@@YourDriverMike I didn't get the email, but did you see the email that came in for in-home grocery delivery? Got it from 3 days ago in Los Angeles, email subject: "New Earnings Opportunity in Your Area"
Mike, I emailed Door dash about an idea to increase the market share of DD by 100 times, I might need you to negotiate with them, you have a good idea what is going on with this space. if it works out drivers can expect to see a huge increase in pay.
Acceptance rate shouldn’t even be a factor . The most important thing to your business is having a high customer service rating, completing orders, and delivering them on time. They need to change how deliveries are made because customer shouldn’t be able to place an order at a restaurant farther than 5 miles away.
Agreed. I am glad though that they are going the right direction, it's a start. Also agree that there should be some limits on distance or revamped distance pay when ordering.
@@johnbartz1907 there was one for me like half a year ago that I missed it was 200 for 10 deliveries I was _really_ mad about missing that 😂😂😂 still am
@ if you decide to open a pizza shop and pay your employees less then minimum wage say like $5 to 10 an hour you will be charged with federal crime cuz you are violating labor laws but these billion dollar companies get away with it by paying you $5 to deive 50 miles
With the elimination of the rolling 30 day order requirement there will be a flood of new Platinum Dashers. This will dilute the Platinum ranks and mean less high paying orders for all. As with everything DoorDash does it penalizes the best Dashers.
Gotta repeat it the way Mike did. It used to be more like this when there was no Top Dasher, no AR. With this there are still metrics but AR is weighted much less where as right now it is like THEY metric of all metrics, so it should still work out if you are strategical and keep all your stats in check, rather then just focus AR at cost of everything else you do.
We have the rewards program in San Diego…I hate it and I’ve told them as much multiple times when they send me random surveys. I also participated in a direct interview with a Door Dash person several weeks ago and I let them know that its ridiculous that I have 100% completion rate, 5 star customer rating, 98% on time or early and am silver simply because I have a lower AR. I RE-explained that they cannot expect us to accept all their crap orders when we have gas and car maintenance to consider. I have ranted about this on EVERY survey🤷♀️
This is Good. I'm almost always Platinum, but with my good ratings in Completion, Customer, and On-time/Early (99%, 4.92%, 96%), now I'll be able to drop to the 50's in Acceptance and stay Platinum. I'll probably still stay above 60% though. On the other hand, the downside may be that if more people reach Platinum, then the same number of high-paying offers is divided among more people. By the way, that 4.92 is low for me. More often it's 4.95 - 5.0. I wish more people reviewed and gave ratings because bad ones take forever to disappear! And I wish On Time would come into effect for me (instead of On Time Or Early) because I know that 96% is low (like you were saying about yours). Also, I'm fortunate to live in the wealthiest county in Ohio, also the fastest growing county in Ohio.
Exactly. I've ranted to friends i wanted something more like this in the past since even if i do everything else i can right its not like it matters much, this actually addresses it and eases the burden of AR a fair bit, right now if you need to be 70 you are more looking to stay around 80, taking median safety net AR from 80s to 60s is huge. Accepting 2 out of 3 instead of 4 out of 5 sounds nice.
Here’s a tip, you can speak to an agent everyday and ask to remove 1 rating(I’m Platinum status tho)…I’ve gotten at least 10 bad ratings removed recently(college kids and non tippers)…I was 5 stars till 2 weeks ago…I’m planning to unassign more if the customer is showing signs of issue”
The 100 orders I. Last 30 days is game changing for me. I went on vacation for 2 weeks. Lost my platinum status. I have been struggling to get that back
"2 stars, driver was late" -- ratings protections should kick in here for excluded ratings ("While there is currently no minimum requirement for on-time rate, we care about your driving safety and will automatically exclude up to 10 late deliveries from your rating to account for unpredictable challenges like restaurant delays, traffic conditions, and tricky customer drop-offs."). Now if they say we're late and we weren't it shouldn't matter if the rating is excluded but we shouldn't even have to use an excluded rating if we WERE on time. Not sure if there's an internal audit of this on the backend (checking GPS data when we click order delivered)
Why doesn't Doordash give any points for seniority? I think this new dasher rating system should incorporate total lifetime deliveries into the equation somehow. If 2 dashers are sitting next to each other in a parking lot and offer comes along, if both have a Dasher Rating of 80, then the offer should go to the dasher with the higher total deliveries completed. It appears as though the number of deliveries in the last 30 days will become irrelevant, but lifetime deliveries should "carry some weight" in the offer selection process of the DD algorithm.
@@YourDriverMike Yes. Exactly 👍Doordash doesn't take that into consideration in any way. I think it's vital. If they want to retain quality drivers, they need to reward them. All delivery platforms should. But if we could get them (DD) to recognize this, it would be huge!
I have a big concern right from the get go. It says PILOT. To me it's a small test group and this review is therefore premature. I am also concerned at how Doordash seems to jump the gun each time with pilots and should be doing quiet tests with long term drivers and ironing out all the wrinkles well before making system wide announcements
I got the initial email in Lynchburg on the 13th and again on the 16th. According to the numbers shown, I would be gold level with only 18% AR and 4.56 customer rating because my completion and on-time are both 100%. The customer rating metric is kind of a flaky criterion because it depends on how many customers actually give a rating and how accurately that rating is given. In my case only 13% of deliveries yielded a rating. My overall observation of ratings/reviews for various things (product, service, etc) is that many people give fewer stars than would reflect their actual experience. For example, a review of a product calling it the best thing since forever might be paired with a 3-star rating. The same type of disparity is likely for delivery satisfaction.
Wow...using this metric, I would currently have a score of about 95! (Currently not seeing anything about these changes here in Fredericksburg, VA) This would mean my 3 other high ratings will make that AR FAR less stressful!
I really like the look of this program. Yes there will be a bigger pool of Dashers who see good offers, but everyone included is also going to have less strict AR requirements so long as you keep up with stuff like timeliness and completion rate. Metrics could change but pay attention to completion specifically, going from 98% to 96% absolutely tanks your ratings but thats fair imo, fairer than the hard cutoff we have now with AR. People should really be saving it for emergencies not just as a AR buffer and with this system AR will be less a pain if you do everything else right so "buffing 3-4%" with cancels like is often done now wont be needed. With that said the importance of stuff like CR will be bothersome on bad weeks where say someone else stole the food unless there is proper safety net, but i believe currently there is one. Timeliness is mostly good but agree the language is odd, and its possible we will see a wave of needless deactivations early on while we all figure ways to manage it correctly but I'm sure we'll figure it out.
Loosening the AR requirement could potentially backfire on DD. More orders could be declined without the pressure to accept. This could force DD to increase the dollars to miles ratio (which right now frankly sucks), which could necessitate an increase in delivery fees. Higher fees could reduce the number of customers opting for delivery. Hopefully I'm just crepe-hanging here and it will all level off.
feel like this will only create more platinum dashers. which would mean better offers are spread out to even more dashers. less money for current plat dashers and prob the same for silver and gold turned plat. big meh
Based on DD's Dasher Ratings, to hit 75% for plat status (pretty much top dasher) at minimum your completion rate needs to be immaculate as that gives you the highest amount of points possible (30), from there On Time rating at 20, and AR 15 points, but you need to maintain 70%. Many under AR will fail to reach this. I will most likely stick to Silver. But to reach even that at 60, compleition rate, customer rating and on time rating need to be at max. Their graph shows 72 points total. It's unknown how many points those would be if you have the highest rating for each. Completion, Customer Rating and on time only gives you 57 based on their stats. Edit: I just saw that you posted an update video. Will watch now, thanks!
I'm SO happy about the no longer 100 deliveries in the 30 rolling days lol. I hit platinum for the first time about two-three weeks ago and that had me STRESSING!
It was a hamster wheel that was constantly turning over to keep your deliveries up every day. Not feasible for casual Dashers (most). I also like the removal of that requirement.
Merry Christmas! I know a few dashers around here that are going to be so happy to see the 100 deliveries go bye bye. They work part time so it was almost impossible to keep up the delivery quota for platinum. Happy happy all around, this is such good news. A Christmas miracle?
Thank god haha. I have a 5 star customer rating and glad it'll finally matter. I'm glad they're getting rid of the 100 orders requirement for Platinum because I never had control over it - even if I'm not cherrypicking and in theory were to take every bad offer I get, I often wouldn't get to 100, it's frustrating. This new system gives me a bit more control. That said, I haven't received the email here in Los Angeles yet.
Thanks for sharing, seems like a good overall reaction so far. That's true instead of just having to hit a metric these metrics actually matter more aka carrying some weight/points
Wow. My zone is on here. I need to try to get platinum. Our zone is so oversaturated with drivers having the dash now feature is the only positive feature.
DD really needs to add in time allowance for high traffic areas as I live in a large city that we are fighting high traffic to get from pick up to delivery location that is not taken into consideration that we are fighting heavy traffic and going 10+miles from pick up to delivery address. I am platinum and still get these $2 - $4 dashes that are going over 10 miles away from restaurant pick up and 99.9% of those do not tip. DD needs to accommodate the gas mileage pay the pay Pennies that is not right and Platinum is supposed to get higher paying offers yet still get low orders and if not tipped it doesn’t even cover a gallon of gas for those trips and I rarely decline to keep my rating up because they say it doesn’t affect if you decline low offers but in reality it doesn’t affect if you decline . DD is making a killing yet they pay Pennie’s to their drivers. DD should have a minimum of $4 pay plus tips because in most states DD barely if at all covers the gas amount used for these deliveries. They need to up the pay on these little orders
Mike my ratings for silver gold and platinum are the same as yours. I'm in New Orleans, Louisiana. My biggest problem with Door dash is when I wont accept a dash outside my zone late at night when it wants to send me to a really bad neighbourhood in New Orleans they hold it against me and lower my acceptance rate. There is a reason I won't go to those neighbourhoods at night. I'm a female alone and New Orleans can be very dangerous in certain areas. So at night I stay in the New Orleans suburbs zone, Metairie, 5 minutes outside the city where I live. I prefer to work by hour I feel like I definitely make more money in my market by hour. But then they want to force me in those really bad neighbourhoods where every night people are being killed. New Orleans is like the wild west and no murders get solved here. Dont get me wrong my city is beautiful and full of history and amazing culture but if you dont know how to handle New Orleans the right way you can end up in a bad neighbourhood. So anyway, then when I decline that dash into the New Orleans zone late at night they hold it against me. Sometimes I decline it, they lower my acceptance rate, then they send me the same exact dash, and when I decline it again I lose my hourly pay and have to work by individual dash. When I work by individual dash in the suburbs I make NO money. I was almost to gold and I lost my silver because of that.
I can't say i have your level of inherent danger, but as someone who lives around notorious areas and is used to pausing around places i know often send offers to places i won't go this system should be better. The take away if you didn't see the whole thing is AR% matters A LOT less, its more about every other stat being good too, if you push Completion rate in particular to 98-100% and have 4.9 rating, not late often, you can likely become not silver or gold but platinum with like mid 50ish% AR, and enjoy silver and gold at way lower AR then even that. AR% now makes up like 1/3 the weight or so for this point based metric, so programs like this should be better for situations like yours, at least from what i can tell.
i was there visiting family a few weeks ago and it seemed like 15/hr in metairie. EBT said it was like 12 something? how is that better paying? totally with you on the neighborhood thing though. swf here and im not playing around.
Thanks for sharing, if possible try to work further away from those zones. Each restaurant has a set delivery radius based on the paid plan that they have on DD so if you're further away the radius of those neighborhoods simply won't reach the restaurants in your further away area. Not always possible though and yes EBT is more strict with the singular decline per hour.
Like the CEO of United Health, these delivery gig CEOs don't have any regards for drivers at all.......keep sending us orders that don't even pay for the gas and penalize us for declining them.....pure evil souls
That is good news because having to accept 2$ jobs is rage inducing. However, its not perfect that now its in the hands of peoples ratings because I already had one person give me 1 star - apparently I delivered it to the wrong house but the photo i took of the delivery shows it right under the house number listed on the app- and customer support did nothing to fix my rating despite having photographic proof. also, only like 20% of people actually leave positive reviews which make the negative reviews effect you harder.
With sarcasm I say ..SO WHAT. Seriously an awful lot of info and no matter what, I am celebrating 2 year anniversary of full-time dashing at Top Dasher/Platinum and my average active dash pay stays in the same $21-$23 per hour range. The only thing that sucked was the one time I dropped off platinum due to crappy customer rating (which I think is too tight of a rating scale)
I would like to see Acceptance Rate get a lower priority. I can understand completion rate being the most heavily weighted metric bc you shouldn’t accept orders that you don’t plan to finish, but I would like to see them have customer rating and acceptance rate. I understand not every customer gives a rating but DoorDash has way too much control over our acceptance rate since they can repeatedly send low paying, high mileage orders that they know we are likely to decline and then, when we decline them, send them again as part of a stacked order where we know at least one of the orders is a bad order so we will decline it again, hurting our AR twice with essentially the same offer. Or better yet, get rid of AR completely. Maybe keep it on the page in case people want to see it but get rid of it as something that determines anything we do as a dasher
AR should have never been used as a metric for priority to high paying orders, it should only be used as a way to access dash now. AR is the only metric that made dashers Top dashers. With top dasher you were guaranteed dash now, but with priority on a tier level you are guaranteed nothing. The old system worked, and it was fair, no one got priority status, and top dashers earned the guarantee to dash anytime. Ok, I doubt they will get rid of the tier system, but at least they are giving us more ways to access rewards.
@ it’s not true that AR was the only metric to count towards Top Dasher. You still needed a completion rate of 95% and a customer rating of 4.7. Both of those are easy to attain, but they were still required and some people would have the AR and still not qualify because they had too low of a customer rating or completion rating. You also needed 100 deliveries in that month and, if doing it just part time, that could be hard to accomplish
I think it's much higher level than that. Surface level yes we see metrics = points = Rewards. But they need to consider all the math, scenarios, profit/loss, order availability (high paying), Dasher satisfaction, how easy is it to understand, how to recode/format the app (in partnership with developers/engineers). It's an entirely different convo of 'should anyone make this much money' which I understand but anyone sitting in high level roles it's constant pressure and work.
I've noticed that they aren't giving you much time to deliver. At keast me. I'm at 98% on time. I had a delivery the other day and i was 16 mins away and they had me delivering in 17 mins. That's cutting it close.
Every dasher is different, every story is unique, as long as you give an impeccable service there is nothing to complain about! You can do it, Dashers!!!! Accept and be thankful ❤
They are doing this so we have to sweat everything. There will be no time to calculate all of it during the time allocated to make a decision. It’s to push us all to accept and complete every order on time
We'll see! I don't see this kind of adaptability from any other gig app, they're constantly changing stuff which is nice. Granted yes sometimes bad sometimes good.
at least DD is not having AR be the end all be all, even though its literally the same thing , they give you wiggle room just depending how the point system is weighting the scales
Obviously Dasher Rewards is making the experience so unpalatable / unprofitable for their drivers their seeing more drivers than they were expecting to churn / stop - hence this modification.
@@Sasparillafizz i’ve done 400 deliveries or more just on the DoorDash platform every week for almost 5 years. I’ve been full-time for five years and last month I quit after dealing with the newest update a few months ago. I’m deleting my DoorDash app soon
Platinum gives you priority to Dash Now, I don't see anything about unlocking certain shifts or are you talking about early access scheduling and grabbing shifts?
@@urdaty If that happens the new pilot will fail because dashers will quit. I think the old Top dasher system worked well, before rewards and tiers and all that. You didn't get priority but you could dash anytime, and it was hard to get that 70%. The whole push now is to get us all to take more orders. My only gripe was they took early scheduling away from me because I wasn't on a tier.
I just started and only have about 20 orders so far, but nobody is rating me. I’m just afraid my first rating somebody is going to rate me a four out of five. Is there something I can do to increase my percentage of customers actually rating me ?
It seems like DD is revamping this sh*t every few months. Why don't they just leave us alone? Ive been also driving for GH for 3 years and GH never changes anything
@@YourDriverMike Especially if you're wanting to do long shifts. Dasher Rewards has made it so I only do a single morning / lunch EBT shift so Platinum can be maintained (hovering around 70%) - but has driven me away from doing DD in the evenings (used to do this by offer since EBT was terrible in my markets at night), I just do other services instead in the evening even though I'd rather do DD. Guessing what DD is doing here is noticing their churning too many drivers out of their system trying to keep those zeroed out and $1 tip offers with dasher rewards and looking to see what they can do to turn the churn down some.
Within 3 months of this, DD will revert to an AR dominated setup. Actual quality in service will be diminished, points will be reduced, and re-allocated into the AR.
It will be interesting to see where this all ends up. This revamp of the rewards program is mind blowing, such drastic changes. I really didn't think DD would take such a sudden, sharp turn like that. So unexpected. It's possible they could go back to basics one day, bring back top dasher and dump the priority status and tier levels. That system worked fine, those who wanted top dasher got their AR up, the rest of us didn't worry about AR at all, it didn't matter one bit.
In my market the more dashes you accept to stay in 70% range, the more lower ratings we receive from customers. Cherry pickers maintain 5 stars..platinum dashers tend to get hit lower star ratings.
If every driver would request for DD to stop sending under $10 orders for high miles because it's not feasable and ask them to bundle up the orders in batches of $20,$25,$50 to complete within the hour and higher paying batches for high tiers. Maybe just naybe we can all pay iur vills w/o a problem. The time to send in feedback is now cause I'll legals are getting sent vack next year so these apps are gonna need us. Nothing gets done if we stay quiet and please do y'all best not to take kow ball orders unless it's feasible. Stay away from slow restaurants, they'll get their act together when they see their food is bot being picked up. Stay safe everybody🤗
This won’t change how many bad orders hit our phones on a daily basis. But the rolling 100 made me stop dashing. Tired of the games. My stats qualify me for platinum when it hits my market. I won’t do another delivery until then
I feel the AR % is BS I have 14% AR. Completion is 98% Customer rating 4.97 On Time rate 100% and 93 deliverys in the last 30 days I should be able to dash and have access to early schedule not keep getting half an hour shifts it's ridiculous and then they send you a couple 2 dollar orders not working for a half am hour and doing 2 dollar order and then get clipped off after the half am hour as it currently is it is impossible for me in one of these tear programs because this illegal thing with the acceptance rate all my other ratings are perfect I work just as hard as everybody in the rewards program and should be rewarded for the and be able to schedule early not today doesn't get a half an hour shift and then expected to take all the orders in a half an hour which won't even be like $10
Yeah, ain't it great? My AR is about the same as yours, and I could possibly get platinum based on my completion rate, on time rate, and customer rating. I would at least get gold or silver. I'm happy! I just calculated my rating based on a copy of the email I saw on reddit, I'd be at 75, I'd be platinum. Wish I could give out a link to the pilot program rundown.
The thing is yes we can actually decline offers we don't want much more freely without feeling as forced to accept because I need to maintain a 50 AR etc
Hey mike for the inaccurate points is probably due to the coder that made a typo when updating the webpage. I do web development and sometimes i have typos haha. Hopefully they fix the error so it won’t confuse people
Also the good thing about this new rating is that it disciplines the drivers to give good services to customers. Algorithm will be on your side if you give good service.
😂😂😂 This is the equivalent to elementary kids earning star stickers and the reward is a few pieces of candy and a cheap toy for maintaining 5 stars in every subject. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
People don't realize but that's the same thing Uber Eats was doing points before they switch to percentages with doordash is doing now doordash this is doing with Uber Eats used to do with points
They're still using points on Preferred Deliveries: www.uber.com/blog/uber-eats-pro-preferred-deliveries/. Those aren't metrics based points tho (metrics still use percentages) points are only tallying deliveries completing and when they're completed.
It's a big change if it means more part-timers are going to able to "dash now anytime". Because more part-timers are going to be able to be Platimum, which means they will have access to the highest paying orders, and not have to schedule ahead.
Cherry Pick being relative, with a decent buffer zone for multiple declines easiest way to think of it is most Platinum dashers try for 4/5 currently, with this you can get by at about 2/3, which is fairer
Yes you can cherry pick with a low AR and still hit platinum you just need to be perfect everywhere else: Example -- 17% AR (0 points) + 100% CR (35 points) + 100% OTR (30 points) + 4.96 CUSTR (10 points) = 75 points Platinum
Back to a level playing field, just like it was in the good old top dasher days, before rewards and tiers. The dasher closest to the restaurant gets the order. I'm very happy DD has seen the light.
That's the next thing they need to work on, what constitutes a high paying offer. Seems they only consider pay per mile so $4 for 1.2 miles is high paying. Technically yes a fine margin solely considering operating cost of the vehicle but it's more of a volume strategy, more offers per hour to equal the pay you want. You can do that IF nothing goes wrong during those 4 deliveries in the hour. Edit: Plus you don't want four $4 offers in the hour. Maybe four $5+ offers.
@@YourDriverMike they never promise you 4 offers per hour....they only say you get priority to high paying orders...in other words there is no guarantee of nothing.....same as before....
so tired of having to do all this calculus in my head every time i dash. i just wanna work. all that matters is is the food on time and does it arrive in good condition? Good, OK. ENOUGH with the metrics!
Understandable, that's kind of like what 2019 or so? When there was no Top Dasher, Priority Access, Dasher Rewards or anything like that. You just dashed
I'm glad about that actually. I get bad customer ratings sometimes for no reason at all, or they blame me for something the restaurant did. I don't want my overall rating to be too reliant on finicky customers. With the new pilot, I'd be calling doordash support every time I get an unwarranted bad rating.
This is definitely not better for dashers. I’m sitting at 70% AR, 95% CR, 95% on time and 4.96 CR. I’m sure I will only get the points for the lower tier even though I’m closer to the higher tier
@@nocturnus6it’s low because I used it as wiggle room when my acceptance rate would fall to 69 if I didn’t accept the upside down offer. I save my unassigns for the really bad long distance low pay offers.
if thy do an overall if dine right. ill still be upset about it lmao.. this sounds better than the other one. i hover around 30-40% AR. everything else is high over 13k deliveries. so they better treat me right
So with the elimination of the 100 delivery's in 30 days this will flood every market with Platinum dashers hence watering everything down 😂 you have people being able to schedule whenever they wish and you'll have a higher saturation of dashers that has ever been before what does this equate to BIG MONEY FOR DOORDASH LESSER MONEY FOR DOORDASHERS 😂
Yeah that could happen in some areas, probably will. I'd rather be able to dash than have no chance whatsoever to dash or schedule. If dashers aren't making money most of them will quit or go to multi apping, just hang in there till they clear out. The market will work itself out. None of the other apps limit the number of drivers, although EU is experimenting with that.
You can't cherry pick orders anymore. You can't just choose what you want to do. They have made that virtually impossible. You might get 1 or 2 to decline but that's it.
Ads are typically every 3-4 minutes since the average watch time on the channel is around 5 minutes. Important live streams like this have a much higher average view duration.
@@OttobonYep! I'm currently at 77% because you gotta have that buffer zone for when you get a bunch of terrible offers in one dash lol
So damn true
Yes main thing I'll be watching is the % of total offers in relation to high paying.
I have been struggling to get that back
They don't want you back on
Same for me, I went on vacation and all those deliveries just fall off
@@YourDriverMike DD destroyed my account just to make sure I never dash freely again.....aka Dash now......
How exactly do they know the customers are given the right rating? What if the customer says we were late and we weren’t.
Not a bad idea, or some way to incorporate benefits/priority to more tenured workers. Just something for tenured workers.
@@YourDriverMike Yes. Exactly 👍Doordash doesn't take that into consideration in any way. I think it's vital. If they want to retain quality drivers, they need to reward them. All delivery platforms should. But if we could get them (DD) to recognize this, it would be huge!
@expungerbaby659 How is this bad? Experience and proven reliability should should hold some merit. "Earn Your Wings"
@@USBDiscoveries I actually didn't mean to comment that. Wrong post
You found the issues!! They will see your video and fix it. So glad I caught your vidio!!🎉🎉
Thanks for watching! I let DD know about the discrepancy as well
Wow...using this metric, I would currently have a score of about 95!
Well said much much more flexibility to dash how YOU want to dash not just chained to AR
@@rayives7758 sounds all positive to me, but i fear you live in the micro rather then macro
That still sucks. The room to be in platinum varies, but there is no room for error, and the points can be rigged to get you off of platinum, too.
I haven't done the math of possible points combinations but are you saying there's few scenarios to unlock Platinum?
feel like this will only create more platinum dashers. which would mean better offers are spread out to even more dashers. less money for current plat dashers and prob the same for silver and gold turned plat.
Seems confusing at first, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than having to keep 80%(in my market)AR
Exactly, basically have good metrics overall and you can qualify many ways instead of only 1 way.
I love the go anytime with platinum but its great not to have to look 30 days back to know how many orders i needed so i didnt lose my status
I think Las Vegas area is one of the last markets to get any of the newer upgrades/updates.
I never drive at night here and its just rural farmers, forget about DD you are a lot more important, just turn it off go home where its safe.
Pause your dash after you decline those bad areas for at least 1-2 minutes. Decreases the chance you get it back.
I just added up all my metrics based on this new rewards program update and im at 93 points which now puts me at platinum status.
We just got the original dasher rewards in my market place a month ago, who knows when this newer one will kick in.
someone gets 7 figures to come up with this 💩💩
Yep. You could be one 1⃣ those people too... Hating on then does you no good.
🎉😊
They are doing this so we have to sweat everything. There will be no time to calculate all of it during the time allocated to make a decision. It’s to push us all to accept and complete every order on time
I’m so sick of DoorDash. Is there a summary somebody wants to tell me? 😂
Finally DD did something good for Dashers, but how long its going to last though ?!
Platinum give you the opportunity to dash 8am-10am and odd times (working folks hrs) , you ain’t missing out on anything pay wise
Platinum gives you priority to Dash Now, I don't see anything about unlocking certain shifts or are you talking about early access scheduling and grabbing shifts?
@ It was just a recurring pattern for me at least. Every time I drop below Platinum I can’t dash at certain times
I wish you could get a blend of earn by time or earn by order offers without getting kicked off for too many declines.
might be good news for part timers and punishing full timers
BINGO
It will be worse for everyone more dashers available at any time means DoorDash and customers win while drivers bite the dust
I am in the San Diego market and ALOT of the time my offers are already late....you can figure it out from here
Are the delivery ETA's wildly inaccurate causing 'late' deliveries?
I just started and only have about 20 orders so far, but nobody is rating me. I’m just afraid my first rating somebody is going to rate me a four out of five.
Is there something I can do to increase my percentage of customers actually rating me ?
wat is make the switch to doordash crimson ?
Not sure when they're fully launching Crimson, if you use Dasher Direct I'd check your email.
The Youngstown, OH area has 4 sub-areas including the highest populated areas around Hermitage, PA…so it’s a pretty smart “same area”.
It seems like DD is revamping this sh*t every few months. Why don't they just leave us alone? Ive been also driving for GH for 3 years and GH never changes anything
for a dasher that is Platinum what is the benefit of scheduling ahead?
Guaranteeing the ability to dash when you want especially in competitive markets you can't always rely on Dash Now being available.
Completion is 98% Customer rating 4.97 On Time rate 100% and 93 deliverys in the last 30 days I should be able to dash and have access to early schedule not keep getting half an hour shifts it's ridiculous and then they send you a couple 2 dollar orders not working for a half am hour and doing 2 dollar order and then get clipped off after the half am hour as it currently is it is impossible for me in one of these tear programs because this illegal thing with the acceptance rate all my other ratings are perfect I work just as hard as everybody in the rewards program and should be rewarded for the and be able to schedule early not today doesn't get a half an hour shift and then expected to take all the orders in a half an hour which won't even be like $10
But Uber eats used to do how to get their points was lunch and dinner time points was different than the other times
They're still doing that for Uber Eats Pro at least in my market.
Do we know where this pilot is located? I haven't heard of it in my area
My AR is currently 36% but based on the other criteria I would be Gold level. I'll take it. Those non-tippers are shaking in their boots.
@@YourDriverMike do you see earn by time taking a huge hit from this?

We need higher base pay
Would love to see higher base than the $2, curious what DD would say if that were to change
Thanks, yes I let them know it seems off. Plus how hard is it to format the view scale appropriately lol
@ yea I don’t know why they had the view setup that way haha there’s better ways to code it for people to see it better.
I know you said the same rewards and I apologize for not sitting through the entire video but were they doing away with dashing whenever you want?
No Dash Now is still there, you just get Priority to Dash Now as Platinum
@ got it thanks
Backwards as usual customer rating is only worth 10 points but on time is worth 30 this is pathetic 🤣

Appreciate you sharing
People don't realize but that's the same thing Uber Eats was doing points before they switch to percentages with doordash is doing now doordash this is doing with Uber Eats used to do with points
They're still using points on Preferred Deliveries: www.uber.com/blog/uber-eats-pro-preferred-deliveries/. Those aren't metrics based points tho (metrics still use percentages) points are only tallying deliveries completing and when they're completed.
This is a more fair system than the bs out now. I'd try some more doordash now
Thanks for watching!
So is there no 100 orders per month to reach
Yes, they completely did away with that metric. All you need is your lifetime total of 595 or whatever.
My AR is at 4% right now. I don't do offers like $5.25 for 2.9 miles. Not worth my time
Are many dashers going to the time pay ?
It's a big change if it means more part-timers are going to able to "dash now anytime". Because more part-timers are going to be able to be Platimum, which means they will have access to the highest paying orders, and not have to schedule ahead.
Correct I anticipate more Dashers will qualify for Rewards
I dash part time and have been platinum for the most part but it will be nice to not need the rolling 100
So if you max out the other categories other than AR you can still be in Platinum and also cherry pick? This point system doesn’t make sense haha
Im definitely getting value in this video

So there will be alot more dashers competing for that 4.00 dollar two mile order......nothing has changed....good luck out there.....
Back to a level playing field, just like it was in the good old top dasher days, before rewards and tiers. The dasher closest to the restaurant gets the order. I'm very happy DD has seen the light.
@@nocturnus6 proximity has never stopped mattering
Im at 28% so i get 1 point hell yeah
This should be better for me because I keep a low AR but all of the rest of my numbers are stellar
Should be better for cherry pickers I think!
Is this going to be every market?
What if AR is around10 to 20 percent can we still qualify as long as everything else is above 95%
It's funny how customer rating gives you the least points. Almost like they dont care about the customer.........
I'm glad about that actually. I get bad customer ratings sometimes for no reason at all, or they blame me for something the restaurant did. I don't want my overall rating to be too reliant on finicky customers. With the new pilot, I'd be calling doordash support every time I get an unwarranted bad rating.

I hope this is true...do I get any points for AR below 10%?
Did you really expect DD to be accurate with anything? 😂

I’m in Seattle have rewards
On any given day, I could dash in three different states lol. I live in a tri state area and I go where its busy :) so this may be interesting to lol
I'm hoping DD understands those pockets of the country and doesn't make this confusing.
You can't cherry pick orders anymore. You can't just choose what you want to do. They have made that virtually impossible. You might get 1 or 2 to decline but that's it.
For Platinum you can unlock with a 0 point AR but must be perfect everywhere else, Silver and Gold are very doable with 0 point acceptance rates
What is with the 50 ads that TH-cam makes me watch for this video?
Ads are typically every 3-4 minutes since the average watch time on the channel is around 5 minutes. Important live streams like this have a much higher average view duration. While ads can be annoying they allow me to do what I do here and I do appreciate your patience with ads. Keep in mind I ultimately do not control ad placement or frequency.
its cuz you dont have ad blocker. rip.
Big breaking news- this changed months ago.
I spoke too soon, my bad.
I say make another tier below silver, modify the numbers and give platinum DASH NOW ANYTIME and it would probably be a really good system.
Platinum has Dash Now anytime what are you talking about?
@@Ottobonin most markets its priority access to dash now instead of anytime
@@Ottobon No it doesnt. And hasnt since the tier program went full throttle. Its "priority to dash now" meaning there is a limit just like with Earn by time. they can shut it off at anytime.
I wonder why they turned off Anytime to Priority
@@aakashpt oh well thats actually dumb, sorry to hear that and happy its not in my market. tbf if you are platinum can't you still just schedule some shifts way out, if need be make them short so missing one or another doesn't matter?
I have the ratings in New Hampshire.
Why does this guy make something so simple sound so confusing?
More points = good
points = rewards
😆I mean I try my best to communicate everything clearly I think it was pretty solid! lol
They never do anything for drivers, They just take and take.
Imo this at least makes it easier for more dashers to qualify for higher paying offers. We'll see how it plays out in the field
