Loved this one. Such a good perspective to have about not getting a big buck versus not being able to hunt anymore. Such a great reminder for everyone getting out in the woods this fall and to never take it for granted. Always a blessing from Him to wake up each day! Never forget it
Yes. Bobby is hands down the best big woods hunter ever. More deer featured on the cover of north American whitetail than anyone ever. He's considered the best, by a lot of the best!!
Def a great man! Great Christian! Dedicated his life to wildlife! And gave me advice and tips on my property when I emailed him! Bill is another one! Not only are these guys good hunters land land mangers they are also more than happy to share their vast Knowledge with other hunters that share their passion for all wildlife God Bless you both!
Btw we Love yalls Show great guest and conversations. The hunting videos are nice additions! Jeramy just saw the Ohio 9 pt. Good shooting. Been watching regularly last couple years.
Spread 600 lbs fertilizer, 50lbs zinc, 50 lbs boron, 50 copper, 25 kelp, 15 lbs selenium. 300lbs trace mineral salt. All by hand. Laying in hotel coors lt and ibuprofen.
I wish I could explain to you guys how much this gentleman meant to me as a child. Growing up with no one in my life that was into hunting fishing or improving habitat for wildlife I couldn't give him enough thanks and I actually punched a food plot in behind my house as a 9-year-old by hand on the side of a canyon an planted My first clover plot because of this gentleman right here. that started my whole obsession over deer I have thought for the last 3 years straight how cool it would be to have him come on the show. And fun fact I watched your guys's episode starting at 38 and it was the same with him. I watched his episodes every week from episode 38 forward
There couldn't be more truth to what he's saying 1:53:27 everybody always thinks it's the big bucks running county to county but the older they get the smaller their home ranges they'll breed the handful of those that are available and focus on surviving versus the two and a half to five and a half year olds that just want to get something wet
1:06:10 native americans also seem to be responsible for taking the american chestnut out of the the deep south at the end of the ice age, and spreading it all the way to maine. There wasnt enough time after the ice age to european arrival, for the trees to have naturally progressed their range that far. And native Americans absolutely loved chestnut trees. So put the two together and it looks they took the nuts with them out of the south and put the trees everywhere
To be honest with you it shouldn’t, i have a bear skull in my house from the bear i harvested 4 years ago during PA archery, its over 23inches, would be a bear that gets to stay in boone and crockett permanently, i dont feel like having it scored, so its not in the book. People just dont get stuff put into books anymore
Great episode, love Dr Woods basic explanation. One thing I think was strange, everyone he brought up, he would say “we are still friends”…why would you need to say that over and over.
One of the MOST INFORMATIVE podcast episodes you’ve had!!!
