All female figs in the line should have the same size neck ball joint. Baroness, Zarana, Scarlett, and Lady Jaye all have disguise as they main specialty so swapping heads is super important for story telling. I'm shocked that they would not even make Baroness swappable with her previous versions. Super disappointing.
Swap ability and universal neck pegs would be huge!! They know we like to customize help us out a bit. They would sell even more figs
Super disappointed about the Baroness heads not being interchangeable. Had things all planned out to use more of these heads on the older figures, guess not.
Personally I'm thrilled to have these. The Joecon Crimson sets were on my want lists for so long and I never ended up getting any. So here now I can. I've always preferred the twins in Crimson so I'm in the opposite boat. I don't need the originals now really. I'll keep them but this is my preferred look.
Well then you are going to love this set so it’s perfect for you. If you want to use the heads on the previous bodies I’d suggest modding the neck pegs rather than the heads.
I was wondering if I could swap the heads of my baroness figures I have the three released in the 6 in at this point. That is disappointing to learn that it’s locked into one iteration of her

I personally love the Crimson scheme, so I didn’t think twice when I pre-ordered this. I’d have rather them release just Baroness as a deluxe figure, but they wouldn’t be able to sell those Tomax and Xamot repaints on their own for sure.

I agree. I bet we get another Baroness with this mold in the Cobra Blue scheme. I think the Twins would’ve sold alone but a second head sculpt for both would’ve been better

I wouldn't count on there being no more Crimson. ;) There was a Crimson Destro in 2009. They could also re-issue the Crimson Guard with a new headsculpt and call them the Crimson Guard Immortals. :)

I'd be happy to get stands with all action figures. They help for action poses/ running that are otherwise unstable.

I have the Crimson Viper. The 3pack I just got charged for them. Hopefully they won't have any issues. Tunnel Rat, FireFly, Low-Light all have QC problems.

I got my confirmation email the other day from Pulse for this, so hopefully I’ll have it pretty soon. Going to put my Pimp Daddy Destro with this set. And yeah, the price kinda hurt my bank account, but overall, the set looks great

Would like to correct you, this is actually the "3rd shot" of the Crimson Strike Team when a remake of the set in 25th anniversary sculpt had been released in 2009 at their annual GIJoe Convention.

Universal neck peg, seems simple. This was such a good review, balanced, made great points both good and bad. I ordered the set, it should be on the way soon since it just charged.

It is disappointing that Hasbro is using our love for the updated Baroness to gouge our wallets. However, if the figures are $25 a piece, you're already looking at a $75 base price. So really you're paying $15 for the elaborate box. Did we need the elaborate box? Probably not, but I get why it's at that price range. That said, I am looking forward to a double-jointed, bicep-cut, Baroness. :)
She is worth her price for sure, the updated scar on Xamot. But with the twins at clearance you could buy them and paint them for less

Not worth buying it just for the Baroness which is the only figure I'm interested in due to it being her crimson suit and has updated articulation. So yeah i cancelled this one and it shipped sooner than expected. I know hasbro will eventually give us repaints with that mold eventually

I justified my purchase because I was going to use the other heads with the retro and Cobra Island baroness (especially since my CI Baroness looks wonky) but it's a huge disappointment the heads won't swap. If mine wasn't already on the way I would have cancelled. Not cool hasbro, especially since the twins have nothing new. Super lame.
You could always mod the pegs to be interchangeable. There’s cheap ones on eBay and Etsy

Sadly no. My suggestion would be to modify the neck peg on the retro version. There’s 3D options out there
17:07 now *_that_* is a disappointment. I recall the origins baroness had a different neck peg (or maybe it was a significantly longer neck 🤔). Got an email alert yesterday that pulse was charging my account for that set, so I guess it's only a matter of time before it arrives.
Literally bought that fortnite red cat figure yesterday from Ross and left two sets of crimson twins behind. I like your customs of the twins, leaving the shoulders grey. Already got extra twins to put on suit bucks, but maybe other creative color choices to custom paint might be worth picking up more... just finding the time and skill to do so are entirely different issues.
What suited figure are you using? I wanted to do the same with my twins…
@@moclaudio3588I picked up 2 Jigsaw Walgreens exclusive figures. Most other ML suited figures are too skinny except Jigsaw. This matters because the Twins are actually pretty jacked and have a lot of muscles popping out.
Thank you. I used Professor X for my twins. A tad too skinny and I thought Hammerhead was a tad too big. We need an in between. Finding the time is the key for sure.
@BaldyLockz about a yeat ago I got a couple of the ML hammerhead on cardback, but unfortunately its peg was too big for a twin head, I also got a couple of basic miz figs, but those have limited articulation. The agent Ross, like that Xavier, seems too small a build for the twins. Odd that now the store *_Ross_* Dress for Less has the crimson twins and the ML carded hammerhead figs for $5.99 each. Maybe shaving down the hammerhead neck peg is the better of solution options.

Is the skin tone the same on the twins (crimson and regular release)?
No, the tone is different. Minimal but enough to notice. The hair color is more of a matte finish as well.

Objectively, the set is slightly overpriced. But, the 2002 JoeCon was the first I went to, so I've got a heavy emotional connection to the Crimson Strike Team Set. I pre-ordered this set as soon as it went up, and it looks like I will enjoy it. Right now I'm at 3 Crimson Vipers, and over the next couple of years I do plan to get a full compliment of 12.
Yes, the connection is the most important part when grabbing these figs so I’m glad you have that and you’ll really enjoy this set. And I would keep my eyes open. I bet you’ll be able to grab the Crimson Vipers on some sort of crazy sale in the coming weeks. Good luck!
