Hey what happened to the other video. Its gone now Amenra hellfest@arteconcert
For me it was the most moving concert of the festival (maybe together with Ahab), Amenra really were a league on their own. The only problem were the people that were not able to shut up and disturbed everyone around them during the calmer parts.
Same in Wiesbaden... People (especially drunk) just can't shut up. But it was an intense show nonetheless
it's the same everywhere. At first I thought it's just in my country, but no. The only exception would probably be Belgium.
I was there and it was definitely the best performance on the whole festival as far i`ve seen it. Seen them first time and i`m at Summer Breeze every year. So much hoping to see Amenra next year again at SBOA!
Thats a festival thing were there is mixed audience, on solo concerts its way better because the people know how to behaive

La puissance, un très grand groupe de scène, 40 ans de metal, pour moi qui ai vu slayer et metallica en 89, pour citer les plus emblématiques, j’ai rarement vu autant de puissance couplée avec le mystique, et que dire du son… phénoménal, énorme pour les avoir vu 2 fois, j’y retourne dès que possible
je n'aime pas trop le métal mais je suis tombé raid dingue d'amenra au hellfest :) ma révélation musicale de l'année.

Yeah, it seems like sometimes they replace Boden with Thurifier in their lineup. They did the same last February in Athens
Thanks so much for posting this one! Incredible group, saw them in Spain this summer for the first time and it was a cathartic experience. Razoreater first song really shows the tone, absolutely incredible.

Thank you so much, arte. Can't get enough of them live. You should also record the concert on Dez 3th in Bochum, Germany. The small venue, Die Trompete, gives them the dot on the i lol These intensity in living room atmosphere, just incredible.
Edit: The concert will happen at Zeche Bochum.

such massive sound,but vocalist is so much below the rest of the band. like he has three notes half octave scale. man what a close call to a great performance.
I think the guitarist plays three notes per song, so I'd say it's in line lol. They are definitely not tech masters, but by goood their lives are amazing.
Ive always felt that it very intentionally adds to the music. his screams are extremely human and raw, it's all about the emotional power instead of the technique and technicality. He actually said in an interview once that he intended for his vocals to sounds like real "screams" rather than stylized vocals. Ever since I got into this band I can't get the same feeling from most over the top modern metal vocals anymore.
@@heartofbone4981 Totally agree. His vocals are what drew me in immediately the first time I heard them. Complete, unadulterated, raw, free expression straight through the lungs, the sternum and the core of the heart. From root to crown. That point of exasperation amplified to the max to hit on the deepest, hidden caverns of grief and despair. Those shrieking, shrill screams that come straight from the deepest pain. Incredible. My favourite band ever. Amenra is profound medicine.

A mi m3 llamo mucho la atención, no se el motivo pero creo que en la puesta en escena con lo que es su música cierra por todos lados. Lo pienso como darle la espalda a la vida, al mundo.
Colin explained in an interview that he doesn’t like the fact that people bring a lot of attention to the singer, cause to him the other musicians are as much as important. Also when they started to play their first gigs, the venues were so small that he often used to sing in the crowd. So he kept this habit.
I understand tho, I was a bit confused the first times, but then when I heard the explanation, it all made sense.
Na da sitzt die Unterhose aber mal so richtig eng, so wie der "Sänger" (wen man das gesang nennen kann) auf der Bühne rum kreischt muss er richtige Schmerzen haben.
