      Lol! yep, I noticed that after. I meant cheaper tape of the premium stuff, not the crappy, cheap, generic grey standard duct tape.

    For the record, nowadays this'll cost more. Just went to the store;
    - Pea Gravel was $4.68 each
    - Contractor Bags were $27 for a 30 pack of thick, 7 Mil bags
    - Duct Pro tape was same specs as Gorilla (saw no extra wide) and was ~$7 vs Gorilla ~$10
    All in, ~$37 to make the one bag, though cheaper as you make more since contractor bags ate up the most cost.
    Still way cheaper than buying a Cerberus bag for $90 online. You either pay in time or money.

    You could even make handles. Wrap loops around bag make maybe 10 loops per handle then stuck duct tape to the handle area so its not sticky.

    I actually just recently did this but with 2 50lb bags of cat litter, and no contractor bags. I just duct tape'd the heck out of them. the pea gravel would have apparently been cheaper though.

    Instead of using a bunch of duct tape do you think buying a roll of stretch wrap and using that would be more cost efficient and sturdy?

    • @badgercrossfit

      Sure! Great idea. We've never done it, but it sounds like a great solution. Thanks!

    Ok since my last store heavyduty strongman sandbag ripped within a few months i will have to try this. Is it really strong enough with just the duct tape? Or is it cheap enough to replace when it breaks? I don't have that much money and i need something that will last. The price is indeed amazing compared to store bought.

      Updated: i got the materials today for around 25 euros here in the netherlands. I did not try it out yet besides lifting it and it allready feels way more durable then my last " special " online crossfit sandbag. I almost bought another one online with the canvas bag, tie wrap, ring and ball method. For 80 euros... but when i asked if they could tell me if it was durable... all they could give me was the websites info... hoping the selfmade one will last. It was fun making it 😃👍🏻

    Add a strap and go length wise for a handle and one could do farmer’s walk 🤙 as well
