I'm a heat fan, and i got Steph and Luka as 1 and 2 my fav players so this one is interesting to me. If heat don't win, I'd rather Steph wins the chip and gets his first FMVP. But if the heat makes the finals, I'd rather play the mavericks because I like that matchup better. So going into this series I really can't choose who to support I'm just hoping for a fantastic series and that both my fav players ball tf out. Got the warriors in 5 tho

Golden State is experienced in defending iso-heavy teams, and in the last few years, the Dubs have been successful in winning playoff series against iso-heavy teams. Therefore, it's fair to say that Golden State will provide a tougher challenge for Dallas compared to Phoenix.

Warriors motion offensively is so difficult to guard and requires significant amounts of energy that can take away from what you're able to do offensively, the Warriors are conditioned differently than other teams for this. I think that's a huge factor in this series that most people won't acknowledge, Luka will need help from others to win this series. I also think that between Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Poole they have alot of ways to beat you offensively, i think that Mavs being a smaller team actually could play into the Warriors hands because unlike the Suns Warriors don't heavily rely on big man play which is a good attack point for the Mavs offense

I agree that the warriors are probably the hardest team to defend, yet, I think Dallas in this area has a certain advantage over other teams. Dallas can have Bullock, DFS, Frank, Jalen, Powell or Kleber chasing Steph, Clay and Poole during the entire game and yet our offense can still work

Dallas fan here. I find it interesting that Kendrick Perkins in a recent segment said that he was concerned for the Warriors due how they struggled with Memphis, boldly saying that Phoenix or Dallas would sweep them. Two things. Number one, Golden State isn't getting swept, number two, they're never going to blow a 3-1 lead ever again.
Even as a Dallas fan I know that they're not going to sweep Golden State.

The mavs especially Luka could get what they want offensively against suns because their energy was still there because they weren’t extorting much against phoenix defensively. That won’t be the case against Warriors as Pat Bev said they gotta chase everyone around because of how gs play. Luka and the others will definitely be tired, it will make it harder for them. Not saying Luka won’t still get his 30 but it will definitely take a lot of energy from him. Not to mention this will be Draymonds easiest defensive series cause he won’t be guarding no really skilled bigs like Jokic, or JJJ from Memphis.
Jokic couldn't play the end of each game because he's always tired from the offensive styles of the GSW the only reason Memphis won game 5 with a large margin is because they felt they can cruise through and Ja Morant wasn't playing. The only team that can give GSW trouble is Phoenix.
And mavs are a lot slower. Look at how the played against Denver. Warriors were hitting shots because they didn't have to guard all them young fast players like with the grizzlies. So I expect the warriors 3pt percentage to go back up.

Speaking as a warriors fan I’m not worried for them agains mavs. No doubt it’ll be a hard fought series but they’re simply a more skilled team overall talent wise. I’m MUCH more worried about heat and Celtics out east. That’s going to be a tough one to win 4 games but they getting it done ✅

Warriors offensive rating this is 17th in the NBA which is below average.. they have a great defense but I believe the mavericks match up very well with them…. I believe the mavericks win in 7 games… I wasn’t impressed in how they beat the Nuggets and Grizzlies…
Warriors also have Otto Porter Jr. off the bench to guard Luka that's 5 players, Dray, Wiggins, Klay, Kuminga and OPJ. The problem is to find someone quick enough and strong enough to stop Brunson. Since GP2 is out only Wiggins is quick enough and lengthy enough for Brunson but that leaves one less person to guard Luka. GSW are going to play the Mavs like they played the Nuggets let Luka eat like Jokic but stop the "others" and limit Luka's assists.
Idk how well Klay could guard Luka and same for kuminga but all respect for porter and draymond as well with Wiggins. The issue is that if the rest of the team begins to put of good numbers then they can’t send two players to guard luka. I’m a mavs fan so I am a little biased but I do believe the warriors have all favors to win this series.

If the Warriors had GP2 and Iguodala for this series it would be lights out. Those are 2 more elite defenders for Doncic, Dinwiddie, and Brunson. GP2 can wreak havoc on Dinwiddie and Brunson while Iggy could help guard Doncic. But without those 2 it's gonna be a very difficult series for the Warriors.
Well Hardaway isn’t playing for the Mavs, so it still looks evenly matched. I hope it goes 7.

The playoffs are not just the best teams, but the healthiest and most rested teams. Mavs got a refresh with the trade, and Luka's injury got him some rest. Curry, Dray, and Klay all had shortened regular seasons.

Warriors fan here. Unbiased take, if the Warriors play to their standards we win in 5 or 6. However, if we keep turning the ball over and play inconsistently (like we have been), the Mavs could win in 6 or 7

It’s why they beat okc after being down 3-1 but lost after having a 3-1 advantage. It’s why they struggled after Ja went out.
