They actually remaking the game? Or is Ubisoft just saying that to shut us up, cuz they've been hinting and saying that they're making it and then never mention it ever. I think that they know that single player games can't have mega greedy microtransactions in them so they stray away from making single player games and focus on trying to become the next multiplayer cash cash cow.
BroGamer32 Ikr finished every mission on perfectionist with 100% stealth AND 100% panther ( cant be arsed to do 100% assault ). They should've released 10-15 extra missions , I would've paid for them as dlc too but alas.
Yeah, I would have definitely paid something for a 10-mission pack and/or a dev kit (the only dlc had like 2 missions and I didn't bother paying for it); my main regret is that they didn't keep Ironside as the voice of Sam
They changed these characters completely. Sam - Grim relationship was like Old man - teenager relationship. They always joked around how Sam is too old and how grim is too young. Sam never was a leader. he was very smart, but he was the kind of man who followed orders and followed them perfectly. He had a dark sense of humor and always messed around when interrogating. That's all that was necessary to make him interesting.. no need to strip off his sense of humor and make him all serious. it kinda worked in Conviction (cos he was depressed and all) but not here.
Just beat the game a few days ago and was very impressed on how it turned out compared to this original demo, but damn the sonar goggles they showcase here are way better. you cant see the environment for junk on the current infrareds
never skip the game, i got in this part really sudden it used ak47 its easy to execute when ak47 is not be pick up but it did manytimes when you go that part ==' they all notice me and that missile is there too

Doctor Gordon I agree they should have removed it. But they should have not promised it in the first place. I would have liked to use the Paladin to get Intel on the field in real time like a satellite scan. I agree with the train scene, but I'll have to disagree with the rest.

I know what happened, and it's that 15 years ago videogames were made for challenge people and entertain, today only Dark Souls can challenge you...The games does not have that stupid crazy difficult experience that they have when playing it was only for freaks and nerds and we were punched for saying that we love videogames. The global market and the amount of money they make is what takes this industry to this level of great graphics but horrible challenges for who love play difficult things.
You have obviously not played Blacklist.... I liked Conviction too but action outweighed stealth and I could see why many SC fans were complaining. Blacklist goes back to the Chaos theory days. But if you want to play it like Conviction, you can. If you prefer stealth, the game offers u loads of it. In my opinion, Blacklist is the best SC game. Just that I miss Michael Ironside.

To be fair, the first two splinter cells were also REALLY linear. Only chaos theory really tried branching out a little, and that was only maybe 2-3 paths. Blacklist has a fair few missions, at least as many as the past games - 12 story and about 10 side missions. I really like the new mp, much smooter :) The kill counts can get a little ridiculous though.
I thought this was a very good game, you good choose to play stealthily or not. On the highest difficulty you didn't have the automatic execute which made things a lot harder and more fun (in my opinion). The game developers just try to reach a broader audience by adding these kinds of features and different possible play styles (seems like a very good choice to me and I think they succeeded in this very well). Even the multiplayer with the spies vs. mercs just stays a very awesome competitive multiplier mode for me. If you haven't played this game, I'd say pick it up, since it isn't that expensive anymore.

Hope this comment finds you well. I finished the game twice. The first time, I avoided killing as much as possible and the game rewarded you "Untouched" with a higher score, that's why I nearly unlocked everything when finishing the game. You can definitely finish the missions without killing.

In the first one you hunt the members of a Chinese backed puppet government in Georgia that stole nukes and would attack the US, in Pandora Tomorrow you hunt a guerrilla that was backed and betrayed by the CIA thus the take revenge on US citizens and in Chaos Theory you hunt a rogue Japanese General that is holding Japan hostage with a nuke and started a war between North and South Korea. Did you even play the games?
Im about half way through the game and I LOVE IT! Story is amazing. Gameplay and visuals are breath taking. Weapon customization is sick. Mission in Navy Pier in Chicago is amazing. This is a must buy.

I'm not sure about the killing multiple enemies at once, I used to like going through the map planning on how to kill the enemies without being noticed, now it's like you just run straight through them? I don't know obviously I haven't played it but it looks like they've taken a massive part of the game out, or is it just me?

The next Splinter Cell should be slower paced and they should bring back the light bar and - most importantly - the sound bar. They also need to bring back those sweet analoge Chaos Theory controls, i.e give Sam 10 or so different speeds to move in rather than make his movements as binary as in this game.
This game gave me the best time of my life... i enjoyed playing the whole holidays (Summer) with my best friend :D we had everything and where at the top 100 but then... we lost all progression and quit the game... but it was still the best and funniest experience :P *hoping for a new splinter cell* :D
so splinter cell went from a realistic type gameplay where you take 1 tango down and hide the body or accidently get caught with only 2 tangos and die or fail the mission , to , being able to take 4 guys out at once in a slow motion, that's so unrealistic . I'm sorry but after chaos theory I stopped liking where splinter cell was headed.

You are absolutely right, but I am not talking about that. I'm saying they are using the Current Assassins creed game engine for Splinter Cell. That's what it looks like to me. It doesn't look from the ground up.
Not every mission works the same. There are times where you are allowed to kill freely, others you are not allowed to touch anybody at all (pass several enemies unnoticed), there will always be consequences if you are spotted (more or tougher enemies, locked doors, traps, etc.), but I think the game is rather flexible on how easily you are spotted, if compared to the Metal Gear games. I've been playing for some 8 hours and haven't finished the campaign yet, IMO this game is awesome.
Conviction had better textures, but less effects than this games. From an aesthetic perspective, this game looks less impressive because every texture looks a little bit too much greysh and less detailed, compared to Conviction. But from a techical perspective the engine Blacklist uses is more complex than Conviction's. But both have really bland light and shadow effects, not as complex and gradual or realistic as they were in Chaos Theory. Chaos Theory had a really more complex lighting system, which showed much more degrees of light between an area in broad light and one in full darkness. And I'm talking about a game from NINE years ago. When I saw the way light, darkness and shadow effects were handled in Blacklist my first thought was: Are you f-ing kidding me? It was like the engine struggled to do what the developers wanted to achieve. If you play the game you can clearly see there is no realistic stransition from darkess to clear visibility and vice versa or lighting affecting the way the character models look, except for a really sudden and not realistic change, like an "on-off" switch.

But the unofficial story is: Michael Ironside really hated the stories of these games(something he said on multiple occasions during interviews), because he's a pacifist.

+The Top Comment King MGS was never a typical stealth game, it always had a lot of action parts and boss fights. SC used to be, but they completely screwed it up with Conviction, which tried to be a Jason Bourne rip-off and abandoned the series' roots. I'd say Splinter Cell is a better stealth series, but MGS might have better games, especially with Phantom Pain.
SC only excels at being a better stealth simulator, but MGS is up there in terms of memorability and the characters and it's also more open in deciding to approach a situation (rambo style/ghost/clutch with tranq pistol)

I remember when I was like 14 looking at this game, was super excited but at the same time kind of worried, different actor, different play style, splinter cell had some missteps and I wasn't sure if this game would correct them or not.

I'm not sure about the killing multiple enemies at once, I used to like going through the map planning on how to kill the enemies without being noticed, now it's like you just run straight through them? I don't know obviously I haven't played it but it looks like they've taken a massive part of the game out, or is it just me?

The next Splinter Cell should be slower paced and they should bring back the light bar and - most importantly - the sound bar. They also need to bring back those sweet analoge Chaos Theory controls, i.e give Sam 10 or so different speeds to move in rather than make his movements as binary as in this game.
Being realistic - not gonna happen. Blacklist was a good compromise.

This game gave me the best time of my life... i enjoyed playing the whole holidays (Summer) with my best friend :D we had everything and where at the top 100 but then... we lost all progression and quit the game... but it was still the best and funniest experience :P *hoping for a new splinter cell* :D

so splinter cell went from a realistic type gameplay where you take 1 tango down and hide the body or accidently get caught with only 2 tangos and die or fail the mission , to , being able to take 4 guys out at once in a slow motion, that's so unrealistic . I'm sorry but after chaos theory I stopped liking where splinter cell was headed.
The mark and execute isnt necessary. The perfectionist difficulty doesnt even have mark and execute. I played the old games too and i love blacklist. Its badass

It's sad how the reception to this game was at that time, people were spoiled and they didn't know it, this was peak ubisoft gameplay, have a good look at this boys we are never getting anything even close to this anymore.

You are absolutely right, but I am not talking about that. I'm saying they are using the Current Assassins creed game engine for Splinter Cell. That's what it looks like to me. It doesn't look from the ground up.

Not every mission works the same. There are times where you are allowed to kill freely, others you are not allowed to touch anybody at all (pass several enemies unnoticed), there will always be consequences if you are spotted (more or tougher enemies, locked doors, traps, etc.), but I think the game is rather flexible on how easily you are spotted, if compared to the Metal Gear games. I've been playing for some 8 hours and haven't finished the campaign yet, IMO this game is awesome.

is it me or conviction looks better than this?
Conviction had better textures, but less effects than this games.
From an aesthetic perspective, this game looks less impressive because every texture looks a little bit too much greysh and less detailed, compared to Conviction.
But from a techical perspective the engine Blacklist uses is more complex than Conviction's.
But both have really bland light and shadow effects, not as complex and gradual or realistic as they were in Chaos Theory.
Chaos Theory had a really more complex lighting system, which showed much more degrees of light between an area in broad light and one in full darkness.
And I'm talking about a game from NINE years ago.
When I saw the way light, darkness and shadow effects were handled in Blacklist my first thought was:

It was like the engine struggled to do what the developers wanted to achieve.
If you play the game you can clearly see there is no realistic stransition from darkess to clear visibility and vice versa or lighting affecting the way the character models look, except for a really sudden and not realistic change, like an "on-off" switch.

But the unofficial story is: Michael Ironside really hated the stories of these games(something he said on multiple occasions during interviews), because he's a pacifist.
I miss this game. I had so much fun on this. I still am hoping for a new splinter cell.

My cousins and I had a heated debate on which series was better, Metal Gear Solid ( my side) Vs. Splinter Cell (his side)
This game looks cool but won't be up to the level MGS ever had, but however this game looks really promising.

+The Top Comment King MGS was never a typical stealth game, it always had a lot of action parts and boss fights. SC used to be, but they completely screwed it up with Conviction, which tried to be a Jason Bourne rip-off and abandoned the series' roots. I'd say Splinter Cell is a better stealth series, but MGS might have better games, especially with Phantom Pain.
SC only excels at being a better stealth simulator, but MGS is up there in terms of memorability and the characters and it's also more open in deciding to approach a situation (rambo style/ghost/clutch with tranq pistol)

Why excluded that part of the game? I liked the game more interrogations were very weak, had not this part of the video and convction Fishe was very violent time for questioning! Too bad I lack the element of interrogation! Why Ubisoft?
oohh yea I remember that from conviction...they gave you the option the smash people around the room and bash their heads in mirros and stuff...I think they removed it because this story is less personal...I that game he was angry as hell because of his daughter and shit
I remember when I was like 14 looking at this game, was super excited but at the same time kind of worried, different actor, different play style, splinter cell had some missteps and I wasn't sure if this game would correct them or not.
