    I just love how Emma casually drops Japanese words in conversation いちご大福, シュークリーム, "a little bit of 面倒くさい" I totally get it, that's how I speak too 😛

    15:25 I live in Atami and they have amazing fireworks displays every month and 4 in August. Next is 16th September. You should definitely visit! 🎆 the last fireworks event 20,000 people showed up, so like Emma said it gets busy!

    I had a quick stop in Atami on my way to explore the Izu peninsula. The sun sets on the west coast can be spectacular, but are bested by the sun rises along the eastern coast. The Izu Panarama Park is worth the journey for some great shots of Mt. Fuji.

    Love that beach in Atami. So close to the station. It's so nice to juat chill there especially at night. There would still be a few people there chilling or groups of friends playing with fireworks and having a night swim. Great vibes!

  • @janusu

    Just came back from Japan a couple days ago after a three-week visit. The heat really was next level! I'd lived in Japan years ago and knew it was bad. I remember I used to take a shower at least twice a day in summer when I lived in Osaka. But when we stepped off the plane at Haneda in mid-August and that heat hit us in the face I realized I'd kinda forgotten just how intense it can be. We enjoyed several frozen treats on our visit; kakigori, several types of ice cream bars from the conbini, and I got to have my favorite flavor soft cream a couple times, kurogoma (black sesame). I looked for the suika bar (the watermelon ice bar) in several conbini but could not find it anywhere 😕. And I think we tried a nice pudding soft cream while visiting Shirakawago, but I think we neglected to try any simple, straight up puddings anywhere. So now I'm gonna have to go back.

    Hey Emma. I'm a loyal viewer and when I watch a video put out by any member of Tokyo Creative I'm always reminded how much I wish America would convert to the Metric and Celsius systems. When ever I hear someone say the temp is 30 and feels like 40, and they're hot instead of cold, it totally throws me for a loop. It takes a bit before I realize what's happening.

    Would be great if you added a brief voice over on how to get to the destination from Tokyo and estimated travel time. Can you get to it by train or bus or does it require a car or shinkansen?

    • @TokyoCreativePlay
      @TokyoCreativePlay  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can get to Atami from Tokyo by local trains (around ¥1500-¥2,000), express trains, shinkansen (around ¥3500) or by car. Bus is probably the least recommended method.

    Do you have to slurp if the noodles are cold? 🤔🤔🤔 Isn't the whole point of slurping to cool down the food?
    Just random thoughts.... 😆

    • @AUCKata
      @AUCKata 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I never heard about the slurping cools down food but my Japanese teacher did say Japanese cooks and chefs love when people slurp their noodles because they take it as a sign that you are enjoying their dish.
