You are most likely correct about the time frame in which this was recorded. At 16:31, it says "(C)1989 Home Box Office...", obviously making it impossible that this was from before then. I grew up north of Pittsburgh right around this time, and would have been in kindergarten that year. But I vaguely remember the old WPGH 53 logo, and remember that I started seeing the "new" WPGH Fox 53 logo sometime in 1990-91.

These commercials aired before the Fall of 1989 because WPGH was still using its logo from its days as an independent station.
