thanks for this vid. great stuff. was just in Creede last summer with my twin sons and we had such an amazing time exploring. The Silver Thread is such an incredible drive and Creede was the most mind blowing part of it for us. We also went to the Last Chance Mine and drove up that road quite a ways on our self styled tour. The mountains surrounding Creede are utterly awesome.
+Rod Halverson: Thanks Rod, we couldn't have enjoyed our time more. Everyone there was so helpful and pleasant. Being Colorado natives, we still can't believe we'd never gone over the pass and played in the Creede area. We already have a couple of trips planned for 2016.
So far we've been back twice since we filmed this just to visit and take in a play - and of course pull a trout or two out of the Rio Grand. One of the most amazing places in Colorado - and being natives we've visited a lot of them.
Kara, Let's connect. Jordan is a graduate of the Lamont School of Music at DU - woodwinds. We'll be over in July for "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". Might be fun playing with Sax and Stings.
Hi Kara, if you want to play with a sax and bass duet Jordan says he's game. We have all the audio and video equipment to record a minute or two youtube piece that we could post on both of our channels. I'm thinking multi-camera and drone. We would just have to pick a cool spot or two somewhere around Creede. Email me at touristtrekking@gmail.com if it's something you might be interested in playing with.
I really have to comment on how she says " A GROUP OF PEOPLE ". That group of people was " THE CREEDE JAYCEE'S AND JAYCEETTES. " they actually started the theatre and there was actually an ongoing show put on by the local people and founder of the Theatre Carl Helflin. The play was written and produced by Alton Cole about Bob Ford the killer of Jessie James. I was a can can girl in that play in the early 60"s. The play ran up till the Kansas kids came in and the first few years they did not run the Theatre. the Jaycees did. They took it over ltterly from the Jaycees and Jayceette's.
We designed and built our teardrop to offroad behind the Trooper and it sure fits our way of travel. We love to drag it on past the bigger rigs and find an out of the way spot.

My family has been in Creede since the early 1900s - many still living there. This was well done, thank you.

Used to snowmobile and dirt bike there all the timer. Live in Pagosa. Awesome off-road adventure land.

He's Kenneth Chenevert. Laid that down in one take in my studio on a guitar he'd never touched before. You can find him on FB!
I’m a resident here and for anyone wanting to come don’t go on July 4th weekend please
I came here looking for where Robert Ford was killed. The city is very beautiful!
