Where you saw the train high speed rail will enter coming from Los Angeles. You can see the overhead wiring being installed as this part of the line will be converted from diesel first and operate electrified commuter trains. That will be in less than two years. It will be at leas a decade before high speed rail arrives here as LOTS of tunneling is needed.

I should add that eventually high speed trains will tunnel to Salesforce Transit Center to the six track station in the basement.

Nice, thanks for the information! 🚉 I always love hearing about further transit developments.

I like the way the bike lanes are separated from the traffic -- so much safer! Have you ever tried the Lime rental bikes in Cleveland? You are so calm navigating through an unfamiliar city...I would be in panic mode the whole time. LOL

It is thrilling inside to jump right in and be bike riding (but thank goodness for Google Maps, of course). I haven't tried any rental bikes in Cleveland, since I have a bike to ride here. Back when the stationary (non electric) bikes were Downtown many years ago, I thought about getting a membership to more quickly get to places Downtown. But now, I just don't think the rates are worth it.

@@PokoTraveler I’m going to be in SF in a few weeks and your videos are getting me pumped! Those rental bikes are cheap, but it’s too annoying with the 30 minute limits😡

For those wondering, yes this is in fact the dirtiest, nastiest part of San Francisco. I guess this video is a good point of comparison between reality and right wing propaganda about "liberal" cities.
The Civic Center BART/Muni Metro station is supposed to be the epicenter of all that is bad in the city. It gets a tad worse in the Tenderloin, but that's just not an area where any tourist or visitor would find anything interesting anyway.

I know I didn't get to the Tenderloin area, but this area didn't feel unsafe to me as a visitor. I guess I'm used to certain things like that in other cities, so it didn't alarm me. But once I got out of the Civic Center area, there definitely was a change in the look-and-feel of San Francisco.

@@PokoTraveler As you were exiting at Civic Center, I was actually bracing for the standard anti-SF troll video. I thought the next words out of your mouth would be the standard "San Francisco used to be the jewel of California, a Paris of the West, but then the libruls and the gays..." and so on from there according to that script that they all got 😁😁😁
