    I had this installed on my house in 2007 and it was absolutely quiet and smooth!! I replaced it a year later because the remote range wasn’t too good and it was very slow opening and closing. Sold it to my neighbor and they still have it! I had a LiftMaster belt drive with battery backup installed and love it!

    After 12 years it just started to miss the downward travel and it came back to open, for a bout a year y was just manually opening it because i could not find the manual. I am glad you posted this video, I just reset it following your instructions and it works just fine. Just as quiet and just as good. thanks again.

    I want a Marantec!!!!! I love anything made in Germany and you can't get any quieter or smoother than that!

    This is v surprising they have a TH-cam video of the exact garage opener I am trying to fix... tnx for video RGDMan. Also surprised to hear it's a good opener, as I am having issues with the door starting to open then stopping, then getting the door to open by holding the opener button door for a very long press. Happens with different remotes too and in-vehicle buttons.

    Cool! Can't wait to see the new openers! I think your springs need a tiny bit of oil as well.

    @yoshifan125 Nothing, the whisper drive is fine, this is just quieter, so I thought I would use this for a while. Right now I just have my aviator in my room.

    @TheLiftmasterDOORGUY the opener is quiel mainly because it runs so slow.liftmasters are way better.you cant compare this at all to a liftmaster.

    I just got a house that has their 4700e lift in it, and I am amazed at how quiet it is! By the way, nice Goldwing! Is that a '76?

    i know you don't, i was just saying i know you're a liftmaster fan..the only openers i know of that are as quiet as this are the Hormann Silent Drives and the Sommer Direct Drives..both German companies..

    Would you happen to know how to program a car to open the garage with this particular model?

    • @TheLiftmasterDOORGUY
      @TheLiftmasterDOORGUY  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need to refer to your manual for you car in order to train the remote code to your car, as it varies by model. Look up Homelink or Car2U in your car manual for the first step. After doing that, then there is a programming button on the bottom of the unit that you push and hold for a couple seconds and an LED beside it will flash. Then push the button again until LED #7 flashes, then you can push your button in the car, and that should operate the door. Hope this helps

    A marantec is a great opener..but, their remotes and keypads suck..You will replace them within a yr. If they can get that fixed it would be excellent.

      Chip Levy I have this garage door opener and it is 9 yrs. works great. I need to buy a new remote. How can I get this?

      Margaret Bandy 9 years? How? Those things are garbage. Buy a Chamberlain Universal Garage door remote if you’re still looking for one

      Marantec is OK, but there not really that good. One of my grandparents' neighbors has one exactly like this.

    • @TBHD724

      They're quiet for sure. But extremely slow, the STILL use fixed code remotes, they lose their memory every time you unplug them, and they dont stand by their warranty
