By all means come back. I have a $1.5 million condo to sell you providing you are OK with the $750 co-op fee and the greed-caused homelessness problem. Seriously.

Thank you, I am enjoying the ride with you. I don’t go to sleep or close my eyes.💜💜💜💜💜💜 We were in San Francisco in March 2024. My daughter and I enjoyed the two days passes my son bought for us while he was in class training as job related for all California Public Schools, Speech Language Pathologists at Hilton Honor SF Union Squares. We took the Big Bus Tour, Hop on/off. Then we rode the rice-a-roni, the San Francisco treat, cable car. You can get off from cable car to walk down the crookiest streets. We bought some chocolate candies at Ghirardelli, $12.99 a pound, assorted chocolate. Don’t worry, there is a restroom around that area. Golden Gate Park has been remodeled. There were different vendors selling sausage’s sandwiches, for $10.00 a sandwich. Big cup of fresh varieties of fruits for $10.00. A bottle of water was $5.00 to $10.00. Bring your own drinks. Also restroom in the area. Bring yourself a jacket due to cold air. You can hop off anywhere but make sure to remember where to hop on. Big Bus hop on/off has their own bus stops. The Painted Ladies Park, the colors of the homes starting to fade away and not too colorful. We been to SF before and we saw so many places and things; so this time, we didn’t go to Alcatraz. I believe it cost $40.00 round trips on the boat ride. The bad smells that was coming out from the air, was sickening. The streets, sidewalks and some walking paths were nasty and filthy from human beings; old and fresh drops. The Big Bus drivers will tell you be careful in some areas especially at night. Hold on to your belongings. I expected to be crowded as it used to be, but it was not. We took Uber from-time-to-time to Chinatown to buy some pastries to bring home. Big Bus also stops here and you can walk to Pyramid. Today’s date is April 3, 2024, beautiful Wednesday morning in California USA 🇺🇸, Ventura County, Oxnard.
I’m due to go to SF in September this year I’m doing a road trip ( I’m from England 🇬🇧), driving from San Diego to San Francisco. I’m looking forward to San Francisco, but I must admit, I’m hearing a lot of negativity about the city. I’m staying in Fisherman’s Wharf. I’m really looking forward t going to Muir woods, this is the main reason for my visit, which I’m sure will be great, I just hope the rest of San Francisco is as well.
@@darthja8292 That's awesome and you're going to be fine. I've heard some problems too about SF especially with car break ins. It's best to park in a garage if you can. Honestly through, it's pretty rare to have this sort of things happen. SD is fantastic. Muir is fantastic. I'm actually in England now. I've been traveling around London, York, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and am now in Bognor Regis. Videos coming soon :)
@@ksvagabond hi, thanks for your reply. I’m actually not driving in SF, as soon as we get there, the car is being dropped back off, so no issue with car break in’s, but we’ll be carful on the drive up to SF👍🏻. I’m actually from Manchester, glad you visited my city, and the rest of the UK. Hope you are having a great time, but please ignore the weather, it doesn’t always rain here, honest 😁😁😁
Wow, this video perfectly captures the essence of San Francisco! 🚗🌉 The Bay Bridge views are stunning, and Chinatown looks so vibrant. Quick question: Did you come across any iconic cable cars during your drive? They're such a unique part of SF’s charm!
I appreciate your realistic view on the city. Spending more time in the city recently gives me hope. Grant St. near Chinatown is still awesome as heck.
Only if the people and the people in charge realize that greed/tech bros, drugs, car burglary, vandalism, shop lifting, public nudity are not contributing to a healthy city. Somehow I think we have not reached the bottom yet.
That’s the entire goal is to have you feel like you’re riding shotgun. I’m happy to hear that. Thanks for watching. More great travel driving coming weekly!!!
My daughter and I enjoyed the two days passes my son bought for us while he was in class training as job related for all California Public Schools, Speech Language Pathologists at Hilton Honor SF Union Squares.
@ksvagabond in the late 60s and through the 70s I saw many of them building go up. I'm from Santa Cruz and I was going to the City about every 3 weeks. I remember what was there before the Trans American I remember that I saw the fence around the 8 storey and wondered what was going on and then 3 weeks later it was gone.
It’s an incredible number. About 1/3 of people living in San Francisco are Asian. I don’t know if they are Asian Americans though, but they are of Asian descent.
People were sometines afraid to drive in SF. Id tell them just keep moving dont lollygag. I HAVE STILL 74 pinto wagon a nd it took those hills like a.Champ.
So much of San Francisco has deteriorated. In fact, so badly that it's really an unsafe place to live. Yes, there are some nice streets, places to shop, get a coffee and more, but those places are starting to get rare. SF is not like it was in the 1960s. But great video. I enjoyed the ride.
Lol, complete nonsense. SF is orders of magnitude safer now than it was 10 15 or 60 years ago. And it's not even remotely close. You've been fooled by propaganda, my dude. Watch the video. He shows a bunch of places that are supposed to be "overrun with crime and homelessness" according to your right wing news channels. Why aren't they?
Same, used to love the city even a decade or so ago. Was there this past summer to visit and shocked. A lot filthier than I remembered it and quite a bad homeless problem along with several stores and businesses just closed. Felt very dull compared to what it used to be
It is (was) a beautiful town but it's been hollowed out by greed (tech bros who only can come up with ideas that destroy jobs instead of creating them), big corps (see the soulless downtown which is semi deserted; it was once a vibrant part of the city) and liberal anything goes policies (drugs, crime, theft, car burglary, public nudity is accepted... while upright citizens almost seem to be frowned upon). As to homelessness? It is caused by the first two I mentioned. Greed is slowly devouring this once beautiful city. Sad. The emerald by the bay has lost its way. What is shocking to me is that most San Franciscans have gotten used (numb) to people living on the street. When a person who visits out of town points this out to a San Franciscan; the reply is all too often "I got used to it so perhaps I don't see it anymore". A city for trust fund kids, tech bros and the unfortunate who cannot catch up. Sorry to be so honest. People are really delusional saying it's all roses here. It really is not.
I appreciate the honesty. More people should act in a more productive way to bring back the city. That being said, Chinatown and North Beach seem as fun as before (10 years ago) and unphased. I might not be looking hard enough though.
I really miss San Francisco and this makes it so nice to ride along!
Thanks for driving with me :) ❤️✌️

At 14:40 on the left is a building squeezed in between two other buildings. The Heineman Building - worth checking out.
That's got to be one of the most unique buildings in SF. I guess it goes back pretty deep to make up for the lack of width.

I'm still quite optimistic about the fact that Frisco, as I personally like to call the city, will get back on its feet.
100% Or maybe it's becoming something totally different and evolving. Either one will still have The City roots.

Dead af. Miss the old city
I miss it so much. The last 10 years have been rough.
The government wants San Fran to be a s*** hole, so it will be a s*** hole.
Hey, they just cleaned it up for those visiting politicians. Interesting. So California DOES have resources to help/clean up the streets.
Where are all the homeless and poop everyone is talking about?
There isn’t any. Why do people think this?
I hate SF Chinatown. Narrow streets, funky smell, chaotic crowds. And worst of all, rude people (Chinese).
Tough outlook my friend. Give it another try in the summer.
Once The Golden State 🌼💔
Now a dead city! Will miss
Seriously! Give it a few more years. 2028 is going to be the rebirth of SF!
It is not dead on the weekends or in the tourist areas.
