney both he and his wife have good jobs, but their costs with 2 children and morgage, in my view they would be better at home. Th care

Think the overalls with the cow logo look more professional than the ones with the tractor on them. Do you work the farm full time or do you have a full time job elsewhere, and help out when you can ?
I really enjoy your video s and the scrapyards . I looking for a cap for a 7810. Could you give me the name of the scrap yard . I would be very thankful.
We bought a 10 tonne Richard western muck spreader which needed refurbishing, we bought it for €3000 and it cost €4000 to refurbish but it was well worth it because it is as good as new now , other than Agriaffaires what other web sites have farm machinery for sale in France and are there monthly agricultural auctions in France ?
New Subscriber from near Dead Horse Tank, Texas. A video like this has me moving to France. God bless lass.

Great video. Best of luck with the dung spreader refurbishment
Good find on the spreader, may bow out a little under load but I doubt the frame is hurt.
Should be okay 👍
Great video as always. are there other smaller muck spreaders there.
10 cubic meter would be great.
I fully approve of the double zip overalls

That's why you look familiar there's a bunch of French families that live around me I'm like this woman like someone I would see in town
But we're not French..

That's a great looking setup in the shed. Do you have much trouble calving them? The exotics seem to have a reputation here in Ireland.
Not really, we calf them on the home farm
👍
Never seen so many Burt tractors combines balers Laura and Declan
Hey. Can you send me the name of the scrapyard or link. Great videos you are making
Sorry for the late reply. TMC near the town Poitier
Think the overalls with the cow logo look more professional than the ones with the tractor on them.
Do you work the farm full time or do you have a full time job elsewhere, and help out when you can ?
Thanks, they're my favourite ones too!
I am full time on the farm and also work for myself 🤷🙂

How much is the boiler suits and do you do hats let me know please and keep up the good work Laura
Hi, Yes we do indeed. They are now available on our website if you're interested: www.farminglifeatlaforge.com
How long have you been back in France?
About 6 weeks
What causes all the equipment fires here in NZ birds nests on the engine causes tractor fires but we dont baler fires
Mainly in the summer during harvest, if it is very dry and then get a rock spark off the machine
gold mine !
Sure is!
Declan what is france like for buying a second-hand tractor? are prices less than ireland ..??
I think it's easier to get a classic tractor over here, finding them is the only thing

Leboncoin also sells machinery but agriafaires is better l. Not sure about auctions, I haven't really seen any
Do you guys come back over to any shows in Ireland ?
I'd go to the ploughing match but it's the wrong time of year for dad with the start of calving. Usually they'd go to the royal Highland
Lots of scrap to see.
couldn't get around it all!
What is the scrap yard called, and do they have a website ?

Why no slurry in France?
Lots of cereals, lots of straw. Bedded sheds.
@@nigelmchugh5541 so like the olden days here? Fair enough, always thought the soil misses out from the lack of straw for worms to munch on
There's more slurry in the north of France, it's more cereal/ dairy country. It's all beef around us and it's all strawbed
Hi Laura

Calving 240 sucklers is no picnic, he really is mad😂😂😂😂
