- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 3 มิ.ย. 2024
- Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

Hey guys. Welcome to another episode at Haulover Inlet brought by your favorite channel Boat Zone !! Don't forget to subscribe...
Why aren't these people in Church
@@VisualLearningDesign - 'Cause - you sure as hell don't need to be in church to pray.
As a former Coast Guardsman who was stationed for Four years at Indian River Inlet, Delaware, I can barely watch these videos. Especially the ones with young children involved who are not wearing PFDs. It is the height of stupidity by parents. They should be fined.
You are absolutely correct. When something bad happens it occurs very quickly. And a bad situation only gets worse. They just think “it’s not going to happen to me”. Until it’s too late.
When I tell folks from other countries, you don't need a license to drive a 50 ft boat, first they don't believe me. Then they can't believe IT!
Marjory Taylor Green says that children should not be forced into wearing life jackets!
@@seethingsclearlyawaken3424 - Yeah. Well she of the bleach blonde, bad built, butch body is also a DA.
Then again, Americans are world renowned for their stupidity so not the least surprising .
01:16 - *BBBLLORRRRGH!* Ha ha ha! That was AWESOME! Oh man, that's legend right there. It's _also_ why you wear goggles, and maybe even a helmet while out in waves like that.
I’m glad I was able to experience the pre cell phone and pre drone world
Those were the days, jumping my 16 foot Boston Whaler off the tops of 6 footers. Busted up three of those wooden consoles. The hull is still as good as new.
Wow the stress cycles put on the hull of that Beneteau.
Imagine the stress on a WW2 PT boat doing it's rated 40kts in 12 foot seas.
I can hear the stringers letting go.
Would never catch me on the back of a Jet Ski in that condition. Driving by myself all day good video
That one guy in the zodiac got a nice little chiropractic adjustment
He got a little concussion thrown in for free with that adjustment
Corona and a baby!! Im sure 1 came before the other! Gotta have priorities.
SAVE MY BEER!!!!......and my baby if there's time
The Bayliner was the first clue. Dead giveaway.
The Sea was rough that day my friend 🎉
Like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli.
I believe the sea was "very" rough that day my friends...
Minor inlet chop, the seas get rough.
We use to go in and out of Haulover in my old 16' woody with a 25 hp Evinrude, no problem, just ride the waves, don't fight them. Most of this is for show but some of it is plain crazy.
Everglades had a Great Showing♧♧♧
Beneteau has been around forever. The driver of that boat… not so long.
David, years ago when I was into sailing, we called them "Bend-in Two ! "
That jet ski stuffing is beautiful. Nothing like a hundred gallons of seawater in your face. Impressive he held on!!
Can you imagine the hydraulic force the see doo riders experienced when going submersible? 😂
Yes, eight hundred times more than the air they were just going through.
He got his sinuses cleaned out...
awesome boats an shots..
The guy in the Beneteau had no idea, why would you almost come to a stop in that chop? Take that speargun off the air guitarist before someone loses an eye.
It was unload 😂
I've never piloted anything as big as that Beneteau but I know you don't just idle in the cut and take breaker after breaker, GTFO
The speargun wasn’t loaded but the idiot holding it was.
2:40 South Point taking something for a ride
Trải nghiệm tuyệt vời
I was just checking out some of the videos and yours definitely caught my attention. Great video with excellent idea of what works: simplicity. Nice work and I truly wish you much success!😊
Old Formula doesn’t look right with 4 outboards !
I like the waves
It's tragic, so many over crowded boats, drinking with young children on board and not a life jacket in sight,is there no law to stop these idiots going to sea.
Amazing how many people in little boats bobbing like corks aren’t wearing life jackets.
0:40 - If you care more about this boat than your family, then give them to me.🙄🤦💎💞
Boat #1. The mother is sucking back a beer while holding a child. That child (despite wearing a PFD) is as good as dead if the mother or other adults who are NOT wearing PFDs go overboard. In that chop, it would only take one small lung full of water. Where the hell are the police?
Dude in the Formula is a baller.
Nothing like waving a speargun around while standing up showing off to the camera in rough weather leaving Haulover. . I mean what could possibly go wrong🤷♂️
A well respected mariner once said there is much you can do at sea with common sense, and very little you can do without it.
Of course the majority of these haulover buffoons have no intention of going to sea. There goal is to try and impress everyone with there grossly overpowered machines whilst they pound themselves into oblivion on there way to the nearest sand bar.
Well said.
The bigger the boat, the smoother the ride is
In Hawaii the standard measurement between swells is about fifty five feet. If you have a boat that big or bigger you generally glide between swells. If it’s smaller you frequently end up bobbing around like a cork. We generally have deeper V’s and flared bows in order to compensate for rougher waters
Not always, it depends a lot on the Captain. Captain Keith Tight lines
Wow, a Gyrocopter!
Cool
fully agree
Every time I see conditions like that, i have to ask "WHY"? Only way I'd even think about going out would be if I owned a 40' Cat.
. It horrifies and scares me but I’m old so…. Where exactly is this in. Florida. Mimi Area??? My back hurts just watching it
Was that the yacht captain spread across the dashboard 😂
Salt water blasting up your nose has to be the worst
It's an acquired taste.
It is the worst. Ugh now I can't stop thinking about it.
The guy waving the speargun around has to be one of the stupidest things ever.
I would like to see a STEEL HULL (displacement hull might be a better term) compilation....something like Bering's line of yachts.
I thought that Bayliner at the start of the video was going down. The person operating it was in way over his head.
Have you ever run an inlet?
@@AlbertHess-xy7ky No, I live 1000 miles away from the ocean, and have no real interest in going back. I have done enough boating in rivers and to know the difference between someone that knows how to deal with the weather and someone that is in over his head. That guy was in over his head and had no clue how to read the water.
Wind against tide. Bad times.
I would never dare to take this tiny Bayliner out into the Ocean,
When your peeing water out the front bilge and back bilge it’s time to call it.
Does the water calm down once you get out of the inlet?
I’ve watch May of these video’s. I don’t know how there are not ‘many’ serious accidents & drownings…..
There’s nowhere to go!
Hey lady! Put down the beer and hold on to your child.
Goes to show the 119 ft Yacht bobs around just like the 25 foot boat.
Little girl is wearing a ski type life pfd. But should have the orangefloatsyoufaceup on.
Can someone explain why so many boats seemingly traverse the perilous waters of the inlet only to turn right back around and head back in? I've seen it so often in these videos....
The inlet is undefeated so they use common sense.
They just need to pass the cameras and the mission is complete.
that everglades dont care about nothing
An old angler from Florida said to me don’t ever by a Florida boat now you no why.
Love it man I was the one on the SeaVee with the speargun choppy day great video brother 👍👌
Padres irresponsables ponen la vida de los niños en peligro. Una niña llega a golpearse la cara contra el barco. Esto es inadmisible!!!!
Why are outboards such a big thing in Florida?
They are in most places now. Easier to msintain or replace.
As a kayaker and sailor I wear a PFD as a matter of course, I spend quite a bit of time surf kayaking and at the end of a day surfing I’ll always have a swim, it feels totally alien and unsafe to be out on the sea without my PFD so I’ll often be found swimming with it still on. These folks seem oblivious to how quickly a decent day on the water can go wrong, given that children are fairly ignorant of the danger why aren’t parents instilling them with some sort of safety awareness and insisting they wear some safety gear? Are there any requirements for boat owners to have any sort of training?
Beneteau may have been founded in 1884, but it was almost flounded in 2024....
To the ones watching with the child, zoom in you can see she is wearing a pink colored flotation device of sort. I'm not sure if it's a legit life vest but definitely a life vest of sort. It was the first thing that angered me watching the video and looked much closer at it. I don't have kids so I'm not sure if they make official life vests in that style.
The little girl in the first one did have a life jacket on. The mom drinking alcohol while holding her was pretty stupid though.
Why did the Canadoo look like it had mismatched engines?
8:22 The guys in that Canados boat had the sliding door wide open. Great way to ruin the interior guys.
Purpose of "Founded in xxxx"?
Why is it I never see a boat being drivin my a middle age woman with a bunch of Chads on board???
7:37 please tell me there’s not people out there eating barracuda
Why does anyone EVER use that inlet??? At least, why do they not check & double check the weather/tide/waves beforehand?
Also, I wouldn't trust a Bayliner on a lake much less waves like that!!!
Because it's dangerous. People love to see if they can conquer dangerous situations just to say they did.
Life’s busy, some times you only have one free day to hit the water in weeks
What are these boats doing wrong?
Ummm, idk if I've ever seen two dudes on a Jet Ski. Whatever works I suppose.
I see lots of boats with NO registration numbers?
They don’t even try to take the wave at an angle nope just hale marry right through it .
I totally agree with the guy in the been has no beneteau has should be banned from running a dinghy never mind a small yacht.
Wow what happened to common sense 😡
Lol none of that at haulover
Its the least common of all the sense,s.
Looks fun....
But dont have time to do water in this lifetime....
Has there ever been any collisions by reckless pilots of boats?……..just curious
Good place to be a chiropractor
Why even attempt to go out when it's that rough
I haven’t watched this channel in quite a while because I got fed up with the lack of attention to safety especially in regards to kids not being secure and wearing life jackets. Nothing has changed.
I would think that some of these people are doing this just so they will get filmed by you
4:25 Thank you Officer
They didn't do anything
@@Cornbreadpuddn dat ass
And not 1 life vest or PFD is needed . I didn’t know Florida had a no life vest required law
The only waters the state is responsible for are the lakes and rivers. The bays and inlets open to the sea the coast guard is responsible for
That first child is actually wearing a floatation swimsuit. You can see the stitched in foam inserts in the suit. There’s 4 across the back and 4 on the front that are visible.
@SwitchbackXThunter - Oh, yeah. I can see it now. Didn't even know such a thing existed. I see she was using it as padding as she was repeatedly thrown against the gunnels. She did *_not_* look like she was enjoying the ride.
Very rare in the posted videos. Most are irresponsible boaters.
With all the inherent dangers that come along when using an inlet I'm of the opinion that it should be used strictly as a means
to get in/out of port. In this short run of water, no one should be swimming there except for accidentally plunging in? Also no
fishing at least from boats should be going on and jet-skiers should not perform tricks by jumping waves or boat wakes as to
keep people from falling into the water. Everyone should be able to use the inlet but I think they use it & then go play up/down
the coast = don't play inside that short area of the cut itself. OR let fishing line with hooks be entangled on jet skier's & boat
propellers and don't forget doing all this with swimmers as well? Do as thou wilt..... I don't think so. peace & be safe
-- No, she can't put the beer down.
No, she doesn't need a life jacket.
And NO she doesn't care about that child's safety. *Report her to CPS!*
All the gear and no idea.
Never before have I seen so many nice boats with so many rubbish captain's
idiots not putting lifejackets on kids.
These captains don't appear to know how to throttle with the sea.
Can't Americans afford life jackets. It's mandatory for any boats under 6 metres in my country. Even larger boats that run specific tourist excursions will require you to wear one.
Looks like that little girl WAS wearing a lifejacket
Children's swimsuits with built-in life jackets are not always USCG approved.
@@BoatZone Excellent point. If youre a parent, make sure to check your kids PFD's that theyre approved. And your own.
does it really matter since the chick was more concerned with not spilling her beer than giving hte kid a concussion ?
@@BoatZone - True. Why is this? Because they aren't designed to keep the child's face out of the water if they're unconscious. Just makes it easier to find the body.
What is it with florida boat owners, seams 9 out of ten have no clue how important it is to trim the bow up in those conditions.Baffled beyond belief.....
They should either close the inlet or make it a mandatory life vest zone. These goofballs are not smart enough to do the right thing.
the child had a pink life jacket on. Stop being an alarmist.
@haywoodjay385 how long do you think a child would last in that water even With a life jacket? Her head was banging against the side--- good parenting!
Still waiting to see a Superyacht get slammed.
The lack of life jackets is staggering. The majority of boat handling skills is poor at best
Another young child with no life preserver on. Parents too busy drinking.
J'en revien juste pas de voir des enfant pas de ceinture de sauvetage belle gang d'insouciant sa devrait être jugé criminel
Boating brings out the idiot in a lot of people, especially when it comes to having young children on board.
Are all people in the USA 🇺🇸 this irresponsible? There is so many videos on them 😅
someone should name one of those huge yachts, " Greta Doomsberg "
I feel like fishing in haulover is a serious lapse of critical thinking.
seems like they just want to be seen go out turn around and come back as fast as they can , I have been a fan but now I am over the stupidity
Where is the Joy in Running your boat into “Harms Way” not to mention yourself and passengers? This is beyond Crazy! Too much Money!🤮🤮🤮
Keep the kiddos HOME!!! They don’t enjoy this whatsoever!!
