After reseting all my settings the Kodiak and other planes work better now after MSFS settings and now have to be more mindfull after the mods from MSFS the Kodiak is just a splendid aircraft
Thank You very much for your short video concerning the right configuration of the bravo throttle. It helped me alot! As I tried it on my own I made a mistake and found something very cool. With a minor change to your configuration for the throttle axis you can use the beta range of the Kodiak (reverse thrust) as an AXIS! As i am using the german version of the simulator i may not find the exact names for the setting options but i´m sure, you will manage to get things right. :) All you have to do is following: 1. Bind the throttle axis as you did 2. bind the appropiate swith of this axis with "decrease throttle 1" as you did 3. bind the same switch with "hold throttle reverse thrust" 4. IMPORTANT: when you bind the switch in step 3 you have to change the "action type" from "on press" to "on release" (if this is the right option name in the englisch version?!) What changed now? When you go now with the throttle lever through the detend position you get into the beta range. You can now use the whole range of the throttle axis in the beta range! If you than increase the throttle lever you will increase the reverse thrust not as a switch, but with the behaviour of an axis. You can now brake with the beta throttle lever during taxing, than with the brakes as mentionend in the airplane manual. If you want to switch back to the normal throttle axis, just go right through the swtich (detend) position once again and you have your throttle axis switched back to normal! With this option you now can adjust your reverse thrust during landig. I find this very cool!! So check it out! :)
Incidentally the Prop settings here also work for the Cessna 337 to put each prop into the full feather position. Great video, I was pulling my hair out trying to get this working on the Bravo!
Just bought this (always late to the party), would never have been able to set my Bravo up without this video, I was actually stumped for 20+ minutes regarding the Condition Lever having full movement until I watch all the video through 😬😂. Your contribution to the community is always the finest 👍
Mark, thank you so much for this. I made one additional tweak for the propeller. I also bind the switch to "PROPELLER 1 PITCH HI" but set it to "On Release." That way when you release the prop from feather it snaps to "Hi Pitch" (the bottom of the travel) rather than "Lo Pitch" (the top of the travel.) I hope this makes senses. Merry Christmas :)
Your video is excellent. It is very useful and very well done, it is clear, precise and it works. All my aircraft configuration with Bravo were made with your videos. I guess the DHC-6 Twin otter will be available soon! Thank you so much.
Decided to set this one up properly as tried to manage with a one profile fits all approach but it does not work - thank you again for your contributions Mark, they are much appreciated, I am now set up properly
This also worked perfectly with the Logitech 3 lever quadrants. Thanks for posting this setup guide I couldn't figure out the condition lever cutoff or the prop beta range. My Logitech throttles work the same as your bravo with the Kodiak now.
Ran into a problem The sim freezes up if the lever is left in the lowest position. I only ran into this when I was trying to set up the Kodiak prop etc levers using the space below the detent. Move the lever back up and everything works like normal. I only ran into this when I was trying to set up the Kodiak prop etc levers using the space below the detent. I have dozens of other setups on the Bravo and this drove me crazy for a while. Thanks for this and all your other videos Mark. I just wanted to add this in case someone else runs into this glitch.

fantastic, thank you! I've been trying to figure out the feather for a long time. I use a slightly different spread on the levers allowing me to add flaps on lever #6 and using the flaps lever for the fuel valve toggle.

Thank you so much! Now my Bravo works like I want it. My fuel condition lever axis even works with 2% Extremity Dead Zone. Like and subscription are guaranteed.
Hi Mark, thanks this worked great!! Any chance of doing a video for setting up the Asobo King Air with the HC Bravo. I tried setting up my condition levers so I would have pull the lever to the detent for cutoff like you did in the Kodiac. Playing around with the sensitivity I could never get it to work properly. I could get it to cut off in the detent but it would not move to full forward. When I set the sensitivity so it would go to full forward it would reach cutoff prior to moving to the detent. Thank you
Oooh! ..Connel / Oban airport in Scotland 👍☺ Interesting stuff , although i don't have this particular throttle Quadrant ( yet..lol ) ..its interesting to see how its setup . Thanks again.
Very helpful. Thank you! One more question. How do I sort out other assignments/bindings? I can't find the AUX BUS and the normal landing lights don't work for some reason. In XP I had an app that would tell me what a planemaker was using for a controller code, but I'm a bit lost here.
Good work Mark ! I've got the Thrustmaster TCA, no quadrant. So less options for achieving the same thing. But possible, right ? The user manual suggests you assign rudder, elevator and aileron trims to your controller as well.
Thanks for all your help with configs, tho i dont seem to be able to get mine to work post engine start. All works well on load in but as soon as i start the throttle goes wild and ends in reverse(max). ive tried diffeent axis with same result. Anyone?? i also have issues with the crj reverse action. no issues with stock aircraft.

Hello Mark, thank you very much for this detailed explaination of these settings. Condition lever and Proplever are complete clear to me now. However, the section about the Throttle and reverse Throttle I do not understand. It seems as if some text is missing there, but maybe I am wrong. I am by the way working with the Saitek Throttle Quadrant, but the principle stays the same, I suppose. If possible, could you give - in text - the function and if it needs a button at the end of a axis or a complete separate button. Thanks and have blessed days. Bram

Hi Mark, Pipo here, it makes a big difference to get the "basics" done right, so thanks!! I like Option 1 on the Condition Lever, as I can go down to Low Idle for smooth taxiing (after landing) by hitting the top of the detent, without taking my eyes of the nose.
