The scene where Thor awakens his powers and jumps down to the rainbow bridge draped in lighting with Zeppelin in the background has to be one of the most underrated scenes in the mcu.
I find it VERY hard to believe that it was 80% improvised, you're telling me Marvel paid a, now Oscar winning screen writer, to write a script and 80% of the dialogue used in film wasn't his or original? I have to call BS on that. Where would they even come up with that number, it's obviously a fake statistic. I'm sure A LOT of the lines were improvised, probably more than other Marvel projects but that stat is WAY inflated. I doubt more than 15-20% of the lines weren't from Taika Waititi's original scripts, possibly a little more.

“This film has been very unexpected so far” Oh Seb you don’t know the half of it 🤣🤣 “Piss off ghost” is my brother and I’s favorite line from this movie. Anytime something around us moves randomly we just go “piss off ghost” wait a few seconds and if nothing happens we follow it up with “he’s freakin gone.” 🤣 No spoilers but the way Seb said “is that the best scene in Marvel” reminded me of how in his show Loki says “is this the greatest power in the universe” “Every line is comedy genius” believe it or not, Taika Waititi (the director and Korg) said 70-80% of this movie was improvised. There’s BTS of how they improv different jokes and dialogue, like Thor’s snake story. It’s insanely impressive that a movie that was mostly improvised turned out way better than most Marvel movies with a written and finished script

Fun fact the other Valkyrie that died in the flashback was supposed to be Tessa's character's girlfriend/love and thats why she was so impacted by it (along with the massacre of all the others but yeah)

This movies comedy was Gold, the action and plot was really fun. “I’ve been falling, FOR 30 MINUTES” made me choke on my food. And Thor’s manly scream 😂😂😂
By this point, you probably already know that the film was directed by Taika Waititi who also voices Korg. If you ever see Jojo Rabbit, he's the guy who plays Hitler. He's a testament that we kiwis are incredibly talented and hilarious. :)

Seb, your korg impression at 25:04 was *spot on!* also, Surtur was gradually growing as he was summoned so from the time loki revived him to the time Asgard was destroyed, Surtur grew from the size of Asgard's palace to Asgard itself.
This movie revived Thor. I don't think he could have stood another gritty movie. Marvel was smart doing Ragnarok this way, the "serious" approach wasn't working. And I'm glad, this movie is fantastic!
This movie really is perfect. What astounds me is how the humor just doesn't run out? Like it has a ton of jokes and you'd think the audience would get bored of them or they'd feel forced but it's just creative genius, every intended joke makes you laugh out loud. And the emotional moments of this moment are if possible even better played out than the other Thor films even though it's packed with jokes! And the cinematography and vibes are just top-notch.
I do like how complex Thanos is, but I actually love Hela more in the sense that she is more entertaining to watch than him. Most likely because of how Cate played her.

I love how they incorporate real facts from the actual Norse Mythology into the movie in clever and funny ways. Hela looks more like Loki then Thor and Odin because in the Mythology Hela is actuay Loki’s daughter, while Fenrir (the wolf) is her brother. Her magic is also green similar MCU Loki’s color to to make that reference. That whole story on how Loki turned into a snake to trick and bite Thor as a prank when they were kids is a reference to the story that Jormungandr the world serpent and The Norse mythology Thor are sworn enemies and are supposed to fight on Ragnarok. Jormungandr is ALSO Loki’s so. P.S. I know, everything about Loki in mythology are extremely weird but entertaining!

So excited for this reaction! 😊 Easily in my top 5 MCU movies, and my favorite of the "Thor" movies. Fun Fact: About 80% of this movie was improvised. Including the "he's a friend from work" line. A kid from the Make-A-Wish program visited the set, and said that line would be good in the scene. Director Taika Waititi & Chris Hemsworth loved the line, and kept in the film. Also, the "Get Help" scene between Thor and Loki was improvised by Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. I already know that this is going to be a fantastic reaction. 😊
this movie is always fighting with guardians as my favorite mcu film. they’re both so amazing and i loveeeee the dynamics in this movie. thor and Lokis dynamic is especially the highlight of the movie

One of my favorite in-universe reasons why i've heard Thor is so drastically different is that he's trying to emulate his friend from earth, Tony, because in just a few years (To an asgardian's life span being a couple months tops) Tony's been such a prominent figure in his life and helped Thor on his path in so many ways.

This was so much fun to watch. You were so in love with the movie. I mean what can we say about this, it´s just a masterpiece. So many iconic jokes and moments. I love to see character development from Loki and he looks so cool in this one. And Korg is the funniest character ever, everything that he says is pure comedy gold. Also the more we are getting to Infinity War and the more it´s being set up the more I´m nervous. We are probably not ready for it. :D
Cool Fact: Asgardians grow in power as they age. Thus it makes sense for Hela to be so strong compared to Thor. As Thor's older sister she has a few thousand years on him making her power levels close to Odin in his prime.

I'm a 55 yo gramma and not only is this my favorite MCU film it's probably in my top 20, perhaps even 10, films of all time. I've seen it more times than I can count. I actually just watched it again last week after a really bad day. Taika Waititi recognized Chris H. is a brilliant comic actor and went with it.
Korg is my favourite character in the movie and probably one of my favourites in the entirety of mcu .I remember every line he has said in the mcu by heart lmao.He's amazing... Also every time immigrant song plays in the movie it sends shivers down my spine...

I love how they incorporate real facts from the actual Norse Mythology into the movie in clever and funny ways.
Hela looks more like Loki then Thor and Odin because in the Mythology Hela is actuay Loki’s daughter, while Fenrir (the wolf) is her brother. Her magic is also green similar MCU Loki’s color to to make that reference.
That whole story on how Loki turned into a snake to trick and bite Thor as a prank when they were kids is a reference to the story that Jormungandr the world serpent and The Norse mythology Thor are sworn enemies and are supposed to fight on Ragnarok. Jormungandr is ALSO Loki’s so.
P.S. I know, everything about Loki in mythology are extremely weird but entertaining!

and he spoke in The Incredible Hulk too : "Leave me alone" , "Betty" , Hulk smash!" .

Fun Fact: About 80% of this movie was improvised. Including the "he's a friend from work" line. A kid from the Make-A-Wish program visited the set, and said that line would be good in the scene. Director Taika Waititi & Chris Hemsworth loved the line, and kept in the film. Also, the "Get Help" scene between Thor and Loki was improvised by Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.

this movie is always fighting with guardians as my favorite mcu film. they’re both so amazing and i loveeeee the dynamics in this movie. thor and Lokis dynamic is especially the highlight of the movie

One of my favorite in-universe reasons why i've heard Thor is so drastically different is that he's trying to emulate his friend from earth, Tony, because in just a few years (To an asgardian's life span being a couple months tops) Tony's been such a prominent figure in his life and helped Thor on his path in so many ways.

This was so much fun to watch. You were so in love with the movie. I mean what can we say about this, it´s just a masterpiece. So many iconic jokes and moments. I love to see character development from Loki and he looks so cool in this one. And Korg is the funniest character ever, everything that he says is pure comedy gold. Also the more we are getting to Infinity War and the more it´s being set up the more I´m nervous. We are probably not ready for it. :D

Cool Fact: Asgardians grow in power as they age. Thus it makes sense for Hela to be so strong compared to Thor. As Thor's older sister she has a few thousand years on him making her power levels close to Odin in his prime.

I'm a 55 yo gramma and not only is this my favorite MCU film it's probably in my top 20, perhaps even 10, films of all time. I've seen it more times than I can count. I actually just watched it again last week after a really bad day. Taika Waititi recognized Chris H. is a brilliant comic actor and went with it.
